I was listening to Tom Hughes, and Alex Traimann the head of JNS news talking this all over just now on this YT here: - YouTube it's less than 20 minutes, it's EXCELLENT.
at about the 18 minute mark Alex said something that caught my attention. He started by saying that Israel had gotten soft before Oct 7 of '23.
He and Tom talked about the 2 years of war, what it's done to the young Israelis, who have been serving in the IDF now on rotations for the past 2 years. It's hardened them into a fighting force, prepared them to stand together - the leftists who would have given everything away are now understanding why they can't give a single inch because that enemy they faced every day for the past 2 years is also regathering their strength.
Many terrorists who spent time in Israeli jails for the crimes on Oct 7 have now become millionaires due to the Palestinian Authority "Pay for Slay" program. Some were even set free as part of the 2000 plus prisoners Israel let go just so they could get their living hostages back. Wonder what the money will go to????
Alex explained Israel needs time to breathe, recoup, recover right now, but this war has welded their young people into a cohesive fighting force. Meanwhile it's a time to regroup, repair, rebuild and get ready for the next round.
God is allowing this. It will be interesting to see what happens next.
The Israelis can take a well earned rest. As they prepare for the inevitable.
After all we've seen this Gaza movie before! It took 18 years after George Bush forced Israel into giving up Gaza before an army of rapists, murderers and arsonists were let loose into Israel, 2 years of bloody war followed where Israel was forced to back off every time Hamas wanted a breather. Now we are going for the same thing all over again. Bet it doesn't take 18 years THIS TIME!
Israel can watch all the internationals that are supposed to disarm Gaza bleed for a nice change.

Unfortunately that is Lebanon right now. The French let Hezbollah back in Southern Lebanon when they were supposed to prevent it. Israel has had to bomb Southern Lebanon several times. Tiffany Trump's father in law, the Lebanese business expert who helped broker the deal is nowhere in sight.
Another failure - peace forced down everyone's throat before the enemy was defeated.
And zero tolerance for Israel while Hamas and Hezbollah get a free pass to keep firing.
Because we have to give Peace a Chance!
I don't think it will take long before Egypt opens tunnels to send shipments of weapons and cash from Qatar again. I heard a news report today that Hamas has been stockpiling weapons outside the country, in order to smuggle in as soon as Israel isn't directly in charge anymore. Not surprised.
It will be interesting to see who is on that Board of "Peace" and what skin they have in the game. Turkey and Qatar in particular seem to be at the forefront of everything. Jordan and Egypt have been so helpful. Even Syria helped out at the UN. Everyone seems to have a say in Israel's future right now.
I'm sure they will work hard to stop Hamas! I'm sure they have Israel's best interests at heart! We can trust them right????
Tomorrow MBS the Saudi Crown Prince has a meeting with Trump at the White House. Another trustworthy sort. Smiles nicely, wears a nice suit.

Netanyahu will likely be fighting for his political life as his opponents point out the unfortunate optics-- how Israel's enemies have become Trump's allies. Trump is after all the best friend that Israel ever had in the White House -everyone says so. All Israel was left with was to say yes, thank you. There was no other option.
I expect that will help galvanize Israel to make sure that next time, their friends in Washington and elsewhere won't have a chance to tie their hands before Israel can finish taking out their enemies.
At least that is what I hope.
Because the best hope of peace in the Middle East is a strong Israel, who is allowed to take out her enemies......permanently!
Instead of rewarding them with a little chunk of Israel while they chant

To Israeli families who've lost loved ones. In the service of the IDF, or as a result of rapes, murders, beheading or being burnt alive on Oct 7, or as they found out their family members taken as hostages are now bodies to be buried. To those mourning suicides from the horrors.
To the Israelis struggling with PTSD
To all the Israelis who endured having lives upended- as those in the north and near Gaza had to move away to safer places. Who are STILL living with that.
To Netanyahu who put his country and the hostages first. Ahead of his career, ahead of winning.
To the hostages who are finally home.
