Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of men among them are given fully to do evil. Ecclesiastes 8:11
So much criminal behavior has gone on so long without punishment that those criminals are given fully to do evil... that's what were seeing. Rule of Law is really important and punishment for criminal activity is a must to keep society civil and law abiding.
My SSN has been stolen and used at least 3 times. It’s one that was issued in CA starting with a 5xx. It’s ridiculous that the IRS tells me that they’ve caught this and then they audit my tax return because the one who stole it filed their taxes first. !

wow ive never really noticed that verse before... how succinct!! thank you for sharing
people so often ask why would a loving God allow evil, and how people can go on for so long committing evil without repercussions... this is one of those verses that gives some understanding to those who are curious. and for me, someone who already believes the Bible, its like a BLANKET of understanding!!

I happened to come across it last night while doing my nightly reading. I read that verse, read it again, highlighted it... There is so much knowledge and wisdom in the Bible, don't think I'll ever absorb it all, but I sure mean to try.

I've got a CA SSN that starts with 5 as well. It's not been stolen and used to my knowledge, but I currently get a new code from the IRS each year and have to use that code to file taxes... I tried to set up advanced security with the SSA too. It said I did, but I couldn't figure out what had changed after I went through the process...
