The Night Is Coming

In response to a few people relentlessly asking me to do this, I'm posting my message The Night Is Coming which I preached for First Baptist Church in Springfield during COVID.

It was the first message I ever preached online rather than from a pulpit. I was in the midst of a severe kidney stone attack and was taking hydrocodone for the pain. So my brain was foggy, and my mouth was as dry as a desert. But the Word was preached and, praise God, it accomplished then what He intended it to do.

Anyway, I pray the message does here what it has done elsewhere. May Christians be encouraged and may God be glorified.

Anyone who follows me or likes the things I write and post, I implore you to watch the YouTube video that MattFiveFour posted!!! 👍

Not only was this excellent and relevant when he preached it, but it is even more relevant now!!! The night is coming and just around the corner, one could say it is now dusk!!! Overall I think this is the best most sincere and humble preaching I have ever heard! 😍

I quickly went back to my small town Presbyterian church days and the song "Work For The Night Is Coming", and can almost hear the voices of a few members that have long since stepped off into Eternity.
I remember sitting on the couch with George as we watched online when Adrian preached it the first time. We loved it!

Work while the daylight lasts, night is coming when nobody can work.

Send forth the gospel light, do the great commission while we still can. Spend time with the Lord and His WORD! It's from that relationship that ministry to others comes from. Such a key point that Adrian makes. The Bible is where the chaos we see comes into context. Night is falling fast.

Little time left. Keep an eye on the times, because the chaos around us is screaming that night is coming fast.

This is now the second time you made me cry, the displayer in the grocery store story got to me. 🙂
