Ten virgins

For the first few years I started reading the Bible, I thought they were all brides and thought it was very strange šŸ˜ƒ Like why would Jesus talk about this polygamist? šŸ˜†

From ā€œFootsteps of the Messiahā€ by Arnold Fruchtenbaum, page 365: (he seems to have the same viewpoint as Jack, that these are tribulation survivors, and that the marriage feast is the Messianic Kingdom šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø )
Yes, I have to respectfully disagree then. I just don't see why the parabels would adress different peoplegroups.
Jesus tells them to the same group that stands before him. I think the second parabel expounds on the first.

Agree, it can be fun digging through scripture which is what I do on a regular basis.

There have been many, many days where I have spent hours at a time on forums, and digging through scripture every time a question came up would be all consuming.
Didnā€™t mean to imply you donā€™t study Brother. I didnā€™t realize you meant, just to check on forum questions ā˜ŗļø I think thatā€™s what we all have in common on this and the other forum. We all love the Word. What I really find refreshing about this forum is that we can actually post other teacherā€™s articles. On the other forum it was Jack Kelley, Andy Woods or nobody. Which became sort of weird, like ā€œJack said it, so this is the correct viewpoint. Case closed.ā€ šŸ˜†

That thought never entered my mind.

So do I, and sometimes it works, and other times I'm wrong.
I found something on "meat eating" before the Flood, and it seems I'm rowing up against the main stream.
Going to put it in the Bible question section, to see what the fellowship thinks.

Since I can't imagine mankind not eating meat, and have never studied the point, I look forward to reading anything you come up with. Personally, I can't help but think that if you're raising sheep, there's not lamb chops involved.

It became the Jack Kelley website. There are many "on point" theologians. To me they should only be used to "fact check" ourselves on our own study findings. I tend to go back to where I began studying prophecy decades ago and that is with the man I consider the "father" of eschatology John Walvoord.

I also want to hear what my fellow members have studied and found for themselves deep diving the scriptures. In my opinion you aren't studying the Bible if you are getting all your answers from websites. I love to hear what Andi has found, or what Kaatje is researching today! Who among us has not benefited from the way Margery "connects the dots." To me this is the definition of iron sharpening iron.

Thanks for posting this.

Yes, I know Im guilty for using Jack a few too many times.

There are days when research is not possible for me, because my retaining what I just read does not always stick. Even though my brain can be empty at times :) there is often times no room for anything else. On those days is when I use a source I agree with about 95 percent of the time, which is Jack.

I can remember years ago (2013-2014), when engaging with members on the old Rapture Ready site, I would sit at me desk, bible open, Arnolds ā€œFootsteps of the Messiahā€ open, and a few other sources. I would spend a long time formulating an answer for a forum question, and post away. Now, on most days, my posts are short, to the point, and relying mostly on previous studying.

@Andy C my post was not aimed at you at all. If it seems that way I am sorry. I was remembering the "old place" .

Also the reason I stopped going to Bible studies at my Church's ladies group. The studies only consist of watching a DVD and buying a workbook for $20. That just doesn't work for me.
No, I did not think it was aimed at me, but I aimed it at myself - Guilty.

I also wont participate in any workbook bible study, as I only want to study His Word, verse by verse, chapter by chapter.

One of the reasons why I have always very much disliked ladies groups. Itā€™s as if they think we canā€™t handle anything more than light study and discussion. Insulting. Thankfully Iā€™m now in a church where the ladiesā€™ group leader is dead serious. A few weeks ago we expounded on the meaning, for an hour, on ONE verse. šŸ˜ Some people didnā€™t like it.
