Where Will You Be When It Happens? :: By Zachary Everett

Well-known
A nudge from the Lord on something very important. As I write this, war is expanding throughout the Middle East slowly but steadily. China’s economy is surging towards collapse. North Korea & Russia are preparing their own fields for greater conflict. The economy is teetering with job layoffs expanding. Violence is at every corner of society. Can we say the word normalcy is becoming rarer each day for a society desperately holding on to a vain hope that everything will return to normal?

The signs are here, and what is to come will change everything we know forever. But let me ask you this, for the Lord Jesus Christ has put it in my heart for me to share this with you. Where will you be when it happens? When the church’s rapture takes place? And what will you be thinking?

How interesting that my mind, as of late, has been focused on this. I’ve always wondered, when the Rapture happens, where will I be? Such thoughts have been great, even as my daily routines continue without end. Have you ever imagined where you will be when it happens? For me, I have wondered, will it be:

  • When I am doing my weekend walks in the parks.
  • Maybe when I am working my cashier job selling tickets 8 hours a day.
  • Maybe when I am at a bookstore reading books or graphics.
  • Or when I am at home looking at the internet, keeping up to date on world news.
  • Or in the bathroom (God have mercy, I hope not!)
  • Or when I am in bed, ready to sleep and praying for a peaceful sleep.
  • Or maybe in the morning when I wake up.

Though I like most the article, this a bit less:

Let the Lord Jesus Christ take those thoughts and cast them away so you will be ready to meet him in Heaven with a joyful heart.

I don't need to cast away my bad thoughts for the sake of being ready.
God will take me with my "warts and all".
Yes, we need to fight against bad thoughts and deeds, but not to earn anything.
Christ earned it for us. (And thank God, He did!) That's what gives me a joyful heart.
We need to strive against sin out of a thankful heart for our salvation.

Every night as I close up the house for bed (I did it just before I came on here) I look out the window facing east, towards Jerusalem, and look at the sky and pray. Often it's just the word "soon" or "someday soon" but I remember the promises of the Lord in His Word, that He said he will come get us, and I remind Him that I remember and that I know His promises are Yes and Amen.

I don't know that I'll be looking up at just that right split second, but I love the evening ritual, of looking out, praying for the Rapture, reminding myself of His promise and that it's soon. Soon as in Imminent. Could be at any time. Soon as in the signs are behaving like labour pains. Soon as in things keep moving towards the Tribulation, so the Rapture comes first. If I see the signs of the Tribulation, the Rapture is even faster.

I hope it's during Holy Communion and the church is left empty :) If so, hopefully between tables so there's not a mess of bread and wine on the floor

More importantly, I pray Jesus finds me doing His work when He comes back instead of in the middle of a gross sin, or that when I go, my disappearance will help lead someone left behind to saving faith, or even both  Even if it's just whatever Christian T shirt and crucifix I'm wearing at the time being left there without me in it

  :amen: :amen: :thankyou: :thankyou:

Dont be like Usain Bolt, pointing at others, well before crossing the line, easy win.
I remember during the heats he was cruising with another Canadian sprinter Andre Degrasse and he was looking at him smiling the whole race and to make it appear that he also wasn't trying Andre looked back at him and smiled the whole way as well even though you could see he was straining a bit🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
