Just waiting for the Rapture at this point!
God’s Leading
Sometimes there are really important decisions you need to make where you need God’s leading. I don’t have a Bible reference to use for this, but this is what I believe God has shown me and has worked for me in the past.
There are three things I need to happen before I will say that “God spoke to me” or more correctly stated “God led me” as he has never spoken to me audibly.
1. I should have some sense of what God wants me to do, which for lack of a better word or description I will call “a feeling”.
2. I should receive at least one (though I usually receive more) type of confirmation to what I have felt that is outside of my control. This is usually something others would call a coincidence. Like the Pastor teaching on the same point that I felt God just shared with me. Or someone, anyone confirming what I am thinking without asking them. The main point here is it must be something that I have no control over; otherwise I may be the one causing this to happen.
3. Last but not least and most important of all, it must line up with God’s Word.
It is my belief (though I have no scripture reference to back it up) that if you use all three tests outlined above, you can be pretty sure it is God’s leading.
So let’s see how this works.

So let’s see how this works.
- You have “a feeling” that God wants you to do something. Nope, that’s not enough.
- Your pastor tells you something that God wants you to do. Nope, that’s not enough.
- You have a feeling and the pastor tells you what God wants you to do. Nope, that’s not enough.
- You have a feeling and the Bible is consistent with what you think God wants you to do. Nope, that’s not enough.
- Your pastor tells you something that God wants you to do that lines up with God’s Word. Nope, that’s not enough.
- You have a feeling that God wants you to do something, the pastor tells you the same thing unsolicited and it lines up with God’s Word. BINGO!!!
