Is the RAPTURE Really Next Month? The Bible’s Timeline Is Shocking

I agree with Goodboy in that, while Jesus said no one would know the day or hour...............He didn't say anything about us not seeing the month or year of His return for us. He said we would know the season. So, I don't think it is foolish to discuss the timing. It is, after all, our blessed hope, and can be very encouraging to share our thoughts about it. He did say, when you see these things begin to happen, look up! Your redemption draws nigh. Yes, "these things" have happened over the past 2,000 years, but they have never all converged at the same time as they are doing now. This leads me to believe that He will return very soon. He even said that those who were looking for His return would be rewarded with a crown! So, why would I not be watching?? Granted it will only happen when God ordains it to happen, but why should I dampen my own joy because someone else thinks it is foolish for me to watch, and even be excited? To each their own, tho............ we are all different and have our own thoughts on this topic. But, we should be careful not to be a hindrance in any way to our brothers and sisters by arguing about whether to be speculating or not.

Thanks for sharing all that above too, Margery. And your genuine heart felt convictions. Even though I use this post as an opportunity in contrast of sorts, it is a blessing that you share what you have here. For it most certainly is a part of the revelant Christian conversation. Amen. Blessings.
I'm another one that zigs when others zag. In the pursuit of truth it's important not to go with the flow until you've figured out where they are all going.

I heard a rather good proverb once, that always stuck with me- ONLY DEAD FISH swim with the current.

If you're alive, and you are thinking and really following your convictions you and I will be bound to go against the tide, and even find ourselves contrasting.

Blessings right back atcha Teren, from one live fish to another! It's ok to differ!

And at the end of the day that is what makes for good discussions here amongst the Redeemed. We don't all think alike and iron does sharpen iron.

This is a very good thread and in no way am I criticizing Goodboy's position. Just stating a counterpoint.

Another point, if I may............ We have been called to be watchers on the wall. So, doesn't that behoove us to watch??
So that we may share what we see with our brothers and sisters to cause them to realize the closeness of the hour?
Just sayin' ...........

Watching with wonderful expectation brings joy and comfort to me. Makes it a lot easier to make it through each day in this fallen world.

Very well stated!!! I totally agree with everything you said! 😍

Everyone should be entitled to their own opinion without being ridiculed. Don't believe the Rapture is next month? That's fine, feel free to say that. Believe the Rapture is next month? That's fine, feel free to say that. No need to put anyone down based on what they believe, unless it is clearly contrary to the Bible.

Great post KMendel 👍

Just asking for my own clarification -- have you seen or felt that behavior here? I've seen arguments and talking down to others with differing views in other venues, but not here.
Just with one specific person, whom I will not mention. :(
Almost everyone else seems to mind their manners here. 👍

I've been "watching" since the mid-seventies. I've learned so much more about the rapture over the past 50 years, thanks to Rapture
Ready, Rapture Forums, and now here..........along with studying God's Word, of course. (Haven't heard much about it in churches, tho.
Sadly) For many years, I have kept an eye on 1) Pentecost.......my rationale being if the Holy Spirit came upon man then to empower him....it might make sense that the Holy Spirit could be removed on that day. 2) The Feast of Trumpets...... because it would be a perfect time for the church age to end and God to once again focus on the Jews. 3) Perhaps in the summer before FOT for similar reasons. But, I TRULY believe it could be any day, any month and any year. I'm just hoping and praying that it will be one day VERY soon, and God's timing is perfect, so I'll wait for Him to determine the day. But, that won't stop me from thinking and watching and speculating............lol

Greg............I'm butting in here to answer your question that you didn't ask me.........lol
I don't believe anyone here on the forum sets out to, as you say, ridicule others. This is a very loving group of souls.
But, I think that sometimes, in our enthusiasm, or maybe in our set ideas about some things, there are times that we type
before we think how our words might effect others. It behooves us to re-read our posts before we hit the reply button, and
make sure we are being kind, and thoughtful with our words. We all at times are in a place in our lives that we are more sensitive to
what others are saying and we might take it more personally than we otherwise would. So, we should be careful ALL the time with our
words to ensure no one gets hurt. Doesn't mean you can't disagree or point out another view at all.............we should just be careful how we do it.

You sound a lot like my story. 👍

I got save at 28 and was then taught about the Rapture which I had never heard about from my parents or from church. Since that time I have been constantly hoping for the Rapture. Actually, that first year I was saved I was hoping the Rapture would happen then. Now 44 years later, I still have that hope! At this point in my life though being old, divorced, unhealthy, out of money and being around all these crazy sinful people in the world that seem to get worse everyday, my only hope is the Rapture! 👍

I don't really know you but based on the few posts of yours that I have read, you seem to be very wise!!! 😍

Yeah, that's why I asked -- in my experience it's totally out of character for any established member, and definitely those from RF. Kind of sorry I asked, though.

We all have our idiosyncrasies and issues that we feel passionate about or that may set us off and discussions can get lively and people can be misunderstood, but I just don't see that intent from anyone. Not to say sometimes things can't get on our nerves, because we're human and that happens.

But your point is well taken -- several times I've had a response to something ready to go and have decided last second not to post for various reasons, usually because of what I think could be the impact on others, the way it might come across, or might be taken.

Oh my, yes, Goodboy! I can surely relate! When I learned of the rapture from a church visit from Hal Lindsay in the mid-70's, I was on fire to learn more. I think I was about 28 at the time, also. My thoughts were then that the rapture could happen by 2000.............. Okay, so I was off a bit, lol.
I was convinced by the time of Y2K, that was it! Nope. And, here I am, another 25 years later, feeling it could be any day...................praying that is so.
Guess we'll see.................. But the truth is that it will happen exactly when God deems it is right to happen, and that's good enough for me. I'd so love it to be right now tho...........lol

Goodboy.......no not all that wise, just OLD!!! heh-heh.

I also wanted to mention in my last post...........and forgot, cuz I'm old.............. that I'm kinda where you are.
Widowed, with a body that's slowing down and aching much too much, having to watch my pennies now, and struggling to understand
why people to the way they are now....... especially since the covid shutdown, it seems.......... the coldness and lack of love and concern.
It's pitiful. I don't want to live this way for much longer. Heaven would be so much more wonderful, ya know?? Even the millenium would be so much better, cuz I'd have my new body to serve Jesus with. I feel kind of useless in that regard anymore.

You had a church visit from Hal Lindsay? Wow!!! That's amazing!!! 👍

When I first accepted Jesus as my Savior I knew basically nothing about the Bible and did not really feel saved. A fellow Christian coworker gave me Hall Lindsay's book "The Late Great Planet Earth" which I read in two nights and I am a very slow reader. I really learned a lot from that book but the best thing I learned is why Jesus had to die. You see my mind is very logical and it made no sense to me that Jesus had to die so that we could all be saved. I was like, why doesn't God just forgive us without killing his son? Hal Lindsay explained that in his book and as soon as I understood, God convinced me that he is real in such a strong way that I have never doubted, I mean never. I thought everyone would be like that once they were saved, but later I found it was a gift God gave me as other Christians told me they would doubt at times.

Yeah, Hal visited our church in Redding, California ........... and, I bought his book that night. Like you, I read it within a couple of days.
And, I was a young mom to three small kids at the time!! And, like you, I have never had a reason to doubt God, nor his plan for my life.
Believe me, my life has not been easy! But, I know He has always been with me, each and every day............loving me, protecting me, guiding my steps., and bringing me the greatest blessings along with my trials. I pray for that for everyone. It's been quite the journey. Now that I'm nearing
the end of the race, I'm just hanging in there, watching for Him to come for us.................. trying to finish the race well.

Watching with wonderful expectation brings joy and comfort to me. Makes it a lot easier to make it through each day in this fallen world.
I think we all agree - it truly IS the Blessed Hope.
Just with one specific person, whom I will not mention. :(

You've had your issues with me in the past when you disagreed with something I'd said - but it's important to remember that not everyone can or should agree on things that are not key core doctrines.

Whether it's me or someone else who you think is being rude by questioning this video's ideas, it's important to remember that if someone disagrees with you - they aren't attacking you, they are bringing up points about the video that they are uncomfortable with.

We need to be able to discuss things and try to see each other's points of view, even when we ultimately continue to disagree on some issues. It's how we learn and grow as Christians.

I hope you can understand that not everyone is going to see this video that you posted in the same way. People who see it as date setting aren't attacking you personally. When you bring up a topic like this it is bound to have people who like it, and those who question it.

Please don't attack the people that express doubts about the video. They are not attacking you.

Back on RF I think we had an emoji that went "Attack the argument, not the person". People have been responding to the video, not you personally.

I would like to say that @mattfivefour did not date set. He personally believes the rapture will happen during a Feast of Trumpets. He didn't say he was sure of which one, which year or during what day it would occur. He was brought up earlier in the thread but it shouldn't apply to date setting.
I was the one who brought up Mattfivefour's name and even posted just what he said. I also am the one who never said anyone was date setting, I said just the opposite and that people were just stating what it is they believe. You can go back and read my post and see. 👍
