IDF prepares 'significant' retaliatory strike to Iran's missile barrage

The IDF on Saturday commented regarding the retaliation against Iran for launching ballistic missiles toward Israel, clarifying that combat is currently ongoing on seven different fronts. Alongside the continued fighting in Gaza and the West Bank, Israeli soldiers and forces are engaged in operations in Lebanon, Iran, and its proxies in Yemen, Syria, and Iraq.

The struggle with Iran is viewed as a direct conflict, and it is expected that the Iranians will be preoccupied with their own affairs rather than just with their proxies in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza, Yemen, and Iraq.

Consequently, there is a broad recommendation within the IDF to respond to the Iranian attack while minimizing risks and maximizing opportunities.

Israel is not sharing its upcoming attack plans with ANYBODY. Israel is being very tight lipped about these plans for a reason.

NBC News quoted US officials as saying:

"We believe that the Israelis have reached a consensus on the targets that will be hit in their response to the Iranian attack.

The Israeli strike is expected during the time window extending from the YOM KIPPUR holiday until SUNDAY." (Hinting at a Saturday night attack tomorrow night into the early hours on Sunday possibly)

Keep in mind that Iran's attack October 1st was Iran's retaliation for the Israeli assassinations that have taken place on in Lebanon and Iran, the past few weeks.

SO, the upcoming Israeli response to Iran will be considered a "NEW ATTACK" by Israel and will require Iranian retaliation.

Could be some tense days ahead. We'll see.

The response to the Iranian attack: a senior Israeli official said “the action will come (in the NEXT 3 WEEKS) BEFORE the US presidential elections.” The USS Harry Truman Carrier Strike Group will get to the eastern Mediterranean in the next 7-10 days.
