Titanic Submarine Disaster

They say CO death is essentially painless: you just go to sleep. But what "they" are not taking into account is that death is not the end of existence but merely the transition to an eternal life. And where you spend that eternity is solely the result of the decision you make in this life. So, I repeat that I hope all of these people have—or in the next few hours will—put their faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for them.

Missing Titanic submarine found, crew killed in deep-sea catastrophe, Coast Guard says

From FoxNews:

BOSTON – The search for the missing OceanGate Titan submersible came to a tragic end Thursday when search-and-rescue teams discovered a "debris field" on the ocean floor near the wreck of the Titanic, where the crew was headed before losing contact with their surface vessel Sunday morning.

"The debris is consistent with the catastrophic loss of the pressure chamber. Upon this determination, we immediately notified the families," U.S. Coast Guard Rear Admiral John Mauger told reporters. "On behalf of the United States Coast Guard and the entire unified command, I offer my deepest condolences to the families."

The announcement came hours after the USCG alerted the public that a robotic vehicle made the discovery.

(more):

It is my sincere belief the Ocean Gate vessel command and those onboard in the communications room knew what happened the instant the sub imploded. It would have been heard and recorded on sonar. The contact would have dissipated and disappeared.

The rescue response was merely to buy time to spin a story of hope for the families of those onboard.

There are too many stories of those at Ocean Gate cutting corners and outright lying about design collaboration engineers and safety testing.

While the loss of life is absolutely tragic the responsibility lies with those who boarded the vessel and those who deployed it knowing it lacked testing and safety protocols.

I don’t like government oversight shutting down exploration but the government needs to shut these companies down until they can prove they’ve met industry standards.

What bothers me is that they are saying the US Navy was aware something happened and didn't report anything until they found the debris field today. My heart breaks for the Pakistani Dawood family, who lost both father and son, as well as the friends and loved ones of the other passengers. A lot of strain, broken hopes and sleepless nights could have been avoided.

The US Navy knew it when it happened. I’ll guarantee that information was passed to the US Coast Guard. The Ocean Gate vessel knew it when it happened too! Sonar picked it up.

They all knew it when it happened the advanced sonar used on those vessels to find those wrecks is super sensitive. I’ll guarantee you they heard it and knew it.

All the rescue efforts were just going through the motions, training missions for military units.

There are two outstanding lawsuits against the now dead CEO, from a former employee and two Florida customers who paid $500,000 for a trip that was canceled.

When the lawyers get through with the CEO’s estate there won’t be a dime left. Personally I believe by the con job he pulled on these people his estate should be 100% liable.

He lied about Washington State University, Boeing, and NASA being involved in the design and build of Titan, which is fraudulent. This guy circumvented the deep submersible regulating agencies.

I’d personally like to know why NOAA and or the US Coast Guard did not shut him down prior to this disaster?

There should be congressional level hearings over this. The Titanic site should be shutdown at least for tourism. Unless these travel agents can produce certified deep diving submersibles, with redundant safety systems.

I suspect the usual methods: kickbacks, bribes, backroom promises and dealings, etc.

As for "OceanGate", it's aptly named.... right up there with Watergate.
