I tend to be reticent about sharing everything as I worry I'm blowing a trumpet (Matthew 6:2) but I have felt pushed to share more what an "every" day looks like.
So today I did a henna treatment for my hair. I may put up a photo at some point. My natural hair is mostly gray with some medium brown. The henna is extremely inexpensive, easily obtained at a nearby import store (they have amazing spices as well). I play chemist and make the paste, let the paste cure 4 hours, apply, wrap my head in plastic (a lot!)

and wait 4- 5 hours to rinse it out.
But today I had what can only be termed as an itch to go out during my treatment. I work at Walmart and I have seen far worse than a pudgy middle aged lady in a satin bonnet cap.
If I'm going out I'm taking my bag, with evangelism packets. I had a couple Spanish, 6 New Testaments, and a few with.plain candy, tract, Scripture booklet. I also include a handwritten note "I'm praying for you daily!" (I can write it in English or Spanish

).
I applied the henna and wrapped my head, put on the bonnet. I can't wear my glasses my head is too fat with the plastic and shower caps I use. That's OK I can do pretty much anything that doesn't involve tech. I put my candy in my hand cart (non driving due to brain damage from birth).
God sends me people. He flags them and points them out. I offer the Gospel and they're delighted. This happened again and again, the mail man, the bus drivers, the man I let cut in front of me at the grocery store.
While I was out, I bought more candy (it is a really good mix and very reasonable), bags, etc. You would not believe how much candy, index cards (for the notes), tracts, booklets, New Testaments I go through for the Candy Lady ministry.
I also found a nice pork roast for $4. When I got home I seasoned it up. I have it marinating in the fridge.
