Question about the Dragon with seven heads and tens horns

1LoverofGod

Well-known
My question comes from Revelation 17:8-12.
I'm trying to wrap my head around this because I can't coroltate this passage with the Daniel 7;7 passage of the beast with tens horns because Daniel doesn't mention anything about seven heads.

The seven heads signify the seven hills or mountains that the harlot sits on according to verse 9.

My understanding is that the harlot represents the religious system that is led by the False Prophet.
So how do the seven mountains fit in with The beast with tens horns?

How are these "seven kings" which five fall from and the eighth king that rises would be The Beast the Antichrist different than the ten horned beast or "ten kings", of Daniel 7:7 from which 3 fall and the little horn rises from among them?

Why does Revelation 17 differ from Daniel 7 when they are basically the same?

The difference I see is that this beast is referred as a dragon with seven heads but seems to be referring to the same beast described in Daniel 7.

Will there be only 7 kings for a time before they become a ten king kingdom?

I'm so confused 😳

8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

9 “Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. 10 There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time. 11 The beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going to perdition.

12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.

“After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns."
Daniel 7:7

Okay. This just came to me.

According to Daniel 7:7
There are ten horns, representing ten kings.

Three of the ten will fall, or subdued, that leaves seven, the little horn then rises up and this is where he becomes the eighth king.

So in this seven head beast, I would think is the kings left over after the three have fallen from the ten kings and this brings in the eighth king, the Antichrist.

So, then the reason Revelation 17:11 refers to the eighth king, is because this is after the three mentioned in Daniel 7:7 have been subdued and the eighth king is that little horn that is given power to rule.

Thoughts?
I'm a dunce 😆

I am not a prophecy person, but the number seven causes me to think about Rome’s seven hills. :noidea:
I've heard the same.
I just couldn't connect the seven heads with the same beast of Daniel 7:7 until I figured it must be the seven kings left after the three are subdued and the little horn king rises up out of the ten king kingdom.

I suppose that the dragon is representative of Satan controlling the beast kingdom.
Maybe the 7 hills or mountains represent the revived Roman Empire? Since Rome sits on 7 hills?
