IDF prepares 'significant' retaliatory strike to Iran's missile barrage

The IDF on Saturday commented regarding the retaliation against Iran for launching ballistic missiles toward Israel, clarifying that combat is currently ongoing on seven different fronts. Alongside the continued fighting in Gaza and the West Bank, Israeli soldiers and forces are engaged in operations in Lebanon, Iran, and its proxies in Yemen, Syria, and Iraq.

The struggle with Iran is viewed as a direct conflict, and it is expected that the Iranians will be preoccupied with their own affairs rather than just with their proxies in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza, Yemen, and Iraq.

The IDF plans to respond significantly but has not detailed the nature of that response. The IDF noted that the Iranians launched 201 missiles from Iran to Israel, some of which impacted targets.

Consequently, there is a broad recommendation within the IDF to respond to the Iranian attack while minimizing risks and maximizing opportunities.

Why do I get the feeling that after such a long time passing since Israel was attacked by Iran, their highly anticipated response will fizzle out like their last response to Iran? Why is Israel waiting so long? Surely they had hundreds of targets pre coordinated for an immediate response after Irans attack.

I read a short piece on Telegram this morning from an Israeli Defense source that the US leaks gave the enemy too much of an idea so the important element of surprise was gone so they're having to re-plan everything. I hope Israel does what it needs to do soon.

Bibi is a very cunning and accomplished chess player (we called it "perspicacity" on the Spaceman-thread).
They worked tiresly in silence to scram smartphones, and sell exploding pagers and walkie-talkies to terrorists.

Israel is finalizing plans to attack Iran with NEW WEAPONS to be used and NEW munitions never seen used before. The IDF designed 3 different strike operations against Iran and its regional allies.

The plans are not limited to bombing Iran’s nuclear sites. The blueprints also outline an all-out assault on the Iranian regime and its military arm, the IRGC. The Israeli Air Force is ready to attack Iran NOW when the government orders a strike.

Israel’s military planners are relying on detailed intelligence acquired from many sources to plan flight routes and strike methods for each target. The IAF will employ multiple types of high-precision munitions, including cruise and anti-radar missiles, as well as laser and GPS guided bombs.

The Iran mission will likely be executed in 3 phases.

1st phase will involve airstrikes supported by electronic and cyber warfare to disable and destroy Iran’s air defenses.

2nd phase will include a heavy aerial bombardment of up to 15 critical nuclear and military sites.

In the 3rd phase, Israel will aim to launch another wave of strikes possibly supported by the Navy.

A senior Israeli security official quoted by Army Radio denies a British report that Israel was forced to delay a potential retaliatory attack on Iran after details of the planning were leaked from the Pentagon.

“There’s no connection between the leaking of the documents from the Pentagon and the choice of timing for the attack on Iran,” the security source is quoted as saying.

The official says that while several "time windows" have been discussed, no final date has been set for the Israeli attack response.

“We will choose the appropriate date according to operational opportunities,” the source tells Army Radio.

Marked top secret, the documents first appeared online Friday on the Telegram messaging app and quickly spread among Telegram channels popular with Iranians. The FBI is still "investigating the leak."

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is in QATAR working on a new plan for Hamas to release the hostages and for Israel to agree to a ceasefire in Gaza. Blinken also warned Iran from QATAR not to respond to Israel in the days to come.

Blinken must have WARNED Qatar of the coming Israeli attack on Iran, as Qatar Airways announced that it is suspending flights to Iran, Iraq and Lebanon and is limiting flights to Jordan amid the expanding tensions ongoing with the upcoming Israeli strike on Iran.

Well the delay of the last month allowed Israel to get the THAAD system in place from America which will deal with incoming missiles that their David's Sling, Iron Dome and that other one I forget the name of.

During that delay, they've been able to knock out more of Hamas and more importantly weaken Hezbollah significantly especially hitting the gold and currency supply along with munitions.

The leak from America exposed the plans which had been hammered out within the American "permissions" and threats to withhold needed armaments. At that point Israel wasn't "allowed" to attack the nuclear facilities or much else of strategic importance as Biden's admin team (obama and co) wanted to keep it dialed down with their friends in Iran able to escape to fight another day.

Then Iran attacked Netanyahu's home, which by God's grace didn't harm the Netanyahu family BUT gave Israel "permission" in the Americans eyes to escalate the response.

Then we noticed that a few key moments that looked likely, only went to further the attacks on Lebanons Hezbollah. So firming things up on that front.

AND a lot of chatter coming from Israel since that attack on Netanyahu and the leak from Washington that they would be changing the attack strategy. Sources I've read over the past few days indicate a prolonged series of strikes, not a once and done.

It remains to be seen when that will take place- the leaker delayed things and did force a change of plans obviously in spite of press releases saying otherwise. It's embarrassed the Washington elite trying to place their puppet Harris in power in early November and given Israel a bit more freedom.

Seems to me like God's timing in these things.

I should add that 2 key stumbles by Israel's opponents are significant and I think God did that to allow Israel some room to attack more broadly.

1-Opponents in the American admin were embarrassed by the sudden leak and
2 Enemies in Iran stumbled badly by attacking Netanyahu directly at his home.

God's delays are always instructive. This seems likely that when things do take place, it will NOT go according to Iran's wishes or the present US administration

Is an Israeli and USA strike on Iran looming? A squadron of 12 US Air Force KC-135R tankers are heading towards the Middle East, accompanied by at least 20 F-16 fighters.

The USAF F-16s from the 480th Fighter Squadron based at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany have arrived in the U.S. CentCom area of responsibility in the Middle East.

The F-16s will be used for CAP (Combat Air Patrols) in the attack on Iran in sorties for SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defense)

Although it has not been specified whether the US will support Israeli attacks against Iran , the mobilization suggests high military readiness in the area.

The USA is moving this hardware to the Middle East for a REASON…

Israel IS getting ready for the attack on Iran and my gut says that Israel will hold off and begin with a SUNDAY NIGHT attack showtime scenario.

This MOST LIKELY will not be a 1 and done kind of Israeli attack on Iran. Not including any USA Refueler tankers, Israel can do this with their tankers alone. Israel could be planning a 3 day attack scenario of all things.

Israel has 7 refueling 707s in the IAF’s Desert Giants Squadron 120, so Israel can deploy 6 tanker packages of 2 707s in order to execute 3 waves of airstrikes 4 times per day, with an estimated average of 6-hour intervals between each takeoff.

This equates to 12 strike packages delivered approximately every 2 hours around the clock for a virtually continuous presence at the push point.

Assuming 7 minute refueling time for each IAF F-35I, 2 Israeli tankers can refuel 10-12 F-35i strike packages in 35-40 minutes en route to push point and again en route to base from rendezvous point post-on-stage.

Altogether, the IAF can hit somewhere in the ball park of 120-130 sites a day, severely damaging the IRGC-AF’s defensive and offensive capabilities within 72 hours. After 3 days, the IAF could theoretically strike about 450 sites.

As long as Iran maintains its offensive hypersonic missile capabilities, Iran is liable to heavily target Israel’s airbases, critical military installations and civilian centers.

Therefore, before Israel considers hitting oil, nuclear, or any other strategic assets, Israel will need to knock the front teeth out this snake when it strikes. Israel might front-load its 1st strike to meet these objectives, coordinating all 3 waves in rapid succession shaped by Jericho II and III missile strikes tightly preceded by cyber, electronic warfare and internal sabotage operations.

Israel’s 1st strike will likely be designed to leave Iran’s Air Force and missile capabilities reeling and off-balance long enough for Israel’s fleet to reconstitute and launch the next set of waves. These are likely to then settle into a steady pace for at least 72 hours given the volume, geographic and strategic depth of their missile program.

Whatever the challenges, one thing remains certain. Israel always finds a way to DEFY GRAVITY, and alter the Iranian realities on the ground (and in the air) and take the entire region by storm.
