Question about Trump 'blessing' Israel

The passage says when they shall say peace and security, then sudden destruction is using it as a contrast - it is a condition of the times just before the Rapture but it doesn't actually trigger it. That trigger is related to a number that God knows as in Rom 11.

I absolutely agree with you about the trigger. There is nothing man can do that will trigger the Rapture. As you correctly state, it will occur only when God's number is met. The thing I wanted to comment on, however, is your statement that "peace and safety is a condition of the times just before the Rapture." Have you ever thought of tying the "peace and safety" of 1 Thessalonians 5:3 to Ezekiel 38:11, which would make it after the Rapture and leading up to the midpoint of the GT. It's just a thought I have been poking around at.

It s great to hear that coming from them. I hope it catches fire. Trump seems to be riding the coattails of irony. We may feel that the Deal of the Century was dividing Israel. It had statements to that effect. But it would seem to be stated that way for being on paper. I don't think Israel took that seriously. Because they knew it wouldn't stick. It was likely said to gain leverage on other things. On paper, Trump divides Israel. In fact, he jockeys for their peace.

I believe "peace and security" has to do with Israel who will be staying for the tribulation. No new wars in Trump's previous admin. In light of this, we could say, the writing is on the wall. Blessings.

No I hadn't tied those together. NOW I'm off on THAT rabbit trail, which totally meshes with my current hyperfocus on Ezekiel ch 25-35 (with a nod to my usual obsession over ch 36&37 plus 38&39)

I think it sounds reasonable as well. It makes sense that peace and safety and the Ezekiel 38 Israel with unwalled villages could be one and the same. I have a question.
Some say that Ezekiel 38 could begin in the gap period between the rapture and the beginning of the Tribulation and ends with the opening of the first seal with the AC coming along "on his white horse", and brings peace and safety and "sudden destruction" follows with all of the judgements.
Do you see this as a possibility?
