This morning, I sent a message to an Israeli diplomat — a man who not only serves his nation, but who has also accepted Yeshua as Messiah. I had written with deep love and respect to honor the soldiers of Israel who have given their lives in defense of the covenant and the Land.
His reply came with quiet weight — the kind of response shaped by war, loss, and the burden of defending a nation that many in the West can hardly begin to understand.
“Your words are hard for me today, the Day of the Remembrance of the Fallen Soldiers in Israel’s wars. I lost several friends in Lebanon, Judea, Samaria, and other places. It’s becoming harder to defend our Nation — but we’ll be here to defend her.”
This is the cost of covenant. Not in theory, but in blood. The defense of Israel is not political — it is spiritual. It is rooted in a promise God made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. A promise that still stands. A promise that is tested in every generation.
On this Yom HaZikaron, we remember not only the fallen — we reaffirm the covenant. We stand with those who carry the weight of this defense. Those who have buried friends. Those who continue to fight. Those who refuse to surrender their inheritance — even when the world demands it.
Today, I want to say to every defender of Israel: you are not alone. There is a remnant across the nations that sees, that prays, that stands. We honor your sacrifice. We honor your courage. And we plead with you:
Defenders of Israel, stand up. Stand not only with strength — but with covenant clarity. Stand not only in battle — but in faith that the God of Israel is still faithful.
This article was written with deep respect and love for the soldiers of Israel who have given their lives in defense of the covenant and the Land. On this solemn day of remembrance, I honor their sacrifice and stand in solidarity with you. Their courage and devotion are not forgotten — they are a living testimony to the promises of God over Israel.
May their memory be a blessing, and may you find strength in knowing that many stand with you, upholding Israel in prayer, commitment, and love.
Am Yisrael Chai. May the promise live, and may the defenders be strengthened.
To the Church:
As we honor the defenders of Israel today, let us not remain silent.
Let the watchmen rise. Let the intercessors take their place.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Pray for the protection of the IDF.
Pray for the comfort of the families who mourn.
Pray for the full awakening of Israel — to her covenant, her Messiah, and her destiny.
May Yeshua, the Prince of Peace, reign over Jerusalem.
May He strengthen every soldier, guide every leader, and restore all things according to His promise.
In Yeshua’s name we pray — amen.
