Considering 2024 - Is The World Ripe For Rapture?

I tend to agree with you.
I don't think scripture addresses eating in Heaven.
When Jesus told his disciples at the last Supper that he would not eat with them again until they would be together in His Father's Kingdom, I believe He was referring to the Millennial Kingdom.

I think Jesus will partake of food and drink at the Marriage Supper of The Lamb, so it would be in Heaven :)

Sometimes when I'm up in the Mountains it seems all is well and all is as it should be.

But then back in the city, the world is becoming crazier and crazier. How much longer can the Lord allow it to go on? And you look at the church, faithful remnant battling a wing that seems like it's apostate.

Maranatha! God Bless All :)

I wonder if this is just in Scotland?
Seems like everyone here is high on life because of Trump.
I don’t know, here in America seems like everyone is ready for the good times to roll again. Maybe it’s just my perception of others

I feel the insanity here, too. Maybe it's just me, but as much as I hope for good times, I feel like I am waiting for the other shoe to drop. And the crazies haven't gone away just because common sense just narrowly won an election.

From all the vids i see of people that react to the left and even most evangelical pastors i get the same impression as you.

Here, there's a lot of gloom-and-doom about President Trump because Minnesota's deep, dark blue, and the Twin Cities metro is the deepest, darkest blue.

I did brighten someone's day today, who was bemoaning the sudden huge spike in food prices, and didn't realize President Trump doesn't take office until late January, by reminding her that since Governor Walz lost and was still Governor of Minnesota, he could still do something in Minnesota. They're working on some stuff right now that I couldn't share with her and can't post (yet).

Hello! I am glad Trump defeated Harris and hope you get some good things from the new administration. The bible says that terrible times will come in the last days, that's what I'm seeing all around, makes me believe the rapture is soon. One example, the number of people going around crazed on illegal drugs seems to be always increasing so much that it's normalized now to see someone out of their mind. I'm guessing this is the same in almost every city globally? God Bless All :)

I am assuming these are the things you are seeing in your country?

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof…

2 Timothy 3:2-5

But..........will it be a feast of food and wine? Or, will it be a feast of knowledge and full understanding?
Perhaps it will be a communion service with only bread and wine, as He noted in the upper room that night? Guess we will find out when we get there.

Jesus turned water into wine for His first miracle. There are, of course, meanings and symbolism for the new wine being better than the old... but I'm pretty certain that jewish wedding was an absolute bash after that particular miracle. It's going to be a party!

Hello Amethyst. Yes, society breakdown, family breakdown, persecution of believers by people inside and outside the church. It's all here. One example, false accusers and fierce, there's an older couple in my church who were put out of their last denomination because that denomination accepted SSM and they couldn't. They said the attitude of the leadership towards them became very hostile very quickly and began to turn to false allegations to get them out. God Bless :)

Since the election I've wondered if President Trump would have the EXTREME audacity to sponsor Israel to proceed with building the 3rd Temple? There are so many things awaiting the world after he is sworn into the Presidency from a US and world perspective, and we are sitting on a front row seat for them to play out. That is wonderful and that is frightening.

@lismore, that whole division over SSM's is unscriptural. It exists only because of the long established view in the UK of there being a state-established church. Thankfully that view was firmly rejected by the founders of America. In fact, freedom of religion is one of the founding tenets of this nation.

The opinion against self-supporting ministers harkens back to those days of a state church. Those who ministered outside the state ordination and support system were breaking the law of the land. The state paid its ministers; therefore if the state did not pay the minister he was a criminal. Many so-called non-conformists served hefty prison sentences for serving God without permission of the state. John Donne, John Bunyan, Richard Baker, Richard Baxter, Samuel Rutherford, Daniel Defoe, Alexander Cruden, and John and Katherine Evans were among the many who were severely punished by the state and the state church for being non-conformists or dissenters, preaching the gospel while supporting themselves outside of the state's official church. How dare they violate state control? And it is that attitude of state control that actually persists even to this day and subtly underlies the current debate over SSMs.

The fact is no state, no denomination, no man calls a person into the ministry. Only God does that. No human organization truly ordains a man as a minister of the gospel. Man's ordination is for man's purposes. There is only one true ordination, and that is of God. God doesn't give two whits for man's ordination: those whom He calls, He equips and supports. A human being called by God needs nothing more and nothing other than that.

The entire debate over SSMs is of Satan. And, typical of that old devil, he uses his creation to divide. So sad.
