Netanyahu threatens to strike Iran nuclear sites, scuttling talks - report

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened to halt nuclear talks between the US and Iran by launching a strike on Iranian nuclear facilities, according to The New York Times on Wednesday.

Citing officials briefed on the matter, Netanyahu has butted heads with US President Donald Trump in at least one phone call. US and Israeli officials have held a "flurry of meetings in recent days."

Israel's Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer and Mossad chief David Barnea met with US Specail Envoy Steve Witkoff in Rome on Friday. The Israel Defense Forces has reportedly been ramping up preparations for a massive airstrike across Iran against its nuclear facilities, and in at little notice as seven hours, limiting the time that the Trump administration would be able to stop Israel.

Israel reportedly fears Trump will strike a deal similiar to the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which Trump withdrew from in his first term in office. Even if he tries to sell it as better, it may allow Iran to continue its enrichment.

The only good deal, Netanyahu has said, is one which dismantles the nuclear program's enrichment facilities. Some of these are deep underground, difficult to reach by conventional weapons, which means a successful strike may require US collaboration.

Trump, on the other hand, has made it clear that he prefers a deal, although he has touted a "maximum pressure" campaign against Tehran. Critics say that Iran is using the talks as a cover from mounting sanctions for as long as possible.

Trump indicated that there was positive progress in the talks, hoping "something good" would be announced in the "next two days." The sources told The New York Times that, at best, this would be a "declarationof some common principles.

The coming attack on Iran could very well be taking place this week.

Israel is now FULLY PREPARED to strike Iran.

A MEDIA BAN has been implemented regarding Netanyahu's security consultations on Iran.

The phone call between President Trump & Prime Minister Netanyahu has concluded. It lasted for over 40 minutes.

PM Netanyahu now just entered a security meeting with ALL of the heads of the defense establishment with the focus being Iran.

The list of ministers that will attend the cabinet meeting following Netanyahu's call with President Trump:

• Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu
• Israeli Defense Minister Katz
• Israeli Strategic Minister Dermer
• Israeli Security Minister Ben-Gvir
• Israeli Chief of Mossad Barnea
• Israeli Chief of Staff Zamir
• Israeli Air Force Commander Bar
• Israeli Finance Minister Smotrich
• Israeli Chief of Shin Bet Zini

Trump-Netanyahu conversation was about the breakdown of nuclear talks with Iran. As talks collapse, military action is LIKELY.

Iran's Supreme National Security Council says in a statement that, “ANY aggression by the ISRAELI regime against Iranian nuclear facilities will be met with an IMMEDIATE STRIKE on Israel's SECRET NUCLEAR SITES.”

IRAN is threatening so that US/Israel won't carry out any attack on Iran. Iran warns that ANY ATTACK, would be the end of Israel & ALL the US military bases in the region.

If a precise attack on Iran's nuclear facilities by Israel or the US turns out to be what some think would be the Elam destruction of Jeremiah 49, I doubt Iran's "threat" would hold up very well.

Here is an excerpt from an article by Joe Hawkins regarding this prophecy.......

Breaking the Bow of Elam

The first element of the prophecy is the breaking of Elam’s bow, which symbolizes its military might. In ancient times, the bow was a primary weapon in warfare, representing the strength and capability of a nation’s army. This “breaking” is seen as a future event where Elam’s military power will be crippled. Historically, Elam was known for its fierce military presence (Genesis 14:1), but the prophecy implies that its ability to wage war will be taken away.

In a modern context, this could be interpreted as a crippling blow to Iran’s military capabilities, particularly its growing nuclear program. The nuclear facility at Bushehr, located in the region that was once Elam, has been at the center of global attention. The “bow” could represent not only traditional military power but also Iran’s nuclear ambitions, which have the potential to be destroyed through military intervention or internal conflict.

Scattering to the Four Winds

The prophecy continues with a vivid image of Elam’s people being scattered “to the four winds.” This phrase represents a worldwide dispersion, similar to the fate of Israel when its people were scattered due to disobedience and judgment (Deuteronomy 28:64). The scattering of the Elamites implies a large-scale displacement, likely caused by warfare or disaster, where the people are forced to flee to every corner of the earth.

The scattering could be related to a nuclear disaster, a military strike, or internal collapse, driving the people of Elam out of their homeland. Current events in Iran, ranging from political unrest to economic instability, point toward a scenario where a mass migration could occur, fulfilling this aspect of the prophecy.
