Israel's War with Hezbollah

Joe Biden and Emmanuel Macron in a joint statement with the support of numerous heads of state: "Call for an immediate 21-day ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah." The two presidents released a statement saying: "The situation between Lebanon and Israel since October 8 has become unbearable."

In addition to the US and France, 9 other countries and the European Union have signed the statement. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is on his way to the UN General Assembly while the two presidents released the statement. A senior White House official said they would work to reach an agreement along the border between Israel and Lebanon.

Agreeing to a ceasefire with Lebanon and Hezbollah now is a fatal mistake from Israel's point of view.

U.S., EU and nine other nations call for 21-day cease-fire on Israel-Lebanon border
WASHINGTON — A day after President Joe Biden told the United Nations General Assembly that he did not want to see a “full-scale war” in the Middle East, the U.S. and a group of nine other nations plus the European Union called for a 21-day cease-fire across the Lebanon-Israel border.

"It is time to conclude a diplomatic settlement that enables civilians on both sides of the border to return to their homes in safety," they said in a joint statement on Wednesday night. "Diplomacy however cannot succeed amid an escalation of this conflict."

Israeli airstrikes on Hezbollah in Lebanon have killed at least 72 people, according to a Reuters compilation of Lebanese health ministry statements. For almost a year, the Iran-backed militant group has intensified firing of rockets into northern Israel. Tensions on that border have increased since the October 7 attack by Hamas on Israel that killed 1,200 people.

A U.S. official told reporters that the involved parties would need to agree to the temporary cease-fire but said that they were familiar with the text and would respond in coming hours. The U.S. said it had been speaking directly to the Lebanese government and inferred that its government would work to negotiate the terms of an agreement with Hezbollah.

The report about a ceasefire in between Hezbollah, Israel is incorrect, PM's office says

SEPTEMBER 26, 2024 12:06
"The report about a ceasefire is incorrect. It refers to an American-French proposal, which the Prime Minister has not even responded to," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said in a statement Thursday morning.

The report about an alleged directive to scale down fighting in the north is also not true, the statement said.

Now it's unbearable???

How unbearable is the situation in Israel for the last year?
How about some respect and compassion with them?

Surely thou wilt slay‭‭ the wicked‭, O God‭: depart‭‭ from me therefore, ye bloody‭ men‭.‭
‭For they speak‭‭ against thee wickedly‭, ‭and‭ thine enemies‭ take‭‭ ‭thy name‭ in vain‭.‭
‭Do not I hate‭‭ them, O LORD‭, that hate‭‭ thee? and am not I grieved‭‭ with those that rise up‭ against thee?

(Ps. 139)

Frustration and anger in Israel this morning.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly given a green light for a temporary ceasefire with Hezbollah for the duration of US-led negotiations.

Hezbollah knows how to play this game, and the negotiations could drag on for months.
Meanwhile, northern Israel remains uninhabitable under an ongoing terrorist threat.

Netanyahu promised that negotiations would only take place under fire, and that the war would only conclude when it was finally safe for the residents of the north to return home.

The people of Israel are looking to the prime minister to keep his word.

A U.S.-led international community statement on situation between Israel and Lebanon, that does not even mention Hezbollah, which instigated the whole situation!

What a joke!

So the war is with Hezbollah, but the ceasefire agreement is supposed to be signed with the state of Lebanon…

The U.S. administration really doesn’t get it, do they?

Prime Minister's Office:

The news about a ceasefire is incorrect. This is an American-French proposal, to which the Prime Minister did not even respond.

The news about the supposed directive to moderate the fighting in the north is also the opposite of the truth. The Prime Minister instructed the IDF to continue the fighting with full force, and according to the plans presented to him.

Also, the fighting in Gaza will continue until all the goals of the war are achieved.

Member of PM's entourage: 'Ceasefire not being discussed, we will continue to attack'

A member of Prime Minister Netanyahu's entourage says there is no chance for a ceasefire. 'We committed and we will remain committed to returning the residents of the north to their homes.'

Israel Takes Out Hezbollah Headquarters

The Israel Defense Force has reportedly assessed that Hezbollah Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah was Eliminated by tonight’s Strike on Hezbollah’s Command Bunker in Southern Beirut.

Thick Clouds of Smoke cover the Dahieh Neighborhood of Southern Beirut, has Fires continue to burn at the Site of the Israeli Airstrikes against the Hezbollah Command

The definition of a Decapitation Strike, if they were all Eliminated then Hezbollah is likely Finished as any kind of Organized Fighting Force.

It might take a little time to know who was and wasn't eliminated in the strike. Meanwhile, kudos to Israel.

The Ezekiel 38 event cpuld be years off based in current events.

The Lord is giving great victories to Israel against Iran's proxies and most of the main players like Russia and Iran aren't doing so well militarily.
Could be years, but could also be next week.
With everything in a tailspin, who knows what happen from day to day.
I'm sitting on the edge of my seat to see what's happening.
Maybe our departure :rapture: is on the doorstep, and then :explode:

Did Lee Brainard dump a bunch of cold water on you, too?

But I have also been curious if Russia's military is so weakened by all the Ukraine stuff how they would even be able to do much anytime soon.

Or it could be a short while before Eze 38 happens based on current events. I reckon God knows how long the wait for that event is.

We know for Ezekiel 38 to happen Israel has to be in a state of peace, with "unwalled villages", as you say, "looking at current events", Israel isn't in a state of peace, unless it happened over night, which is doubtful.
But it doesn't prevent the players of Ezekiel 38 from beginning their alliance and planning for it.

They could be in a state of peace for a short time after defeating their enemies immediately surrounding them, which could finish up fairly soon.

Actually, they do get it. If Israel signs an agreement with Lebanon, Hezbollah is free to continue hostilities, but Israel can't attack them on Lebanese soil, air, or waters because that would break the agreement between Israel and Lebanon.

Lebanon needs to fish or cut bait. Either take responsibility for Hezbollah and own them, and suffer the consequences for invading another country's (Israel) sovereign territory, or declare them as unlawful invaders and terrorists on their soil, and ask for help getting rid of them.

It's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo very convenient for the world to play both sides against the middle

Hezbollah having a major influence in the lawful government of Lebanon means Lebanon will neither disavow them, nor negotiate in good faith

  :amen: :amen: :thankyou: :thankyou:
