God`s Prophetic Calendar.

Another argument for the Gentile nature of the antichrist is found in biblical imagery. Whenever the word sea is used symbolically in the Scriptures, especially in the Book of Revelation, it is a symbol of the Gentile nations. Since the Beast in Revelation 13:1-10 arises out of the sea, and since the sea represent the Gentile nations (Rev 17:15), this points to the antichrist as being of Gentile origin.
It cant be any plainer than this!

Yes matt,

We know from scripture where the anti-Christ will arise & what his nationality is. We are also told that he is an Assyrian. Now this is a nationality even today. Andre Agassi, the famous tennis player is of Assyrian descent.

Details of the anti-Christ -

His nationality – Assyrian. (Isa. 31: 8 Micah 5: 5)

The region he comes from – the Ancient Assyrian Empire. (Dan. 11: 35 – 43)

Leader of Ancient Assyrian region - Iraq, Syria & Jordan. (Dan. 7: 8)

Leader of Islamic Federation – 10 kings of Islam. (Dan. 7: 8, Rev. 17: 12)

He rules the world – (Rev. 16: 13 & 14, 19: 19)

I cant think of any scenario that would lead Israel to sign a 7 year treaty (which will kick off the 7 year tribulation) with a Muslim.

If the Antichrist is not religious, why would he declare himself to be God when he desecrates the temple ?
The anti-Christ does not adhere to any usual religion. Rather -

he shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall magnify himself above them all. But in their place he shall honour a god of fortresses... (Dan. 11: 37 & 38)

Israel has always stated that it wants to live in peace with its Arab neighbors. Israel has Arabs living in it and also in its government and army. Israel is not anti-Arab. Thus, when the peace negotiator (A/C) steps forward to make peace with Israel after God deals with the Russian Federation & others, Israel will be quite happy to sign a Peace Treaty.

The A/C will desire to magnify himself (Dan. 11: 37) and thus will use the Jewish Temple to proclaim himself as god.

(He) opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. (1 Thess. 2: 4)

I agree that he doesn't adhere to any religion, i was moreso implying that he would want to people to follow/worship him via political means at first then later on religiously as a false god

Not only has it been concluded negatively that the antichrist is not a Jew, but is concluded positively that he is a Gentile, as seen from biblical typology and imagery, along with the very nature of the Times of the Gentiles as presented by the Scriptures. The Bible not only teaches that the antichrist is a Gentile, but it reveals his exact nationality: a Gentile of Roman origin, as seen by a careful study of Daniel 9:26-27.
Hi TT,

So let`s say the anti-Christ comes from the EU. There are nearly 450 million people there with many being Muslims. Then we have Islam at nearly 2 billion people. (Mmmmm)

Next, we know that the 4thbeast is terrifying. So would you call the EU terrifying. They don`t even seem to want to go to war. However, we do see the actions of some from Islam - barbarous Oct .7 and continual killings in North Africa and other places. (Mmmmmm)

Also, we are not to take one scripture by itself but in the context of all God`s word. Thus, there needs to be more scriptures for the Roman view.

Well to play devils advocate to your argument, when the coalition of most of the Islamic countries are defeated after the events of Ezekiel 38, what's to say that Islam would even be a dominant religion after such a comprehensive defeat to Israel via God's hand?

Many would question why Allah wasn't able to destroy Israel.

Hi SS,

Always good to see the other side as that is how we look into God`s word more. So, great.

The Islamic nations that join with the Russian Federation are Iran and Libya,. They are of the Shia aspect of Islam and only about 10%. When they are dealt with by God then the Sunni part of Islam will arise as they will join with the A/C their so-called Messiah.

The main ones of Islam are the richest - Kwait, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, Omar, Yemen, Saudi Arabia. (7) add Iraq, Syria and Jordan (3) and there are the 10 kings of the fourth beast/kingdom.

Hi Margery,

Good we can discuss together.

The Roman Empire was judged by God and is no more. Their Gentile Government is gone. Today there are many ethnic peoples in that former region which stretched West and to the East.

So, the people of the ruler to come refers to the region of the former Seleucid dynasty identified as Assyria. Daniel refers to this great empire, the King of the North and the Ptolemaic Dynasty, the King of the South. These regions were of the legacy of Aleander the Great. In Daniel ch. 11 we read of their continual warfare.

Finally, Daniel is directed to jump two thousand years until the time of the End. These two areas would again return to the focus of world attention. Each contending for key leadership of the Arab Countries, to be recognized as the Moslem Messiah.

Already we have witnessed Nasser of Egypt and Qaddafi of Libya striving for this position. God predicted they would fail. And fail they did. Daniel (11: 35 – 43) foretells that eventually, at the `Appointed Time, the King of the North will prevail. Herein is established beyond doubt or controversy, that the final leader of Islam, the Moslem Messiah, will unmistakably appear in the area of the ancient Assyrian Empire; the King of the North. In fact his nationality is specifically confirmed as The Assyrian, by the prophets Isaiah (10: 24 & 31: 8) and Micah (5: 5)

Ancient Assyria consisted of the present-day nations of Iraq, Syria and Jordan. Quite specifically, it is thus documented that, it is from the composite area that this leader will come. These are the three nations who will obviously consolidate in the foreseeable future for a power-base for the forceful Charismatic leader of Islam.
You are assuming that the Assyrian is a reference to his heritage, rather than to his location. The Antichrist will set up his rule in Babylon, which is in the center of the former Assyrian empire. Therefore the A/C can just as easily be the Assyrian due to geography rather than nationality.

Or both. Glad you see God`s word telling us the A/C will set up his rule in Babylon.

We need to take care about who we label and reject as Roman, being from Rome, etc.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem, came out of Egypt, and was known as Nazarene.

In the same way, the Popes could all be considered as being Roman
Imam Yahya Pallavicini, who is the Chairman of the European Muslim Leaders Majlis (EULEMA), represents Italy and lives in Rome, so also could be considered Roman.

1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,
6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.
8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.
9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh.
12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.
13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:
15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.
16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.
17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying,
18 In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.
19 But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,
20 Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.
21 And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.
22 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:
23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.
