We all have read articles on what others think might happen immediately after the church is called Home.

What are your thoughts on the immediate aftermath of the rapture?

I would imagine a lot of confusion in the minds of the left behind, at least those who are in a position to witness the real time disappearance of one or more. It's hard for the mind to grasp the supernatural... takes time to process that. There will probably be lots of industrial, vehicular, and aircraft accidents resulting in significant destruction and deaths of those left behind.

A pretty good portion of the US population, and other nation's populations probably won't know anything happened until they hear about it on the radio or tv or the internet.

Some will understand that Believers were Raptured and may or may not accept Christ into their lives. A lot of unbelievers who identify as Christians will be clueless because they will never have been taught proper, if any, eschatology.

If a sovereign global govmint has been established prior to the Rapture, it won't take too long before a statement is made about the disappearance of so many. If the global govmint hasn't advanced that far along yet, There will probably be conflicting official statements given across the globe, though those leaders who are plugged in to the OWG will all give the "official" explanation.

Quicker than one might imagine, many of those left behind will begin a looting spree like the world has never seen before. It'll grow into much violence as hearts harden even more than they'd already been. It'll take martial law in individual nations or the entire world to bring things under a semblance of control... but the world will remain a more dangerous place than it's ever been before.

If Bibles and Bible commentary haven't already been banned, that will likely follow quickly. The internet will likely be purged of any sites that promote the One True God. Bible apps will be deleted from devices by a central authority and if anyone is caught with a hard copy Bible it will like be considered a serious criminal offense.

Then, maybe... some calm before the storm.

Thats a big if, and as you know, I dont believe the OWG will be stood up prior to the church be called home. However, it is a possibility.

Once we depart, global chaos will ensure, causing a need for global leadership.

I don't see it quite the same way. Given the order of some things presented in the book of Daniel, it's as likely as any other scenario, Biblically speaking. I try to go by what information the Bible gives us and not by what my pea brain thinks is most likely.

Spiritually, I think some dark, oppressive feeling of evil will hit because nothing to restrain the demons. I have felt this before and I think it'll be a whole lot worse. Some people will embrace this because they'll feel so much closer to the devil and his demons
As soon as the cc and bank fraud starts (immediately due to the wallets laying around), the banks and cc companies will shut down the processing/payments system.
People will panic when people simply disappear or rise in front of them.
More panic when people find out their plastic doesn't work, and more panic when they find the banks shut down. Store will be able to operate cash-only, but may have to shut down due to panic, wholesale stripping of shelves by panicking mobs, etc.

I personally think the AC will suffer his fatal head wound at this time, three days later the counterfeit resurrection, and people will follow . . .

The UFO/alien abduction/advanced beings explanation will be put forward by TPTB

Car crashes, etc. are only a tiny part of what will happen immediately after the
The people, who are lucky enough to recognize immediately what has happened and come to saving faith immediately, are hopefully numbered among the crash, etc. victims, so they're spared the tribulation . . .

I agree. I've known that oppressive feeling when in war zones and in the middle of riots in 3rd world countries. I've felt it when a 3rd world country I was in was on the brink of war. I also felt it in D.C. when Clinton and his people moved into D.C. after he got elected. I lived in D.C. at the time and you could feel the change in the air.

I believe the bible points us in the direction of the OWG and the Holy Spirit can not coexist. How many times throughout biblical history has man tried to form a OWG, yet failed. Now, it appears man is closer than ever before, so maybe, that means the rapture is even closer.

Do you really believe all countries, especially the so called “super powers” would willingly give up their sovereignty without a fight, or without a global catastrophe that would follow the rapture? The rapture aftermath would cause a need for a OWG. For now, there is only a desire by some for a OWG.

The most detailed information on the end times OWG is found in the middle of the book of revelation, that alone is a strong clue as to the timing.

I agree. I've known that oppressive feeling when in war zones and in the middle of riots in 3rd world countries. I've felt it when a 3rd world country I was in was on the brink of war. I also felt it in D.C. when Clinton and his people moved into D.C. after he got elected. I lived in D.C. at the time and you could feel the change in the air.

Areas with virtually absent Christian and/or Jewish presence. Not just 3rd or 4th World anymore.
Cemeteries, late night after some funerals. (yes, I did foot and vehicle patrol in the cemeteries in jurisdictions where I worked, especially late night, and they were also peaceful places to take a break after a particularly intense call).

When I met Clinton, we shook hands and it was like an electric shock. I could sense the evil, but I didn't feel it. I think The Holy Ghost was protecting me from feeling it, and I think evil encountering The Holy Ghost made it and Clinton back off immediately and virulently. Hillary wouldn't even approach me, and everyone in the area kind of noticed The next time we had to be in proximity, as soon as (Bill) Clinton saw me, he was almost running while his protection detail scrambled. Funny, I was part of the detail and we had to go where he was going/going to go, so evil was not happy that day Same/similar things occurred when meeting/encountering/protecting some other PTB.

Bet there's a giant gust of upward, departing wind as The Holy Ghost departs. Probably sounding like a tornado, derecho, hurricane, etc.

Maybe the leaves, needles, pine cones, fruit, etc. will get blown or sucked off of the trees and bushes
Maybe outdoor furniture and line-hung laundry will get blown away.
What goes up, must come down, so what a mess!
If it's precipitating, a very slick, accident-causing mess

Wonder if as soon as The Holy Ghost is gone, the demons will have no fear or anyone stopping them and will boldly show themselves Wonder how many UFOs will suddenly appear This would all lead credence to a UFO/alien/advanced race explanation of "The Great Disappearance"

All those graves opening at the same time is going to create an earthquake with a huge rumble and/or roar. Wonder if there will be liquifaction that prevents identification of which graves are empty and which are not? OTOH, empty graves of Christians and occupied graves of non-Christians would be an awesome witness.

A friend of mine and I were discussing something like this just last week. I don't think that the Rapture will cause planes falling to the ground and cars crashing and such as the Left Behind series portrays. Why? I just think that the Rapture will be such a glorious event that it won't be marred by us leaving causing deaths to many. So here is what we came up with.

Some country or countries cause and EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse) that basically stops everything. Right after that or possibly at the same time we are Raptured. Between the EMP and the Rapture you can imagine what a mess there will be. This is when someone with great power (The Antichrist) takes control explaining both the need for a One World Government and that Aliens have caused both the EMP and the missing people and children. He states that he is working with the Aliens to make peace, correct all the issues the world is having and bring the children back.

Are we correct? I doubt it, but it makes an interesting theory.

I think it'll be the same as what happened when Jesus died on the cross.
I think the actual graves were physically opened. In part because tombs at that time were often holes, caves, etc., which were blocked/closed with rocks (remember the stone in front of The Tomb), and the the earthquake and rocks being torn/split/broken when Jesus died, and OT saints leaving their grave after Jesus' resurrection, as recorded in The Gospel narratives.

I think Josephus provides third-party corroboration and additional details of the events surrounding the crucifixion. Need to find a free pdf online so I can reference what he wrote about this and be sure.

50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

I expect unprecedented chaos
While the wicked celebrate the disappearance of the only thing that came between them and "freedom" to be "themselves" and be "All Inclusive " without restraint

I personally think that it might not even be noticed by a lot of people still on earth. The Restrainer is restraining. When we, the indwelt, are removed, and the Holy Spirit with us, I think that everything is going to happen like a dam bursting millions of gallons on an unsuspecting town below. How many things are being propped up right now and being prevented because the Holy Spirit isn't allowing it to happen? Stock market crash? Nuclear War? It amazes me that some things haven't happened yet. Scarcity, war, plagues: all of these are prophesied as happening after the church age. If it happens quickly enough, will people really notice a few people from their communities disappearing? Because I honestly don't think that there are that many actually saved among so-called professing Christians.

I agree that there will be a sense of despair after we're gone. People will become more savage and will embrace the evil that will be prevalent.

I agree that there will be a sense of despair after we're gone. People will become more savage and will embrace the evil that will be prevalent.

I would agree that for some countries, with a very low percentage of Christians, it might not that big of a news story. However, if Children are taken away in the rapture, it will effect all countries equally, it will be huge.

I do agree it will be like a damn bursting after we are removed. No one knows how long after the rapture until the tribulation starts. If it starts shortly after the rapture, and judgements start right away, there wont even be time to grieve.

As for the precentage of confessing Christians who are actually saved…only He knows. Me personally, I believe its much higher percentage than most believe because we as a Body of Christ, tend to judge ones salvation based on our observations, and their actions.

For the church, the rapture itself would and will be a glorious event. One second after the rapture, not so glorious for those left behind. But all thanks and praise to God, even they will still have a chance to be saved, even after missing the glorious event.
