Mystery NJ drones are coming from Iranian mothership offshore, congressman suggests: ‘Should be shot down’

A New Jersey congressman claimed Wednesday that the mystery drones over the Garden State are from Iran, and they’re being launched by a mothership parked off the East Coast.

Rep. Jeff Van Drew, a Republican, said the drones “very possibly could be” from Iran, citing confidential sources during an appearance on Fox News Wednesday morning.

“I’m going to tell you the real deal. Iran launched a mothership that contains these drones,” Van Drew said. “It’s off the East Coast of the United States of America. They’ve launched drones.”

I've seen drones overhead here in my city for some time, and in speaking with neighbors, some have also seen the drones.
I have taken it as possible surveillance drones being used by Law enforcement. I mean if they have cameras installed everywhere and video cams in most businesses, and even here in my apartment complex, for surveillance purposes, why wouldn't they also have drones watching us?
I'm not bothered by the drones but it would be nice if whoever is using them to just be upfront about it and not have people freaking out with wondering over what they are, and who has them up there, and why.
They've had them overhead here for a long time. I only saw/see them at night, so no size reference. Large enough to have power/fuel to last all night. They act if mapping, surveilling certain places, and/or following/part of pursuits and response to outdoor incidents. I assume they're law enforcement and related GIS/mapping. Also, potentially some are military going to/from wherever, and medical ferrying transplant organs, etc. Some looked like they were being used for mosquito control efforts during spring and summer, too (hovering over wetlands, swamps, ponds, and some lakes, dropping the stuff they use in specific areas).

 If it's the aliens, they're messing with us all. I loved that bit in Independence Day where Los Angeles residents are urged NOT to try and shoot at the alien mothership hovering over the city. That is of COURSE the immediate RIGHT SENSIBLE thing to do. Shoot the little green men, make 'em think twice about stopping by to say HI! 👽🥏

Hold up my crucifix, point my T shirt, and wave a Bible? If it's aliens demons, they'll flee!
If a whole block or community rebukes them in The Name of Jesus, it could be free of the pesky things in no time, and for a long time :big grin;
Have to establish a roster of Watchmen/women to watch and rebuke anything that comes toward the block/community to keep it pest-free . . .
Or just ask God to do it :)

It’s 3:45 AM here in Montana, and I am now going to bed after sorting laundry mounds and putting lights up on our Christmas tree.

Notice how deafeningly silent Trump and even Elon have been on this topic. Elon would Certainly have opinions on this.

Funny how the media isn’t even curious about Trump and Elon being mum on this topic.

Correct me if I am wrong. I haven’t heard anything about them commenting.

They are probably “in the know”

It may be a big nothing burger. But if that's the case, there shouldn't be a problem letting the citizenry know who owns the things and what their purpose is while they're flying around.

Unidentified drones sighted over U.S. air base in Germany, Spiegel reports
BERLIN (Reuters) -Unidentified drones have been sighted over sensitive industry locations and the U.S. air base at Ramstein in Germany in recent weeks, the Spiegel news magazine reported on Friday, citing a confidential report by German security authorities.

The report flagged numerous drone sightings made in the evening hours of Dec. 3 and 4 over the air base, according to Spiegel.

A security source told Reuters the report on drone sightings over Ramstein was correct. The German defence ministry declined to comment on the report.

German intelligence chiefs have warned that the country's support for Ukraine in its war with Russia makes it a target of possible sabotage attempts, with recent security incidents at military barracks raising alarm further.

Spiegel also reported unexplained drone sightings over locations belonging to German arms manufacturer Rheinmetall and chemicals group BASF.

Drone mystery: New Jersey homeowners threaten to take matters into their own hands if government doesn't act

New Jersey residents frustrated with a lack of answers regarding dozens of potential drone sightings in the skies above their homes are threatening to take action on their own if the government doesn't start providing answers.

James Ward, a Jersey Shore realtor, shared video on Facebook that he said showed "SUV-size drones" above Island Beach State Park taken Sunday. It's difficult to judge their size in the clip, which showed a number of lights hovering in the sky.

"Dozens of SUV-size drones in all directions," the caption read. "Emerging at same time and flying over the ocean and then heading in different directions – what do you think?"

"A good shotgun will fix that problem," one commenter replied.
"Why hasn't anyone shot one down to look for a serial number to trace it back to the operator?" another wrote. "I would think that could provide a clue."
"Semi auto 3 inch magnum 00 buck full choke!" yet another replied.

Homeland Security shares new details of mysterious drone flights over New Jersey

In a post on the social media platform X, Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia described the drones as up to 6 feet in diameter and sometimes traveling with their lights switched off. The Morris County Republican was among several state and local lawmakers who met with state police and Homeland Security officials to discuss the spate of sightings that range from the New York City area through New Jersey and westward into parts of Pennsylvania, including over Philadelphia.

The devices do not appear to be being flown by hobbyists, Fantasia wrote.

Dozens of mysterious nighttime flights started last month and have raised growing concern among residents and officials. Part of the worry stems from the flying objects initially being spotted near the Picatinny Arsenal, a U.S. military research and manufacturing facility; and over President-elect Donald Trump’s golf course in Bedminster. Drones are legal in New Jersey for recreational and commercial use, but they are subject to local and Federal Aviation Administration regulations and flight restrictions. Operators must be FAA certified.

Most, but not all, of the drones spotted in New Jersey were larger than those typically used by hobbyists.

White House Caught in Dronegate Cover-Up? — White House Spokesman Kirby Denies Drone Incursions Despite NJ Military Base Confirming 11 Breaches

Biden’s White House is downplaying reports of unauthorized drone activity over military installations in New Jersey. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby categorically denied any confirmed incursions, dismissing over 3,000 reports of “car-sized drones” as mistaken sightings of helicopters or airplanes.

Kirby’s assurances, however, directly contradict statements from military officials at New Jersey’s Picatinny Arsenal and Naval Weapons Station Earle, both of which have confirmed unauthorized drone breaches in recent weeks.

During a press briefing on Thursday, Kirby claimed:

“We have no evidence at this time that the reported drone sightings pose a national security or a public safety threat, or have a foreign nexus.........

Yet, in stark contrast, Picatinny Arsenal has confirmed at least 11 drone incursions, and Naval Weapons Station Earle reported two separate incidents of drones entering their airspace, according to NJ.com.

In my opinion this is our military doing a classified training exercise. There are numerous scenarios where a training exercise such as this would be good planning for.
I'd like your military to do classified training exercises right over Trudeau's head. Give Canada a needed break until we can get rid of him. At the very least it would keep him busy.

This seems the most reasonable explanation, and I wish the news would shut up hyper focusing on it.
Something I always think about is, what are they pulling our focus away from, towards the shiny bright "ufo" in the corner? What are they hoping to distract our attention from?

I'm next level tin foil hat like that

There's just a lot of smoke and mirrors with media lately. I get suspicious when the magician aims my attention in one area and I start looking all around to see what he's hiding.

Maybe it's a UFO convention coming to visit (we REALLY need a "YOU'RE NOT WELCOME" mat for those),

- or a secret govt project (seems a little too open for a secret though)

- or maybe it's a training exercise, pushed out just when the attention was getting too focused on you name it; Syria, Ukraine, Lebanon, the economy, or Biden's last moments of power before he totters off the world stage and Obama is forced to use other operatives in the bureaucracy.

I tend to think they're cooking up something unpleasant for Trump to deal with as he takes office.

I saw two Canadian political bumper stickers on cars today :)

They weren't pro-Trudeau
Yes, I can only imagine. The ones around me are quite creative, rudely funny and not complimentary at all!
