His provisionism is essentially the proportionism that Buzzardhut promotes and with which I agree. It's a far superior position than either Calvinism and Arminianism. Thank you for this link @Andy C and for the referral to Leighton Flowers, @Growing in Grace . I love finding new people who have ministries worth learning from.

I think back to the last year of Trump and first few months of Biden when breathless announcements were made about various shady characters “about to go down“ - and nothing ever did.

Even if something IS big and starting to gather momentum such as Covid it rarely happens the way people thought it would—and the “warnings“ and “advice“ don’t help much beyond increasing anxiety.

Amazingly most of us survived whether or not we got vaccinated.

I remember Y2K and the banking crisis in 08. Neither was as bad as the enthusiastic financial doom and disaster Christian teachers were predicting at the time.

The End Of The World As We Know It - is classic click bait and seems to be more available ever since Al Gore invented the internet (according to him)

Closely related to Global Warming or Cooling or Climate Change.

You’d think the Internet was specifically created to cause anxiety across the population.


Common sense things don’t increase anxiety - things like;

decrease then get out of debt,
live within your means (and a bit less for a comfortable margin),
have a pantry to deal with emergencies,
drive on the top half of the gas tank,
keep some cash in case the bank machines go down for a day or two,
know your neighbours.

Those measures lead to peace of mind and the ability to help others. But even there, it’s not always possible. God knows our needs.

“having done all, stand” as Ephesians 6:13 says.

Do what you can, and rely on God to get you through because no matter how much we worry and fret it doesn’t do anything useful and He always brings us through the deepest waters and the worst trials.

Agreed. I remember Jan Markell saying that we are going to be eating our pets if Biden got elected. I'm not going to lie, I didn't stop laughing (I think it's the look on her face while saying it and her voice) for a while and honestly, I had to back away from the entire lot of the usual ones we all hear about. There were so many knowers who knew things, who didn't know things. So many doomers and gloomers. And sensationalism ran roughshod over people that I used to frequent as an observer. A lot of people made a lot of bank, though, and people got popular for bad reasons. To be clear, I don't begrudge anyone here that keeps up with them, this is just a personal take. I just know that I'm glad I'm not waiting for every consonant and vowel out of their mouths any longer.

The 2019-2020 period was very dark for so many different reasons. For me, personally, it wasn't so much anxiety over their headlines, it was relationships. So many relationships suffered for "X is our only hope" and "Y is the mark of the beast" type conversations. It got very catty, very quick and I found myself at odds with people who I love and that to me was unacceptable. This is especially in regard to exalting suits on whatever hill you care to dream of that don't care about one of us like our families and friends do. To this day, some of those relationships are broken. I'll always look back on that era with bitterness.

Some no doubt like sensationalism, others mentioned on here stick with scripture, and try and fill in blanks for prophecy. IMO, any group that talks about end times events has to have a bit of sensationalism in them because the end times as written about in the bible are well beyond sensationalism. Even on this forum, we occasionally have a doom and gloom post, not based on anything other than opinion.

I heard Ken Ham giving a talk in Perth, Scotland. It was about 2006. It was highly relevant and about the decline of the church in Scotland being related to the decline of the belief in biblical authority. It was a timely message, well attended. God Bless :)

Today he and Holthaus are talking (and a lot of laughing and joking) about AI today. It's titled "The West is Kaput and the Church is not helping" He's great. His podcast is Serpents and Doves (from the Bible verse)

I love all of the ones mentioned above although I found a new one in Adrian's reply- I will have to look up Carter Conlon. Hadn't heard of him.

Joel Kramer of Expedition Bible (on Bible and Archaeology, how that study is lining up WITH the Bible and full of little gems on new discoveries)

Kaleb Brasee- not teaching, he LOVES the old hymns and shares them by playing his piano, with the words on screen. no talking or singing, just piano playing old hymns. I love to listen to his playlists.

Koinonia House where Chuck Missler's teachings are archived and his friend and side kick Ron Matsen continues Chuck's work

LA Marzulli - although he takes a lot of heat for some of the fringe topics he explores he keeps it Biblical. I do enjoy when he and Billy Crone, Mondo Gonzales and Bill Salus get together to talk about the more unusual aspects of what's happening today, how it relates to the Bible etc. Just last night I was listening to him talk with Mondo Gonzales about Mondo's new book on the Red Heifer Ritual. (got it, love it!)

Pre Trib Study Group - Dr Tommy Ice - he puts the videos from the PTSG online thru this channel on YT. LOVE IT -- Got a rare Dr Fruchtenbaum on the latest set!!!

I recall that happening in the fall/winter and then noticed some of the titles were about the next scriptures of a series within Daniel or other ongoing study. At least I think that's what it was for me in most cases. Can't remember for sure.
 
Still reading through the lists but if no one has mentioned him, try Gary Hamrick of Cornerstone Chapel of Leesburg Virginia. I host a home church of about 20 people and Gary Hamrick is by far, the most popular teacher, on video anyway. He's very solid. His church is near Washington DC and he is up on current events and their impact on society. Watch him, he'll become your favorite!!

Yesterday, I was praying about a problem area of mine, and seeking answers through His Word.

Last night, I was surfing through youTube links on my TV, and up popped a PPOV from Andy Woods from 2019. Its was the exact subject I was praying for answers and help for. Andy Woods videos often show up from my browsing history on YouTube, but never has one so old showed up before.

How awesome is our God!

Yeah i had the exact same scenario where i was asking to be released from an anger i held toward someone and then a forgiveness sermon from Andy came up and gave some much needed perspective to let go of that anger that i had
