Finishing up a few chapters in a book that the book club read and I missed. One short sentence in the chapter Attention has really captured me and it is this, "what we pay attention to molds us completely". Think of that! Is it the TV and which programs we choose, is it food, sports, pleasure of any sort, and not that there is anything wrong with any of those things but what grabs the main part of our attention? Hopefully it is it the Word of God and what He wants us to know. Mull that one over and consider what will matter for the eons of eternity because we will indeed exist in one of two places for the eons of eternity. For the Christian, the place where we will be is assured but what of rewards, what of the joy or grief we bring the Holy Spirit of God, what of the discipline in this life and the peace or lack thereof? I know you all know these things but reminders are good.
