1 Second After The Rapture

I think it'll be the same as what happened when Jesus died on the cross.
I think the actual graves were physically opened. In part because tombs at that time were often holes, caves, etc., which were blocked/closed with rocks (remember the stone in front of The Tomb), and the the earthquake and rocks being torn/split/broken when Jesus died, and OT saints leaving their grave after Jesus' resurrection, as recorded in The Gospel narratives.

I think Josephus provides third-party corroboration and additional details of the events surrounding the crucifixion. Need to find a free pdf online so I can reference what he wrote about this and be sure.

50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
Matthew 27:50-54, KJV

My favorite verse, so had to include and bold it :)
Can't wait to meet the Centurion, salute him, and thank him for doing his duty :)

The graves were definitely open in Matthew 27, and if your right, the same will happen at the rapture. I cant remember if it was from a book, or a movie I watched, but a non believer did not believe in the rapture, and when it happened, the first thing she did was go to her Christian grandmas grave, and dig it open, finding it empty.

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”
‭‭I Thessalonians‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I often wonder what it will be like, one second after the rapture, in my new and Glorified body. No physical ailments and no pain. I also wonder if we will for eternity remain our age at the rapture, or we will all revert back to a younger age, such as the age of Jesus, 33?
I read one end times teacher who believes we remain the same age, and that babies in heaven will be raised to whatever age is required. Im not sure I believe that, but who knows, and there is only one way to find out for sure….going up!

From a source I dont often use, but the below is a good read about time in Heaven:

“Benjamin Franklin reminded us that time is “the stuff life is made of.” Our earthly existence is marked by time. We “waste” it and “spend” it and “save” it; we have “time on our hands,” or we “make up for lost time”; we speak of those who have “all the time in the world,” while others are “running out of time”; and, then, “when our time is up,” we exit this world. What about in heaven? Will we still experience time as we do now? The short answer is we really don’t know.

First, let’s be clear that, when we say “heaven,” we are referring to the dwelling place of God. Revelation 21:3–4 says, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” The chapter goes on to describe the New Jerusalem, where believers will dwell for eternity.

Some argue that we will not experience time in heaven because we are told, “The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp” (Revelation 21:23; see also Revelation 22:5). If the cycle of day and night is done away with, perhaps that signals the end of time—or at least our measurement of time. Also, we know that God exists apart from time (2 Peter 3:8), so perhaps those dwelling with Him will also be outside of time”.

For the church, the rapture itself would and will be a glorious event. One second after the rapture, not so glorious for those left behind. But all thanks and praise to God, even they will still have a chance to be saved, even after missing the glorious event.
In some ways, those saved as a result of witnessing the Rapture (and other future events), are like Thomas, who said he would not believe until he saw and felt Jesus' wounds

19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
John 20:19-29, KJV

Yes, I believe the great harvest the bible mentions during the tribulation will be shortly after the rapture.

What are anyones thoughts on how long after the rapture until the tribulation starts? My speculation is less than a year.
I think immediately/concurrently or in three days.
I think the first sacrifice in the Third Temple, signing of the covenant, and fatal head wound/counterfeit resurrection happen at or concurrent with the Rapture. My speculation is that we can't be here when the sacrifices are resumed in The Temple because the last seven years is God dealing with Israel and sinful mankind that rejected Jesus as Messiah, and the church is absent.

Although I've long thought that AC will be assassinated at the same time as the Rapture happens, I wonder if maybe something happens during the Rapture that causes his fatal head wound. Could be something as mundane as a falling brick, piece of glass, etc. from earthly consequences of the Rapture, a flying rock from an opening grave, etc. Or a flying shard from a terrorist's bomb, etc., etc., etc. I don't think satan can resurrect the AC while the Restrainer's here, and I don't think the AC will suffer his head wound while the church is still here, as that would tend to reveal him. So the earliest for the wound would be at the same time as the Rapture, and the earliest for the counterfeit resurrection is three days later. Perhaps it's the counterfeit resurrection that causes countries to sign onto the covenant. OTOH, it may be that the Rapture happens at the moment the treaty is signed by a bunch of countries and the AC is assassinated because of it (and then the counterfeit resurrection three days later).

A resurrected man could claim to have had all sorts of things revealed to him while he was dead, to include information from aliens/advanced beings, so he would have gravitas concerning "fixing" the world's problems, including how to restart the banking, credit, and commerce system to eliminate/prevent fraud (require a mark associated with a unique ID for each person that would be linked to a financial portfolio (cc, bank account, etc.), without which no transactions could be made with the cc, ID, etc. in-hand, peace treaty with Israel (no one wants to fight the little country, who just defeated a much bigger, stronger, etc. enemy/coalition, even without considering God intervening and defending Israel), etc.

Revelation 13 describes the beast rising from the sea, and the mortal wound, both of which happen at the mid tribulation point. The AC wont claim he is god until the middle of the tribulation.

One second after the rapture, blood-curdling screams will be heard. People are going to disappear right in front of whom ever is around them, and it’s going to be terrifying. Then people will be running out into the streets, desperately feeling the need to connect with anyone who had the same experience. Many will show their phones to each other, to see the photos they happened to be taking of the person right before they touched the shutter button, or videos that might show a blinding flash of light. Complete pandemonium will ensue as panicked people hear reports (or witness in person) planes falling out of the sky, massive car pileups, etc. Then shock and horror will set in as people realize that there are many, many, many children gone. The world will suddenly feel very dark, sad and hopeless. Infrastructure and systems will almost grind to a stop in many areas because of all of the wreckage, missing people and chaos. The economy will immediately and irreparably tank.

There are Christians in every corner of the world, and where we don’t think there are any, there are many secret Christians. They are going to disappear, and people are going to witness it. It is going to be like a nightmare people can’t wake up from.

How many besides me stress over the rapture happening, and your pets are locked inside the house, feeling abandoned?

Or, do some of you believe pets are going with us?I
We just got two kittens this year, after losing our two dear precious old cats. We call them the rapture kitties because we realize they are the ones we almost for sure will be leaving behind. It feels strange.
I feel sad about all of the pets. I don’t believe they are going with us. I know that any remaining family of mine would take my cats. But I figure it will be the tribulation period soon anyway, so the cats will be Ok until…they’re not.

I don't worry about it anymore. Regardless of what happens to my dog and (hopefully soon) kittens/cats, I'll see them again someday.
I don't think our pets will come with us in the Rapture.
In the meantime, my dog will be valuable to whoever ends up with her. Watch dog, or worst case, food. I just hope that whoever gets her treats her well and if she has to be killed, does it quickly and humanely. If we're out for a walk or ride, she'll run wild and likely cause more accident(s) or cause other mayhem. If we're home when the Rapture happens, the family friend, who isn't saved  gets along with the dog, and has a key. Hopefully, she grabs a Bible . . . she's very woke and very non-receptive to The Gospel from Dad and me. Most likely because of politics. She'd likely be more receptive to someone from the apostate, "affirming" ELCA, etc. witnessing to her, especially if he or she had a Biden or rainbow bumper sticker [sigh] Regardless of what I think of that denomination, at least some of their churches are still preaching and teaching The Gospel, with positive results.

I trust that the God who created my cat and gave him to me is capable of taking care of him when I go to be with the Lord in the air. Whatever He chooses to do will be right and good, and by that time, I will be seeing what is happening from a heavenly perspective. Not going to stress about it at all.
