They call me the Candy Lady

I needed a lot of Bibles. Happily Christian book dot com was still running a sale when my paycheck dropped today.

I paid my bills. I got cat stuff, groceries, Candy Lady stuff. I go through a lot of plastic bags, for instance. I came home, crunched the numbers, and spent the rest on Bibles! No regrets! I just wish I could have got a few other things.

I've decided to wrap the Bibles this year. I felt confirmed on that when I found my local grocery selling rolls of wrapping paper - 2 for $1. I am set now. 83 Bibles and 17 Bible Promise books. I have about 50 English New Testaments already.

I am seeking prayers.
1. Protection and good health for me, my stuff, the cats. The devil has been attacking me a lot at work. If I'm sick, or badly injured, I can't do outreach. And I have to be very careful to mind my witness.

2. Guidance.

3. Protection and guidance for the recipients.

4. Protection for my shipments and bank account.

5. Suitable Handout weather and guidance on plan B if it rains.

Thank you! It's so good having a squad!

I can always use ongoing prayer for work.

I arrived home, 5 cases neatly stacked off to the side of my porch. Very thoughtful.

2 cases were damaged but everything was fine except receipt. 😜.

I made 2 videos. First is me walking home and finding them, about 5 minutes.

Second is longer, about 20 minutes, unboxing dozens of Bibles and a nice stack of Bible Promise books. The friend I reference who wants the King James is having some struggles.

Second video is uploading I'll put the link.

I handed out an "Old" King James, and 2 NKJV Bibles yesterday. I like a more modern translation but have had recipients say they ONLY want "Old King James".

I'm going to give people what they will read as long as The Spirit indicates it's the authentic Word of God.

I made this order with my money so I got an assortment of translations, NLT, NIV, NASB, etc. There's also an "Old" (RV) Spanish and a New (NVI) one so I got about half of each.

I have a nice amount of whole Bibles, too. Ideally I like to give the whole Word of God if I can manage it. I also always bring some small New Testaments for people walking around who want something pocket sized.

I also handed out several Bible Promise books. Those are always huge and I can afford to be generous as I have 40 more inbound.

Please pray. I actually had a good day yesterday and the boss was pleased with my work for a change. Also safety. It is cold for Houston too.

Are you doing a lot of outreach to people who are learning English as a 2nd language? If so, EasyEnglish is geared to people who have some, but not a great deal of English. What is EasyEnglish?

https://www.easyenglish.bible/about-easyenglish/what-is/

Half the world’s population is predicted to be speaking or learning English within the next ten years (Burleigh, 2004). This explosion of English usage is fuelled by an increasingly globalised culture and the rise of English as a medium of business and education.

However, most English speakers do not speak it as their first language, and many would benefit greatly from English texts written specifically with them in mind. This opens up enormous opportunities for controlled language systems that have international and cross-cultural applicability. Wycliffe Associates, a UK-based organisation, has devised such a system, known as EasyEnglish.

All of the books of the Bible and commentaries can be accessed via the link below. Even though English is my first and only language, reading this super easy version and really helped me.
