Trump sidelines Netanyahu in Middle East policy as relations deteriorate

Almost Heaven

Well-known
Sources close to US President Donald Trump report that he is disappointed with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Relations between Prime Minister Netanyahu and the US president have reached a low point with mutual disappointment on both sides. Sources in the president's inner circle report that he has grown increasingly frustrated with the Israeli prime minister.

Earlier this week, we reported that Netanyahu was frustrated with Trump. Now it appears the American president has also lost patience with his Israeli counterpart. Two senior figures in Trump's circle stated in recent closed-door conversations, whose contents reached Israel Hayom, that Trump has decided to stop waiting for Israel and instead move forward with Middle East initiatives without Netanyahu.

The sources explained that the president wishes to make decisions he believes will advance American interests, particularly regarding Saudi Arabia and Gulf states. Israel was supposed to participate in some of these steps, referring primarily to normalization with Saudi Arabia. However, according to Trump's perspective, Netanyahu is delaying making the necessary decisions. Given this situation, the president refuses to wait until Israel takes its expected actions and is proceeding without Israeli participation.

It should be noted that as part of normalization with Israel, Saudi Arabia expects an end to the war in Gaza and an Israeli declaration about a "horizon for a Palestinian state," or similar terminology. Minister Ron Dermer, who manages this issue, has spent numerous hours crafting language related to Israel's willingness to establish a "Palestinian state" in the future, given public opposition to the concept and the political sensitivity of the term in Israel.

Furthermore, Trump is furious about what he views as an attempt by Netanyahu and his team to pressure National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, who has since been dismissed from his position, toward military action in Iran. Netanyahu claimed in response to the publication of this matter in The Washington Post that he spoke with Waltz only once. However, Trump remained unconvinced.

The president's anger likely explains Israel's exclusion from both the announcement regarding the ceasefire with the Houthis and Israel's inclusion in the agreement. It's worth noting that even after Trump announced the agreement with the Houthis, Israeli representatives handling relations with the US were unable to obtain information from White House officials about developments for a full 24 hours. Beyond Israel's exclusion, Trump is not currently scheduled to visit Israel during his regional trip next week.

So from where I sit this is the situation:

Trump called Netanyahu out of a state visit to Hungary that really was important to get his backside into a chair in the oval office for a Photo Op. Netanyahu was expecting the 17% tariffs on Israeli goods to be dropped because he had as a gesture of good faith dropped ALL tariffs against US goods designed to protect his much smaller country's ability to produce.

But no. Nothing of the kind.

Instead Netanyahu is blindsided by an announcement that instead of going into Iran as a joint venture to take out the nukes threatening the entire world but especially the US and Israel, that Trump is now in talks with Iran. Reminder- Iran views America as one of it's 2 main targets for nukes.

AND then Trump also says that Turkey's dear leader who calls for Israel's annhilation is considered a close friend of Trump.

Smile hard Bibi, and swallow your feelings, smile and smile some more. It's nothing personal, just the life of your people on the line and the leader of America, your closest ally, someone you trusted is now proving that his interests don't align with Israel and instead, he's going to go the Obama route with both Iran and Turkey.

Smile harder Bibi, or they will take the weapons you paid for away like Biden did, and you KNOW you need those to use in Lebanon and any future raid on Iran. That American aid money had strings attached. You had to use it to buy American weapons, and you couldn't produce your own. Any defensive weapons you do manage to develop will be shared with your friends in Washington. Part of that deal.

And Trump was sure to remind Bibi in that same meeting about that "aid" money - conveniently leaving out the part that all that "aid" has to be spent buying AMERICAN MADE WEAPONS, and Israel CAN'T make their own.

Another little humiliation.

Just be thankful that even though you were forced to pull back from the ground you bled on in Gaza, that it isn't worse.

Maybe Trump won't grab Gaza as a prize. In spite of the AI generated video he posted on Truth Social in his own account, that showed his plans for a Vegas style casino on the Med.

But Trump did go ahead and declare peace with the Houthis just as Israel was starting to win that war for BOTH Israel and America.

And now Trump's administration that he hand picked, is making a deal with the Saudi's with or without Israel's participation.

Not to mention that Iran deal. Again, with or without Israel.

and Trump is feeling grumpy at Netanyahu!

For what?

Not smiling broadly enough when the knife twists in his back???

Hmmm while I'm in my rather acid and grumpy observations, lets just say that casinos are a prime method for money laundering- a far better way of doing that than say what Biden's son was doing in Ukraine.

Merely what strikes my eye this morning when I read this article.

Seems to me that America might as well buckle up, the incoming storms and disasters might be the subject for another best seller book by Bill Koenig as a sequel to his Eye To Eye, and Revealed- Obama's Legacy.

God has a way of looking after Israel. And dealing with those who harm her.

I can see one major blessing coming out of this- and it would line up with the position we see in Scripture. Israel alone. Nobody to lean on.

At some point God would remove Israel from those she leans on.

There has been an idolatrous attitude towards President Trump as if he was Cyrus 2.0. God doesn't share HIS glory or worship!

It's not just the religious rabbis who look for any and every sign of a Messiah (except the One who actually came on schedule 2k years ago).

The political and secular leaders on BOTH sides of their aisle- from right and left who look to Trump as an earthly saviour on the lines of a Cyrus. Sent by God to get them out of trouble.

Except trouble is coming

And God is removing those who they tended to rely on. Their earthly "messiah" figures.

Whether it's the Israeli leftists who seemed to love Biden no matter what or the Israeli right wing who see in Trump a friend of Israel.

One day soon Israel will be dwelling in a false sense of security in her unwalled villages, in her ability to overcome the evil neighbours.

Which might suggest that in the near future Israel will deal with those enemies just in time to relax, recharge and be caught by surprise in Ezek 38.

This is all part of God's plan to get Israel back to relying on HIM, looking to HIM and trusting in HIM.

This won't end well for Trump or the US sadly

Trump's sidelining of Israel on some of the Middle East issues he's working could be a yuge blessing for Israel.
Yep i agree, a nothing to lose mentality is what Israel needs to embrace to gain victory over there enemies.

All these BS deal negotiating is only delaying the ineditable for Israel and benefitting their enemies.

As Margery said, God will defend and provide Israel's needs to handle this situation

It'll be interesting to see how things settle over there. When Trump went after the Houthis, it was always about direct US interests so when the Houthis agreed not to target ships or the US in the area anymore I wasn't surprised that protection for Israel wasn't part of the consideration.

The US had slipped big time from its position of global leadership and Trump is trying to orquestrate moves back to the top. For him I think Israel is not an important part of the equation insofar as what Israel can contribute to US leadership as the US under Trump already has Israel in its corral. Saudi Arabia is important not with regards to any relationship with Israel, but as a large oil producer and exporter of same. Trump wants them to continue to sell in US dollars, I'm sure, and I'll bet that's his end game with Saudi Arabia: to keep them in the US corral where they used to be solidly pre-diben. In the scheme of US dominance, the relationship between Israel and Saudi Arabia doesn't even register, or so I think.

There are a few tangled events to consider:
  • Mike Waltz was not effective in negotiations as Nat’l Security Adviser and Steve Witkoff isn’t doing better. This embarrassment to the WH may cause Trump to overreact. His desired outcomes for Gaza & Iran were not well represented by either man, and some in Israel have rubbed some salt into that wound.
  • Israel’s head of Shin-bet is anti-Netanyahu and refuses to obey the Cabinet. He resists getting fired by appealing to Israel’s high court who are anti-Netanyahu. It’s a mess because this guy will face a firing squad of questions over who is to blame over Oct. 7 th? He is trying to drag down Netanyahu, even resorting to false arrests of police officials who protect Jewish settlers because he is leftist. He didn’t alert PM Netanyahu to Hamas invasion because he was afraid that Netanyahu would make a big deal of it and start a war. He’s pulling a James Comey coverup of Biden’s laptop and Israel’s leftist media push his false accusations.
Both leaders are facing smear campaigns and that would intensify if they were seen to stand together.

I’m not comfortable with the appearance that Trump seems to be distancing himself from Israel, but it may be similar to the Saudis who publicly support Hamas, yet in reality would prefer a world without Hamas and a nuke armed Iran.

Ambassador Huckabee was interviewed by TBN this week and reemphasized that Iran is an imminent threat.

I don't envy Huckabee's position but I think it's like Esther- in the place that God put him in, FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS!

Every Christian praying for Israel is here for such a time as this!

And after all that, those who hold that Trump AI video of Gaza resort as gospel will in no wise be convinced of the dust clearing wisdom does to help see what is left on the ground. For an age of sensationalism, to let go of Trump Gaza AI video vibe is sacreligious. And downright unbiblical. I appreciate your vibe and thoughts dear sister. But some are addicted to seeing Trump as mind as well be the AC anyway. It's too popular. There are T-shirts. And its helps us feel in the know.

But I would just say remember the Greatest Deal of the Century? It was going to divide Israel? It was going to cause America judgement? Yet not Joe Biden cuz its Trump that is our judgement...lol. So crawling out of all that through graffiti rubble...what we got was closer to Ez 38 than ever before. And who noticed? No one. But instead soup up our reels. GEt those videos ablazing. Get on front street with our Christian Wall Street views of how to tell the church to think about prophecy. Meanwhile, sheepishly like the book of Ruth hidden in the nector of the book of Judges before it became its own book. Like Ruth hidden in the backdrop of all the super hero stardom of Judges...was the true lineage to the one real Super Hero, Christ. Calm. Sweet. Subtle. In the background. Where nothing but wheat gathering was going on. No peg through the head. No bone crushing antics. No stories of intigue and seduction. Just, wheat gathering. Boring like watching paint dry, right?

So if what we got with the Greatest Deal of the Century is 1,000 miles closer to Ez 38 while the entire church pays no attention...I'd say...what comes of this season is gonna rock our socks off. Blessings.

Personally I'm thinking that most of the information about Trump and what he is allegedly planning behind the scenes regarding the Middle East and Israel is misinformation. There are a lot of actors in play at this time and they are doing their best to drive a wedge between Trump and Netanyahu, America and Israel. It seems the media is very quick to pick up on anything that would indicates that Trump is not 100% behind Israel.
