SoCal: Evacuations Underway as Massive 60+ sq mile Wildfires Rage Out of Control Amidst Santa Ana Winds

Evacuations were underway as a massive wildfire raged out of control and engulfed homes in Pacific Palisades, California, on Tuesday.

According to AccuWeather, wind gusts reached up to 65 miles per hour in Southern California on Tuesday.

Shocking video of a ‘fire tornado’ was posted to X.

People panicked after they got stuck in traffic trying to flee the fire and abandoned their cars on Sunset Blvd.

The cars were being bulldozed to make room for emergency vehicles.

During the presidential briefing with the LA command at the fire, when Biden was finished talking, he handed it off the VP Harris, and Biden said “I know you are affected by this fire, so “fire away”, then said “no pun intended”. Typical comment behavior with someone with dementia not understanding this joke line was inappropriate.

He did that at Jimmy Carter's eulogy too. Biden spoke at the eulogy and started talking about his son, Again, having nothing to do with anything at the eulogy.
He's not in his right mind and cannot understand reality.

CBS News Live coverage of Los Angeles fires 🔥

A lot's been said about the expensive houses and celebs, but what about all the "little people?"

You know, the average working Jane and Joe, who probably lost everything, including their work uniforms, when they ran, carrying little kids and (if lucky) maybe a diaper bag?
And the homeless people, who had little or nothing to begin with?
And the college kids, who know nothing and have no clue what to do now, especially if they lost or forgot their cell phones? Or cell service is out, so they're useless, now, anyway.
And the elderly, trapped in nursing homes and at the mercy of staff, family members, or good samaritans to evacuate them, or God to protect them?

  :amen: :amen: :thankyou: :thankyou:

While there are the average people in that area, it's primarily elites that live in that area. I think that's why the focus is on celebraties by the media.
It's like it would be in Beverly Hills. There might be a few residing there that are not wealthy but for the most part only the wealthy could afford living in the area that's burning at this time. From homes to the shopping, it's all expensive, that only wealthy people can afford this area of Palisades and Hollywood and surrounding cities.

I bet there are a lot of average Janes and Joes that work in those stores, including unseen, behind-the-scenes jobs. If they were at work, they had to evacuate, and I bet a lot were dependent on mass transit, uber, etc. Even if they weren't at work at the time, if the places they worked at are now piles of ash and rubble, they're now out of work. Depending on benefits and how they were structured, and whether or not the employer has other location(s), they might have lost a great deal more than just a job and health insurance.

There are celebrities getting on their social media crying and asking for others to donate to their family members through gofundme.
Multi-millionaires asking regular folk to give money to their own family members who have lost homes in the fires.

With attitudes like that is no wonder there are people on the internet reacting with comments like "finally, we have a beautiful view of the ocean." 😳

Santa Ana winds blow directly from East to West and are pretty strong winds. I just saw a recent picture of a SoCal (Pacific Palisades) fire that showed the smoke rising mostly straight up. Have the Santa Anas ended? They don't usually last too many days before they disappear as quickly as they came.

A wild fire typically ebbs and flows in one direction and then another from regular winds and the winds created by the fire itself. It'll often go out when it turns back into territory that has already burned. In the case of a fire driven by Santa Anas, the only thing that will stop it is the Pacific ocean.

I attribute my lifetime enjoyment of wind, including Wyoming winds, to the magnificent joy I enjoyed from riding my stingray bicycle with the Santa Ana winds when they would come (when I was a wee lad). I felt like I was going so so fast and that was something for a little kid and his stingray bike. I probably even clipped a few playing cards onto the spokes for the sound effect!

Anyway Los Angeles ports are needed for our supply chain to get distributed.
Can you imagine if the fires burn the ports of call and we couldn't get our essential goods?
Los Angeles is more than the entertainment capitol of the world.

The SoCal coast is a pretty busy place. Because of the problems with COVID shutdowns, some of the supply chain coming in by container ships shifted to other parts of the country, but I reckon a lot still arrives through SoCal.

I thought the wildfires we had a couple of summers ago looked eerie but this is 10x worse.

All the abandoned cars and destruction here brought about a thought that scenes like this is a taste of what the scenes would look like after the rapture maybe😟

Yeah, I picture this level of devastation in one form or another on a global scale, and happening over and over again. The Tribulation years are not going to be fun.

Which begs the question, who is really running the White House? It sure isn't diben... and how have they managed to keep that information under wraps these years?

Palisades Fire forces new evacuations near Encino and Brentwood

LOS ANGELES - A massive flare-up of the Palisades Fire erupted Friday night, forcing a new round of mandatory evacuations and shutting down major roads in the area.

The Palisades Fire broke out on Tuesday, Jan. 7 and has burned through over 21,000 acres in and around the Pacific Palisades. The fire has killed at least five people so far.

As of Friday morning, the fire had grown to 21,596 acres with 8% containment. According to Cal Fire, the latest aerial survey of the Palisades Fire estimates that the number of structures destroyed is now 5,316. According to Cal Fire "structures" can include residential and commercial properties, RVs, sheds or other "minor buildings."

Around 7 p.m. Friday, a new flare-up on the northeastern edge of the fire broke out, forcing evacuations in the Mandeville Canyon and Encino areas. The flames have also led officials to consider closing portions of the 405 Freeway near Bel-Air and Brentwood.

My heart aches for everyone suffering through this.

Pacific Palisades Reservoir Found Empty and Offline During Firestorm Catastrophe – 117 Million Gallons Could Have Saved the Day

Outrage is boiling over after revelations that the Santa Ynez Reservoir, a critical water source in Pacific Palisades, was empty and offline when a devastating wildfire ripped through the area.

The Los Angeles Times reported that despite the reservoir’s critical role in the city’s water infrastructure, it had been offline for nearly a year.

The Santa Ynez Reservoir, with a capacity of 117 million gallons, could have played a critical role in providing water pressure to firefighters battling the devastating fire that destroyed thousands of homes and buildings in Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Malibu.

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power’s (DWP) officials claim the reservoir had been offline for “a while” due to a tear in its cover.

Actor Producer Mel Gibson gives an interview on Fox News. This is a quote from Mel Gibson and I think he's spot on in thinking it's a "deliberate" action by politicians in California to seek to destroy it

"California has a lot of problems that sort of baffle the mind as far as why they do things, and then in the events like this, you sort of look, well — is it on purpose? Which, it's an insane thing to think, but one begins to ponder whether or not there is a purpose in mind."

There's no excuse for the reservoirs to be "empty".
Leaders whether State or City officials had control to assure the reservoirs were replenished but chose not to.
