Trump announce : there is a deal:

I am very proud to announce that both Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of our peace plan.

This means that all the hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw its forces to the agreed line—as a first step toward a strong, stable, and everlasting peace. All sides will receive fair treatment!

This is a great day for the Arab and Muslim world, for Israel, for all the surrounding countries, and for the United States of America.

We thank the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, who worked with us to make this historic and unprecedented event possible. Blessed are the peacemakers!

The two held a very moving and warm conversation, congratulating each other on the historic achievement of signing the agreement for the release of all the hostages.

The Prime Minister thanked President Trump for all his efforts and his global leadership, and President Trump congratulated the Prime Minister on his determined leadership and the actions he led.

They agreed to continue close cooperation between them.

Additionally, the Prime Minister invited President Trump to speak before the Israeli Knesset.

Timeline of the Gaza Deal Implementation

After Trump’s announcement that Israel and Hamas signed the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire plan, here’s how the coming days will unfold:

Thursday (Oct 9)
· 12:00 PM Cairo time — Signing ceremony of the agreement; ceasefire goes into effect on the ground.
· Israel’s security cabinet (5 PM) and government (6 PM) meet to finalize approval.
· Following approval, a 72-hour countdown begins for Hamas to release all living hostages “in one fell swoop,” without public ceremonies.
· Within 24 hours, the IDF will withdraw to the agreed “Yellow Line,” leaving Israel in control of ~53% of Gaza.

Friday: IDF completes its redeployment to the Yellow Line.

Saturday–Monday
· Hostage release expected. Trump hinted “everyone will return on Monday.”
· Trump arrives in Israel Sunday; may address the Knesset.
· Simultaneously, Israel will free ~1,950 Palestinian prisoners, including: 1,700 Gazans detained since Oct 7, 2023 & 250 Palestinians serving life sentences
The deal excludes Hamas’s Nukhba Force members and top commanders like Marwan Barghouti.

By Monday, all living hostages are to be released, Israeli forces redeployed, and the first phase of the Trump plan completed.

As M said yesterday, I pray the Lord is in all of this.

Wow what a roller coaster of events over night!
But I'm waiting with abated breath to see if it will all come out as planned.
The Muslims are notorious untrustworthy.
What carrots and sticks have made them agree?
Any way you look at it, it is a HUGE achievment of team Trump.
Will Trump get the Nobel Peace price?
Will he speak at the Knesset?
Will the hostages truly be released? (Ps. 126:1,2)
And will there be peace and security in Israel?
Not everlasting though, as Trump seems to think.
...
And then ... sudden destruction?


What a moment in history, and we there to watch it!
Our God is amazing. Hallelujah!

Praying for the release of ALL those hostages, living first and then the dead.

Praying for Israel in this, that any ground they have to give back in Gaza will actually be closely guarded by those assigned to do so although I suspect that will require Israel going in again.

The term everlasting peace in this case seems ludicrous, but cliches, slogans, and catch phrases are a big part of the older Trump persona.
