Who Are the 10 Kings in Daniel and Revelation?

Daniel's 4 beasts that the angel said to Daniel are 4 kings of kingdoms in Daniel 7 which also correspond to the statue that Nebuchadnezzar saw in Daniel 2:

Babylon which corresponds to the head of gold (Dan 2) and animal type is the lion with eagles wings (Dan 7) commonly found on Babylonian artifacts and in fact labelled by Daniel in Dan 2 and again labelled by the angel in Dan 7.

The next kingdom is that of the Medo Persian Empire - the chest of silver and that animal is the bear which corresponds to even in description to the empire in history (one side greater than the other, crushing 3 ribs between it's teeth which are the 3 nations conquered by the MedoPersian empire (Babylon, Lydia and Egypt).

The 3rd kingdom is Greece- the belly and thighs of bronze in the statue, but seen as a leopard with 4 heads and 4 wings. the 4 heads and 4 wings are the 4 divisions of the Greek Empire on the death of Alexander the Great. Daniel 8 sees the ram and the goat vision explaining the greek conquest of the Medo Persian Empire.

(Rabbit trail alert: The Leopard is a symbol of greece (that corresponds to something interesting to do with Nimrod- who was usually depicted with leopards or leopard skins. This is not surprising as the influence of Babel (predating Babylon by approx 1,600 years give or take) filtered down thru religious symbols and legends into many cultures as God divided the language and sent the people out in all directions.)

Finally the 4rth Kingdom- Rome is the legs of iron, feet part of iron, part of clay in the statue, It is not described as an animal other than a great and terrible beast in Dan 7. It is different, it has 10 horns, out of which another horn comes up, and 3 of the horns fall before it. It has iron teeth and bronze claws, it crushes and devours then stamps on the remainder.

The angel explains this in Daniel 7:23-27:

23 “He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it.

24 The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings.

25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time.

26 “‘But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever.

27 Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.’

So here we see that this fourth beast who was the iron kingdom is Rome as we see the angel elsewhere explains to Daniel that the prince to come comes from the people (rome) who destroyed the Temple.

Rome didn't actually conquer the whole earth, so that is yet to come.

Daniel has another vision in chapter 8- the timeline is explained by Gabriel in chapter 9 which gives further historical details that pinpoint Rome both in the time of Christ, the destruction of the Temple and the prince to come (the AC)

Each Empire has echoes of Babel. In it's leaders and in it's attempts to form a world empire to dominate the globe. Hitler gave it his best efforts as did Napoleon before him in the recent past, but none have succeeded in their attempts at a world empire.

I've mentioned before that it's interesting that the Caesars split 3 ways- East, West and North. Initially the Roman Empire split in 2- East ruled by Constantinople, and West ruled by Rome. Rome fell into decay and was replaced by various versions, the final form being the "Holy Roman Empire" which was neither holy nor roman, but culminated in the blood line of the Kaisers of Germany (the second Reich) which Hitler tried to replace with his 3rd Reich. The blood line of the eastern Caesars fled north when Constantinople fell to the muslim hordes and mingled with the Tsars- another word for Caesar. Then of course the Ottoman Empire took over the area of the eastern Roman empire and hung on till WW 1, when all three Caesar ish lines came to a messy end.

And at that point WW1 we had the Balfour Declaration, by WW2 we had the Holocaust and out of the ashes of WW2 we saw the rebirth of Israel as a nation. Rome as an idea comes down to different govts who use it's symbols in architecture, symbols, money or political systems. (America being one, but Russia used the double headed eagle long before America was founded- as a symbol of the Tsars. So did Germany for a brief period but went back to the single headed eagle) The imperial Roman eagle was on the standards of the legions.

Nimrod -the first of many AntiChrist types and Babel's false religion -gives rise to the mother son cults around the world but best known as Nimrod's wife Semiramis and her son Tammuz which turned into Isis, Osiris and Horus over in Egypt, and gives rise to some slightly different gods in the Greek pantheon and over to Rome who borrowed most of the pantheon from Greece. These "gods" tend to blend into different cultures in slightly different ways. The mother child cults are all around the globe, predating Christianity in what appears to be Satans attempt to have a myth already in place to explain the coming seed of the woman.

The god of fortresses is associated with Cybele who is also associated with Semiramis. Often seen with a crown of turrets on her head. Semiramis also gave rise to the weeping for Tammuz aka the sun god which was celebrated around the spring and is found in Ezek 8 where the women were found doing that detestable practice. It was a 40 day fasting period that was "sanctified" by turning it into Lent before Easter via the Roman Catholic habit of grabbing Babylonian religious stuff and bunging it straight into church.

Sadly when Rome decided to convert to Christianity as the state religion, they imported a lot of these cults and their pagan priests into the church, creating a horrible mixture that gave us the ancient demonic "gods" aka fallen angels migrating into the church as "saints" to be venerated - statues of these "saints" being worshipped in much the same ways as ancient Rome used to worship various gods- of the hearth, the doorposts, fertility, yada yada.

The idea of Western Civilization as it's called is deeply rooted into Roman ideas and the Bible. So it's rooted into pagan Rome, rooted back into Babel BUT it's also rooted in the Bible. Democracy was first really started as an experiment in Greece. It travelled to Rome. It's been an occasional experiment in Western countries ever since.

Both the Bible and Roman ideas took hold in Western Europe as Rome itself decayed from within. The Bible, travelled along the Roman roads to the far reaches of the Ancient Roman Empire and beyond.

There is a westward push that really revs up during the period of time bracketed by the invention of the Printing press (1440), Columbus sailing west (1492), the Reformation (1517) and the Renaissance. The Renaissance was sparked by the fall of Constantinople in (1453), and the scrolls of the ancient libraries being carried out as the refugees from the Eastern Roman Empire, took their prized belonging and fled. This happened over a period of time as the Muslims attacked in waves But the final fall was in 1453.

The ancient books (some good, some bad) sparked the Renaissance - which revived a lot of "classical" Roman and Greek architecture and literature while at the same time the Reformation was beginning to gather steam and there was constant efforts to get the Bible into the hands and language of the common man.

So in a generation you had the printing press-1440, the fall of Constantinople in 1453, and the Reformation in 1517. The Wycliffe Bible came before the printing press in 1382 but the original KJV was 1611 so the Bible came to the hands of the common man about 94 years or so after Luther nailed his theses to the door of the Wittenburg Cathedral)

Quite a period of change after the stagnation of the Dark and Middle Ages and the slow end of the feudal era. For reference the Magna Carta was 1215 and it was the first attack on the rights of the king versus the rights of his people that would become democracy.

Soon things went west again to the "new world".

America took root, but even in it's beginnings as a nation in 1776 the ideas of Christianity jostled with the Masonic ideas of some of the founders resulting in some decidedly ancient Roman and pagan things showing up in the obelisk and dome structures, the apotheosis of Washington in the Capitol (another Roman idea) and the layout of Washington DC.

America was the final stage going west of the ancient pagan ideas carried in by the Masonic connections with the founding fathers, but the Bible came before Washington DC had a White House, a Capitol building with it's Obelisk. The Bible arrived with the Pilgrims, who wanted a nation built on Biblical principles.

At some point future this westward push will turn back and go east.

WW2 sees America take the lead in the world stage, as Britain broke her promises to the Jews and fell from her pre WW1 heights. America protects Israel and serves as a haven for the Jews from the founding fathers. America is blessed as a result.

When Israel forms after WW2- the Jews begin to flood back to Israel (the initial Zionist start occurred while the Ottoman Empire still "owned" the land back in the 1890s).

Israel and America are intertwined. Jews found a safe haven in America. Americans have been instrumental during Israel's various wars to preserve her, although not without cost as the constant pressure to accept a 2 state solution has resulted in disasters such as Gaza and the so called "west bank" aka Judea and Samaria aka the mountains of Israel that Ezekiel refers to.

America has had threads of the gospel and Babylon woven into it's national fabric. America sent the gospel out more than any other nation- but they also sent Hollywood, and occult stuff, New Age stuff and other pagan ideas.

America since WW2 has influenced the entire world. Economically, politically, militarily and via missions and crusades under Billy Graham, biblically as well. The era of the crusades from the 50's to the 90s really influenced that generation. Billy retired in 2005 and nobody has really taken his place. He died in 2018.

Since the Jesus movement of the 70's the gospel started to really take hold among Jews, and Messianic congregations of Jewish believers in Jesus are now a big deal in Israel.

The gospel began to go back east to it's start.

Babel's false religions- the pagan stuff, the new age stuff, the occult stuff will also head back at some point to it's origins.

Because Revelation is the tale of Two Cities. Jerusalem and Babylon or Babel.

The City of God is not Rome, (contrary to the Catholic Augustine- founder of the new pope's order- who wrote a book claiming it was Rome) but it is Jerusalem. Jerusalem where it all began.

The City of the anti God forces of humanity (helped along by evil fallen angels) is Babylon- named for Babel where it was built and flourished. Babel where the rebellion of man began not too long after the flood.

Rome is an interesting situation because it has a pope that is an Augustinian. Augustine wrote The City of God in 413-326 or so and that influenced the church for centuries. In a bad way.

Rome is also the bridge between the ancient Babylon which bridges back to Babel, but it also provides the structure for the American idea of a Republic. So Rome is a way point in Babel's westward travels.

At some point she goes back as Zechariah 5 indicates, as @Marilyn C points out.

It's an interesting pattern.
