Hamas militant group has started a war that ‘Israel will win,’ defense minister says

Fierce battles as IDF troops close in on Gaza’s Shifa hospital, said to house Hamas HQ

Israel has presented evidence in recent weeks that Hamas’s main command center is located underneath Shifa and accused the terror group of using the hospital and its occupants — with 1,500 beds and some 4,000 staff — as human shields for the elaborate bunkers and tunnels beneath it.

Thousands of civilians had been sheltering in the Shifa compound in recent weeks, but many fled Friday as Israeli troops closed in and the IDF expanded access to safe evacuation routes to the south, where there are fewer airstrikes.

Asked about reports of troops firing into the Shifa courtyard, Lt. Col. (Res.) Peter Lerner, an Israeli military spokesman, would only say that troops were “in the midst of ongoing intense fighting against Hamas in the vicinity of the area in question.”

Palestinians report heavy fighting around Gaza’s Shifa Hospital, as IDF closes in

On Thursday the IDF said that the 162nd Division was operating in Hamas’s “military quarter” of Gaza City, clashing frequently with terror operatives.

According to Israel, the so-called military quarter, adjacent to Shifa Hospital, is “the heart” of Hamas’s intelligence and operational activities, and sites in the area were used to plan and prepare the October 7 onslaught in southern Israel that killed some 1,400 people and saw the abduction of some 240.

As the IDF presses its campaign into the heart of Hamas’s operation, growing numbers of people have been living in and around Shifa Hospital, Gaza’s largest, hoping it will be safer than their homes or United Nations shelters in the north.

IDF's Golani Brigade overpowers one of Hamas' strongest battalion: Eliminate 300 terrorists

The Golani Brigade, which suffered the loss of approximately 70 soldiers on October 7 terror attack, collaborated with armored forces from the 7th Armored Brigade to decisively defeat Hamas's Sabra Battalion; 'Most of the battalion's terrorists retreated or hid in a hospital' IDF officer says

The Sabra Battalion of the terror organization is considered one of the four strongest battalions in Gaza City. According to Golani Brigade data, its troops, together with forces from the 7th Armored Brigade, undoubtedly killed about 300 terrorists. And approximately 150 more are estimated to be under the rubble of buildings or in destroyed tunnels.

The combat, which included extensive operational and intelligence efforts by the IDF and the Shin Bet, was deliberate and methodical over some ten days. It took place in several neighborhoods in the western and southern parts of Gaza City, where the Sabra Battalion had spread after its commander, Mustafa Dalul, was eliminated. Commanders of the brigades were either killed or injured during the battles and Israel's air raids.

Hamas fires on civilians evacuating refugee camp

During the fighting in Gaza’s Shati refugee camp, Hamas terrorists fired on Palestinians trying to evacuate the camp along a path on Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces announced on Sunday morning. According to the IDF, soldiers returned fire, eliminating the terrorists.

In another encounter in the camp, soldiers eliminated a terror squad that posed a danger to Israeli forces by calling in an airstrike on a building where they had barricaded themselves. Also, a fighter jet attacked a munitions warehouse after an anti-tank missile was fired from it.

Yeah maybe these Palestinian demonstrators across the world should be informed of this although i doubt that they would listen

Israeli Forces Are Reportedly Getting Crucial Intelligence From an Unlikely Source

Israeli forces have cut the Gaza Strip in two, surrounded Gaza City, and are tightening the noose around the reported nerve center of Hamas. Before the ground invasion began on October 28, Israel pounded the strip with artillery and air strikes, killing scores of terrorists and their leaders. Many have hidden in the matrix of tunnels, which has been an operational concern for the IDF. They’re booby-trapped. It’s nearly impossible to see, and some tunnels are 250+ feet underground. So far, Israel has been able to make inroads, but some 30-40,000 Hamas terrorists remain embedded in the strip like ticks. They’ll be uprooted, especially now that re-supply from Iran is now impossible. It will take time.

Hamas’ grip has loosened enough that scores of civilians have been able to make to safety. Terrorists are still shooting at Gazans trying to flee south, but those who have made it to IDF lines have reportedly been providing valuable intelligence on the whereabouts of Hamas hideouts and weapons stashes. The IDF did a leaflet drop, promising financial compensation for any information on the whereabouts of the 200-plus civilians that were taken by Hamas on October 7. Most who replied didn’t want money, just safe passage out of the war zone.

Israeli navy discovers Hamas weapons hidden underwater

YALTAM, Israel Navy’s underwater unit, is recovering Hamas weapons and combat equipment off the coast of Gaza, an IDF spokesperson reported on Monday.

Searching Gaza’s shores, YALTAM located dozens of weapons, explosive belts, ammunition, and rudimentary explosives, all of which were safely defused by detonation.

The weapons are thought to have belonged to terrorists who attempted to invade Israel through the Mediterranean Sea and were killed during the many gun battles during and immediately after the October 7th invasion, including one abortive incursion with 10 Hamas casualties on Zikim beach.

Israel Captures Hamas ‘Governor’s Mansion’, Intel HQ; Smashes Terror Infrastructure

Soldiers from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continue to destroy Hamas and its command infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, seizing the “governor’s mansion,” which includes the terrorist organization’s military and intelligence headquarters.

In addition, the IDF also took over Hamas bases in the Shati “refugee” camp and moved closer to its goal of eliminating the group.

Israel had suffered fewer than 50 killed in action as of Tuesday, compared to thousands of Hamas terrorists.

I find no joy in the thought of thousands of terrorists now in Hell. But you cannot harm God's people without suffering the consequences. Israel may still be in rebellion against God, but it is God who will punish them should He so desire. And woe to anyone else who moves to do anything to them! In the meantime, Israel is still His people; and He will always protect them, turning all of their enemies back. God promised Abraham, and all His promises are yea and amen.

IDF to Hamas Terrorists Holed Up in Shifa Hospital: Surrender, or We’re Coming for You

GAZA ENVELOPE, Israel — The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a simple message Wednesday to Hamas terrorists holed up in Shifa Hospital: surrender.

Now, Israel is closing in on the hospital, where Hamas leaders are thought to be hiding — and where some of the 240 hostages seized by Hamas and other terrorist groups may be imprisoned. Though the Biden administration has been publicly skeptical of Israel’s intention to enter the hospital, the IDF is pressing ahead, and has prepared special battle plans for the sensitive site.

President Joe Biden said Tuesday that Shifa Hospital “must be protected, and that Israel should take “less intrusive action.” But National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan tried to walk back those comments — first saying that Israel “has to confront” the threat without “assaulting hospitals in firefights that could put innocent people who are getting lifesaving medical care in the crossfire.”

Any location used for military purposes loses any protected status that it might have enjoyed. Israel has gone above and beyond in trying to protect civilians and evacuate civilians from these hospitals. If the only thing left of all the hospitals, schools, and UN buildings in gaza is dust and rubble, no war crime will have been committed by Israel.

Many nations will conspire and try, but Israel can not be defeated. Wounded, yes, defeated, never.

Yes, directly in accordance with the Laws of Warfare and the Geneva convention.

Israeli Defense Minister: Hamas Leaders in Exile Are Dead Men Walking

JERUSALEM, Israel — Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant vowed Saturday night that all Hamas operatives would be killed — including those outside Gaza, sheltering in comfortable exile in Arab states like Qatar.

“There is no difference between a terrorist who walks around with a Kalashnikov … and a terrorist who wears a three-piece suit and walks around in another part of the world,” Gallant told a press conference, as the war entered its seventh week. “All of them are dead men walking.”

Gallant’s remarks hinted at the kinds of targeted killing that the Israeli security services carried out after previous terror attacks, such as the massacre of Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympics in Munich, Germany. Israel spent several years hunting down and killing everyone responsible for that attack.

Potential Ceasefire Slammed As a Way for Hamas to Buy Time

While members of the Israeli War Cabinet continue deliberations over whether to engage in a temporary, days long ceasefire with Hamas in exchange for dozens of hostages, the potential move to stop the assault on the Iranian backed terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip is being met with skepticism and opposition.

Bereaved families and survivors of Hamas's October 7 attack have issued a statement on Tuesday stating their opposition to a hostage deal that would include the release of terrorists in a prisoner exchange.

"We know and warn that any terrorist who is released now will return and cause harm in the future. In the Gilad Shalit deal, the perpetrators of the October 7 massacre were released, and there is no reason why the release of the terrorists should be any different this time."

If Israel continues to annihilate hamas any terrorists released will ether die or end up in prison again if Israel does what it has said it is going to do...

It'll be critical that Israel ensures hamas is not able to resupply during any ceasefire.

Israel Vows: The War Against Hamas Will Go On After Hostage Pause

Israeli leaders vowed Tuesday to continue fighting to destroy Hamas after a pause, which is part of a deal in which the terror group will free between 50 and 80 female and child hostages in exchange for a lull in the fighting.

I would like to reiterate: The war is continuing and the war will continue until we achieve all of our goals – Eliminating Hamas, returning all of our hostages and assuring that the day after Hamas, Gaza will no longer threaten Israel, that there will be no other element that supports terrorism, educates its children for terrorism and threatens the State of Israel. With G-d’s help, we will do it and we will succeed – and together we will win.

As a result of the decision taken about a month ago to intensify our ground operations, to enter [Gaza] and to increase the pressure on Hamas, there is now a chance to create a plan that will lead to the release of hostages. I view the release of hostages first and foremost as an issue related to values – a moral issue, an issue that points to the [unwritten] agreement between the State, the government and its citizens. All members of the cabinet, all the members of the IDF, ISA, and Mossad, everyone who is working on the issue of the hostages and missing persons – is dedicating all their time, soul and energy to this issue, day and night.

Israeli gov’t approves hostage deal with Hamas, here are the details

The measures approved by the cabinet include a four-day ceasefire with Hamas and Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip, which can be extended up to a maximum of ten days if additional captives are returned.

Hamas has indicated it can find an additional 30 women and children being held by other terrorist groups or by Gaza civilians.

For every ten additional captives returned, Israel has agreed to extend the ceasefire by one day, up to ten days total.

This just doesn't seem like a wise deal for Israel to me. Possible extension up to 10 days... Israel should have demanded that every hostage be released in exchange for 2 or 3 days, with no additional incentive.

I think this deal will inevitably allow hamas to enhance their current situation which will likely result in more Israeli deaths/injuries than their otherwise would have been. I personally tend to place a very high value on a country's warfighters...

Keep thinking of all the times in Israel's Old Testament history, when they never wiped out all their enemies when God told them to. Always came back to haunt them.

My thoughts are that Israel should eliminate every person involved with hamas and then work on expelling the population to any place they can find that will take them... then annex the land into Israel to whom it belongs.
