Later, figures such as Franz Rosenzweig, Reinhold Niebuhr, and James Parkes expanded on the idea, suggesting that the divine plan encompassed a multi-faceted approach: one that recognized the legitimacy of the Jewish path to God while affirming Christ’s unique role in the salvation of Gentiles.
