The Groom's delay - Tribulation days shortened

Jedidjah

And he said to me, My grace suffices thee
While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. Matthew 25.5

And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Matthew 24.22

How would the Lord Jesus cut short the Tribulation days?

Could he bring it about through the delay?

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:

though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Habakkuk 2:3

I am really interested to read how you understand this.

I understand the parable of the Ten Virgins as those during the Trib who get saved and are waiting for Jesus’ Second Coming (not the church who has already been raptured).

How would the Lord Jesus cut short the Tribulation days?
This idea from Matthew 24:22 comes to my mind often when I recognize God’s intervention in this world. One recent example is how the US big medical associations that overnight reversed their evil support of trans surgeries to suddenly NOT recommending them.

That may not be the best example. I’ll be interested in what others think.

Could he bring it about through the delay?
 Would you mind clarifying this? What are you referring to, “…bring it about…? Do you mean the God uses the time as He tarries to bring the Trib, or is it that as He tarries the time is shortened?

What are you referring to, “…bring it about…?

When I tell you that I will delay my coming, you assume that I will arrive later than planned, or later than you thought I would arrive. My question referred to this delay, whether it could represent a shortening.

Most people assume that the shortening will take place at the end of the tribulation. What if it were shortened at the beginning? If, as you describe, the believers of the tribulation are meant, how are they supposed to determine the count from Daniel? I don't know the answer, so I'm curious how the other siblings understand it.
