Trump Administration Fast-Tracks Controversial Self-Amplifying mRNA Vaccine for H5N1 Bird Flu

The Trump administration has granted Fast Track designation to a groundbreaking — and controversial — self-amplifying mRNA (sa-mRNA) vaccine candidate targeting the H5N1 avian influenza virus.

The vaccine, ARCT-2304, developed by Arcturus Therapeutics, is now in Phase 1 trials and has been positioned by federal health authorities as a front-line defense against a potential bird flu pandemic.

The designation, announced April 10, was awarded by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services and its Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA).

The Fast Track designation from the FDA expedites the review of drugs intended for serious or life-threatening conditions that demonstrate the potential to address unmet medical needs.

Unlike traditional vaccines, the ARCT-2304 candidate uses a self-replicating mRNA platform, meaning the genetic material continues reproducing inside the recipient’s cells to boost production of flu-fighting proteins. Arcturus claims this results in a stronger immune response with smaller doses.
BARDA, the same agency involved in Operation Warp Speed under the previous Trump term, has been given sweeping authority to fund and fast-track pandemic-related vaccines and therapeutics.

Concerns about side effects have been voiced, especially given the rapid rollout and the unprecedented scale of vaccination.

Even though it is slated for chickens, many countries won't allow bird vaccinated poultry into their country. Including the US. I hope we don't change on that.

Ultimately this is kind of a mad-scientist look for Trump admin. Its almost like he is oblivious to concerns of him being the father of WarpSpeed Vax. Where that does not sit very well with portions of his voting base and certainly many others. It is understandable to think outside the box to save chickens. But if it is going to spook millions from eating those chickens (which already has sound precedent set in the US), why save them? To sell them to countries that don't care about vaccinated chickens? Just seems other worldly. Blessings.

Bad idea! Just like Warp Speed. Nobody learned anything from the Covid experiment.

But the reason for this is factory style farms where all of America's poultry and eggs are produced in these gigantic operations where if 1 bird gets sick, then a huge chunk of American eggs and chickens are put to death fast before the disease spreads.

Going to smaller farms is out of the question for the big Agra corporations to think of, so high tech vax is their solution.

Most foreign countries don't want unsafe meat or poultry, dairy or eggs. Health and safety regs are big in other countries and that is not a tariff, that is common sense. Why the FDA doesn't ban stuff the rest of us do is beyond me. Things like Bovine growth hormone, allowable limits of pus in the dairy, growth hormones in meats. NOT safe! Not for Americans, not for anyone.

Like many on this forum, I did take a few of the jabs, but never will again.

I'm a person who has had a lot of vaccines and never gave it a 2nd thought. After taking 4 or 5 vaccines for the COVID virus, I'll never take another mRNA vaccine again. I'll never know if my heart failure was the result of taking those mRNA shots or not, but there is a pretty good chance of it, given the available data.

I don't understand why Trump seems so positive about mRNA vaccines... Existing evidence of damage caused by the COVID mRNAs should be enough for an intelligent person to realize they're simply not safe for humankind.

On one hand, I can understanding that letting big pharma speed path to a COVID vaccine to reopen globally is preferred to allowing global economies to collapse under mass forced shutdowns...amounting to the global reset. To me, this understanding is a saving grace upon Trump. But, on the other hand, if he proves out to be just a big pharma schill (already being a billionairre & pimping bad destructive medication -- that would be prima facia evil). or his ego makes him so blind he can't be trusting around young children, thinking adults or sound society...if he can't think past his own "Trump is glorious make believe world" (as to be so dumbed down by ego blindness = criminal levels of reckless endangerment high crimes felony level), then I'd say put him in diapers like the famed balloons of him we all saw during the 45 years, and burn him at the stake as a witch. As an example. So he wants to save America from globalism to feed us Bill Gates stylized mRNA edibles? I'll take globalism--at least then we have some real protein albeit from bugs...at least hopefully more natural. If that is who Trump is, strap him to nuke and target an asteroid with him tied to it. We could not make his demise loud enough.

In principle I don't have a difficulty with vaccines. The biological concept is sound and in most cases proven. But the same cannot be said for the mRNA "vaccines", which are not actually vaccines. Their danger is that they mess with the internal biology of humans and independent research now has demonstrated that not only can it cause serious issues in relation to the heart as well as cancers, but in some (many?) cases it can actually change a person's DNA. And not for the better. In other words the negative effects are permanent and may not be restricted to the individual who took the vaccine but to any offspring they may have in the future as well.
