IDF prepares 'significant' retaliatory strike to Iran's missile barrage

The IDF on Saturday commented regarding the retaliation against Iran for launching ballistic missiles toward Israel, clarifying that combat is currently ongoing on seven different fronts. Alongside the continued fighting in Gaza and the West Bank, Israeli soldiers and forces are engaged in operations in Lebanon, Iran, and its proxies in Yemen, Syria, and Iraq.

The struggle with Iran is viewed as a direct conflict, and it is expected that the Iranians will be preoccupied with their own affairs rather than just with their proxies in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza, Yemen, and Iraq.

The IDF plans to respond significantly but has not detailed the nature of that response. The IDF noted that the Iranians launched 201 missiles from Iran to Israel, some of which impacted targets.

Consequently, there is a broad recommendation within the IDF to respond to the Iranian attack while minimizing risks and maximizing opportunities.

I still believe that Israel will wait another week or so possibly before “attacking.”
I’m waiting on more fanfare to make the Israeli headlines, as part of the ongoing fog of war and to continue the mental stress that Iran is under currently, as they wait for the “what if” scenario.

That being said, Israel’s strike on Iran will be powerful and NOT MODERATE, but “HIGHLY SIGNIFICANT,” and Israel must brace for extended rounds of confrontation with Iran 🇮🇷

“Our response will be decisive and far from restrained. We believe there’s a strong likelihood that Iran will retaliate, and if so, Israel must be ready to respond to any further escalation.”

The Israeli defense source also highlighted that a severe Iranian counterattack could pull the U.S. 🇺🇸 into the war: “We must be prepared for a SUBSTANTIAL EXCHANGE, which could draw in the Americans—something Iran 🇮🇷 will definitely want to avoid.”

Israel 🇮🇱 may or may not do the attack on Iran 🇮🇷 by itself, without US 🇺🇸 Help. Last week, the USS Harry Truman was heading to the Mediterranean, in an attempt to aid Israel's attack plans.

So much for that 💡 idea.

The USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) that was supposed to deploy in the MIDDLE WAR, in defense of ISRAEL, CHANGED COURSE for the North Sea, accompanied by the destroyers USS Stout and USS Jason Dunham, and the cruisers USS Leyte Gulf and USS Gettysburg. 2 days ago it rounded the northern part of Spain 🇪🇸 and today it is traversing between Belgium 🇧🇪 and the UK 🇬🇧

Tonight, Netanyahu has been presented with several operational plans for action vs Iran, N12News is reporting. Israel’s political & military leaders are currently meeting at IDF HQ in Tel Aviv to discuss these strike options.

Israel might act SOONER than LATER. IDF is disrupting GPS services around Defense Ministry & military HQ in Tel Aviv, ahead of the expected Iranian response upcoming from the Israeli strike in Iran.

It's a new week and the Israeli attack discussion is underway, as Israeli officials are hinting to American journalists that the Israeli strike on Iran will take place within 48 hours.
(How many times have we heard the 24-48 hour regimen lately)

Israel 🇮🇱 and Iran 🇮🇷 do not seem to attack when the media is reporting 24-48 hours as being a possibility. They act when no one is paying attention, as a surprise factor. That being said, Israel is waiting IMHO until the USA THAAD system is set up over the next few days before officially getting the green light.

Israel is on the record for saying that they want MAXIMUM USA 🇺🇸 coordination and support, before doing what they are planning on doing.

What is Israel planning on doing? THAT'S the million dollar question.

The Washington Post is reporting that Prime Minister Netanyahu told Biden that he is planning to target the IRGC military infrastructure in Iran, and NOT the nuclear ☢️ sites or oil ⛽️ facilities. NOT YET.

The attack on the Iranian Nuclear projects may happen in the future, and not now. Israel 🇮🇱 will hit hard enough, forcing Iran 🇮🇷 to retaliate strongly, which will then give Israel more reasons and "permission" to target oil ⛽️ and/or nuclear ☢️ sites in another round.

But then again, Israel reportedly not targeting Iranian nuclear sites in an upcoming counter-strike may simply mean no Israeli aerial bombing, just YET.

“Supply chain facilities mysteriously catching fire, exploding, or with sudden unexplained damage, might be a different story.”

Mossad was most likely involved with a fire that broke out Saturday in the Shadabad iron market in Tehran, Iran 🇮🇷 This was at a location "linked to the production of chips for parts of centrifuges and valves that can be used by Iran's nuclear industry."

The Washington Post citing officials: Netanyahu informed the Biden administration that Israel will strike military targets, not oil or nuclear facilities, in Iran.

In my opinion - Netanyahu banks on an Iranian response to a very strong Israeli strike on missile and IRGC bases. That would already be after the U.S. elections and this would allow him to strike the oil and nuclear sites without being accused of “elections interference”.

Was chatting with a colleague earlier, and she mentioned this. "All I can think is that God is restraining it until the right time. I wonder if, in part, it is to impact the people of the world. It's sort of making us all numb to it."

Making us numb to it all?
100% agreed. Restraint is still in place. Today at least.

Yesterday Israel saw 38 operations from Hezbollah on Israel and today saw 33—are we looking at 30+ operations becoming the new norm? The past few weeks have averaged 21 Hezbollah attacks per day. The pressure is definitely building…

Hezbollah is mixing and matching attacks. Striking not only along the northern border against the advancing IDF troops into Lebanon and the Golan entering Syria, but targeting 🎯 areas Further in to Israel, like Haifa & Tel Aviv.

It seems Hezbollah is entering a new phase, aiming to turn Haifa—and possibly Tel Aviv—into the next Kiryat Shmona (a war torn community in northern Israel between Lebanon and the Golan.)

Iran indirectly threatens US forces against operating in Israel

Iran on Sunday warned the U.S. to keep its military forces out of Israel. The comments came in a post on the social platform X long associated with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who helped reached Iran’s 2015 nuclear deal with world powers. Araghchi referred to the possibility that the U.S. might send one of its Terminal High Altitude Area Defense systems to Israel. Any move of one of the systems, known by the acronym THAAD, to Israel would involve the deployment of soldiers to operate the complex system.

Iraq also warned Israel not to use its airspace if it attacks Tehran. Israel is widely believed to be preparing a military response to Iran’s Oct. 1 attack when it fired roughly 180 missiles into Israel.

Israel 🇮🇱 won't attack Iran 🇮🇷 until the "game-changing" THAAD & its American 🇺🇸 crew is deployed, and it doesn't look like any reports on it has happened yet.

That being said, MerchOsint could be on to something by saying, “THAAD Anti-Ballistic Missile System delivery?”

✈️ 2 x USAF C-17 Cargo Aircrafts from Anniston Airfield in Alabama, closest airfield to the major US Army weapons storage site "Anniston Army Depot", is heading to the Nevatim Air Force Base in Israel.

Reuters reported earlier today that the THAAD system was “arriving on Tuesday.”

When will it be ready and active for duty? “Within the 24-48 hour timeframe” that we’ve been hearing about today vs Iran 🇮🇷 Time will tell.

PM consults Gallant, IDF chief on response to Iran missile strike

Unannounced meeting held at intelligence base after Biden administration decides to deploy THAAD air defense system to assist Israel in intercepting ballistic missiles

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi held a confidential discussion on Sunday night at an Intelligence base. The focus was on a potential Israeli strike on Iran in retaliation for the missile attacks earlier this month.

This meeting, which included representatives from the IDF Intelligence Directorate, indicates that the decision on this critical matter will rest solely with these three top officials. Other members of the political-security cabinet will only be briefed on the broad outlines of the decision.

Before the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah last month, Netanyahu visited an intelligence base and received a detailed briefing from officers regarding the potential operation. Military sources suggest that this visit gave Netanyahu the confidence to approve the action and further operations against the Shiite terrorist organization.

Sunday's meeting is one of several discussions among the three, expected to make the decision, but it is considered the most significant so far. A source familiar with the details said that the three were aligned on the objectives and are likely to keep them from additional cabinet members to prevent any information leaks.

Ben Gvir, Israel’s National Security Minister and hardliner, commented on the planned attack on Iran.

“Netanyahu is making a courageous decision.”

For Ben Gvir to say this, he knows that what Israel 🇮🇱 is planning, could very well shape the outcome of the Middle East for many months to come.

Russia tells Israel to not even consider attacking Iranian nuclear facilities, TASS says

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia is warning Israel to not even consider striking Iranian nuclear facilities, state news agency TASS quoted Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov as saying on Thursday.

After Iran's missile attack on Israel on Oct. 1, there has been speculation that Israel could strike Iran's nuclear facilities, as it has long threatened to do.

"We have repeatedly warned and continue to warn, to caution (Israel) against even hypothetically considering the possibility of a strike on (Iranian) nuclear facilities and nuclear infrastructure," Ryabkov was quoted by TASS as saying.

"This would be a catastrophic development and a complete negation of all existing principles in the area of ensuring nuclear safety."

Aside from the number of nukes that Russia has, Israel has a military superior to theirs.

Better to have a nuclear nightmare in parts of Iran than in Israel after Iran lobs a nuke at them.

Israeli Energy Minister and former FM Eli Cohen to Israel’s Walla News.

“We have yet to show even 10% of our unprecedented intelligence capabilities.

We're committed to preventing the Iranians from acquiring nuclear ☢️ weapons.

Therefore, ALL OPTIONS are on the table, including attacking nuclear facilities.

There is no military facility or infrastructure or PERSON in Iran who has immunity."

The United States has now sent 19 C-17 Cargo planes to Israel’s 🇮🇱 Nevatim Air Base since October 14th, when the THAAD anti-ballistic missile system deployment was announced.

AND… More flights are planned...

The US is not sending all this for nothing. They must know Israel's plans and believe the conflict in the region CAN and WILL take a violent turn in the days to come.

Unless more players enter the war, I believe Iran's proxies are already doing just about everything they're capable of, and I believe Iran itself did everything it was capable of twice and will need a short while to re-arm to do it again.

It appears that Syria does not want a war with Israel. Hezbollah is severely wounded, hamas is almost dead. Iran really can't do more than they have done. They can send their Navy and watch all of it get sunk. The Houthies aren't much to begin with as they haven't had time to arm like hamas and hezbollah did and they're also moderately wounded.

Any violent turn will be Israel and God punishing her enemies even more than is happening now.

Inside Israel’s secret 20-year plan to strike Iran: Advanced weapons unveiled

From long-range missiles to bunker-busting bombs, Israel has spent decades and billions developing specialized munitions for a possible attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Over recent decades, Israel’s defense establishment has invested billions in preparing for a potential strike on Iran, developing specialized munitions along the way. Some of these capabilities were only revealed after being sold to foreign air forces. Here’s what can be disclosed amidst these preparations.

Iran’s nuclear facilities and ballistic missile bases are deeply embedded underground, in contrast to less-protected targets like oil terminals. Additionally, Iran operates an advanced air defense system, primarily domestically developed. According to their claims, yet to be tested, this system matches the capabilities of Russian systems like the S-300, which can intercept missiles launched by Israel. However, the Israeli-attributed strike on Isfahan after Iran’s April attack was not intercepted by these advanced defenses. Iran also maintains an outdated fleet, including Russian MiG-29s and American F-14s from the Shah’s era, which continue to operate despite international sanctions.

In light of these challenges, Israel’s defense forces have spent 20 years preparing for a possible strike on Iran, investing billions of dollars and shekels. This investment includes developing specialized munitions, some of which even the US declined to sell to Israel, as well as innovations not available to the US.

Interesting article. I'd like to know what they have weapon-wise that isn't reported here or otherwise known. I guess we might find out soon.

The S300 air defense system isn't anywhere near state-of-the art though it is quite capable. If Israeli Air Forces are going to be spending any amount of time over Iran, it's very likely that Israel will first destroy at least parts of the Iranian Air Defense System so that they can own the sky over Iran.
