Hamas militant group has started a war that ‘Israel will win,’ defense minister says

Christian combat soldier sacrifices life for Israel: Sgt.-Maj. Urija Bayer

Sergeant-Major (Sgt.-Maj.) Urija Bayer was a Christian combat soldier in the IDF who lost his life in battle on Sunday. He was proud to serve in the IDF and defend Israel.

IDF Sgt.-Maj. Urija Bayer succumbed to his wounds on Sunday after being seriously injured in battle in the southern Gaza Strip on December 14, the IDF reported. Bayer, 20, from Ma’alot-Tarshiha, was a member of the Maglan Special Forces unit of the Nahal Brigade and a German Evangelical Christian who chose to volunteer in the army. His grandparents moved to Israel to help support Holocaust survivors.

“At the end of the day, as Christians, we have to pay the highest price we can pay for this country,” he said. “We are willing to give our lives for Israel.”

Netanyahu’s 3 Peace Conditions: Destroy Hamas, Demilitarize Gaza, Deprogram Palestinians

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu published an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal on Christmas Day laying out his three basic conditions for peace in post-war Gaza: destroy Hamas, demilitarize Gaza, and de-radicalize the Palestinian population.

First, Hamas, a key Iranian proxy, must be destroyed. The U.S., U.K., France, Germany and many other countries support Israel’s intention to demolish the terror group. To achieve that goal, its military capabilities must be dismantled and its political rule over Gaza must end. Hamas’s leaders have vowed to repeat the Oct. 7 massacre “again and again.” That is why their destruction is the only proportional response to prevent the repeat of such horrific atrocities. Anything less guarantees more war and more bloodshed.

Second, Gaza must be demilitarized. Israel must ensure that the territory is never again used as a base to attack it. Among other things, this will require establishing a temporary security zone on the perimeter of Gaza and an inspection mechanism on the border between Gaza and Egypt that meets Israel’s security needs and prevents smuggling of weapons into the territory.

Third, Gaza will have to be deradicalized. Schools must teach children to cherish life rather than death, and imams must cease to preach for the murder of Jews. Palestinian civil society needs to be transformed so that its people support fighting terrorism rather than funding it.

Israel Targets Central Gaza; Last Hamas Stronghold, Rocket Site

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Tuesday that it had begun fighting in the central Gaza Strip, one of the last major Hamas strongholds, and the source of much of the remaining rocket fire that terrorists have managed to launch from at Israeli civilians.

In the first stage of the ground invasion, which began in late October, the IDF focused on the northern Gaza Strip, and urged Palestinian civilians to move south of the Wadi Gaza river, south of Gaza City. After Hamas broke a week-long truce on December 1, the IDF moved into southern Gaza — much to the apparent surprise of Hamas, since the U.S. had publicly urged Israel not to do so. At that point, as Breitbart News noted, Israel began dividing the Gaza Strip into three parts — northern, southern, and central.

Fighting remains intense in the south, particularly in the city of Khan Yunis. But according to social media reports, the IDF has begun carving out roads from southern into central Gaza, and Israeli officials announced they were targeting the central area.

WATCH: IDF Destroys Hamas Leaders’ Tunnels in Underground Detonation

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) revealed Friday that soldiers had found a “hideout” belonging to Gaza-based Hamas leader Yayha Sinwar, as well as a tunnel underneath the building that led to a large underground command center, which was later destroyed.

The Yahalom unit, which is a specialized unit of combat engineers that has expertise in finding and destroying tunnels, located Sinwar’s tunnel and the larger “headquarters” complex to which it was connected.

Yes. It's very satisfying.

The Heroic Story of Two Brothers Who Saved Dozens at the Supernova Festival

“We were in the process of packing up when I saw some of those who had left earlier come back with gunshot wounds. As a combat medic, I knew how to treat them. I immediately volunteered to help,” Daniel told JNS.

“We ran on the road, jumped from car to car, carefully avoiding the shooting. Then, we saw a tank which had drifted to the side of the road,” said Daniel.

Daniel and Neria entered the tank. They first tried to alert the army via the tank’s radio, but in vain. Eventually, Neria seized an M-16 rifle off a dead soldier, exited the tank and started shooting back at the terrorists together with another two soldiers onsite.

Prayers for his family and fellow military members.

It has to be tough to be a Christian in the IDF.

Amazing they had the fortitude to do what they did - true hero's who undoubtedly saved many lives and killed many terrorists.

IDF intensifies attacks on Hamas stronghold in Khan Yunis

Sirens sounded in Israeli communities near the Gaza border on Wednesday morning as Israeli forces intensified their attacks on the Hamas stronghold of Khan Yunis in the southern Strip.

The Israeli Air Force struck terror targets in the center of the city overnight Tuesday, and attacks were also carried out in the Bureij, Nuseirat and Maghazi camps as well as in Rafah, according to Palestinian sources.

During Givati Brigade operations in Khan Yunis in recent days, terrorists who participated in the Oct. 7 mass murder in southern Israel surrendered to Israel Defense Forces soldiers, the military said on Tuesday night.

So, That's Why Israel Is Pulling Back in Gaza

Is Israel making the right move? Their forces have been hell on wheels against Hamas’ forces—they can’t stop the IDF. They’ve split the Gaza Strip in two, slowly degrading the terror groups’ imprint in the region. Hamas is going to be eradicated from the face of the Earth. It’s not a question of if but when at this point. Israeli troops have begun flooding the terror tunnels; they’re knocking off Hamas’ top leadership throughout the region. Whether they be in Gaza City or Beirut, Israel will kill these people after they launched a genocidal terror attack on October 7.

Throw an anvil when your opponent is drowning, not a life vest. Instead, Israel is withdrawing some 7,000 troops. The reasons aren’t unordinary since wars are expensive. The mass deployment has been a strain on the Israeli economy, but the underlying concern is that the Biden administration has pushed for a reduced footprint in Gaza. They want a more targeted war, utilizing special forces groups to wipe out Hamas terrorists.

Israel probably wants to give as many warriors a little R&R before they go into Lebanon and repeat what they did in gaza, at least far enough in to create a good buffer zone.

Hamas military assets in north Gaza ‘completely dismantled’

Israeli forces have completed the destruction of Hamas’s military capabilities in the northern Gaza Strip, Israel Defense Forces Spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said in a press briefing on Saturday night, three months into Israel’s war with the terrorist group.

“We have completed the dismantling of Hamas’ frameworks in the north of the Gaza Strip, and we will continue to deepen the achievement and strengthen the barrier and the defense elements at the border,” Hagari said.

He added that the IDF is now “focusing on dismantling Hamas in the center of the Gaza Strip and in the south of the Gaza Strip.”

The article indicates that Israel has confiscated 70 million files that include information on hamas leadership... should aid in hunting them down...

9 IDF soldiers killed and 8 wounded in single day of fighting in Gaza

On Monday, nine IDF soldiers were killed and eight were wounded in three separate incidents during operations in Gaza.

Six of the deaths and most of the injuries resulted from an explosion while IDF soldiers were close to a Hamas rocket factory, the largest of its kind, discovered recently in al-Bureij in central Gaza.

To destroy terrorist infrastructure in Gaza, the soldiers were preparing to blow up the facility, and a truck was transporting explosives.

An error in timing or a technical problem could have led to the fatal explosion or the deaths could have resulted from a delayed explosive device placed there by Hamas terrorists.

IDF probe finds tank shelling caused blast that led to deaths of 6 combat engineers

The Israel Defense Forces on Tuesday released details of its initial probe of a deadly blast in the central Gaza Strip a day prior, in which six combat engineers were killed and several others were wounded.

The reservists were killed when explosives intended for demolishing a Hamas tunnel in Bureij detonated prematurely.

According to the IDF’s initial probe of the blast, the early explosion of the tunnel system was caused by a tank shelling.

I heard something bad happened with Amir's update yesterday but he wasn't at liberty with details, just asking for prayer, loss of life in the IDF. So that is what happened. SO sad. Praying for the families, for friends and for Israel and the Jews.

Gaza ‘close-quarters combat’ leaves dozens of militants dead: army

Israeli ground troops killed dozens of militants in “close-quarters combat” Thursday, the army said, as it intensified operations in Khan Yunis, south Gaza’s biggest city.

“In Khan Yunis, the Givati Brigade is now fighting in the southernmost area that (Israeli) ground troops have operated in so far,” the army said, referring to a unit that had been based in Gaza before Israel’s 2005 withdrawal.

Soldiers raided the “Martyr’s Outpost” of Hamas’s Khan Yunis brigade and the offices of its commanders, seizing a weapons cache including AK-47 assault rifles and rocket-propelled grenades, it added.

I'm thinking that hamas personnel must be running out of places to hide. I imagine thousands of them will end up being buried dead or alive in the tunnel system as Israel destroys the tunnels and the access ports to them.
