Dec 11 (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin attended a televised flag-raising ceremony on Monday for two nuclear submarines that he said were part of a strategic drive to project Russian naval power.

Putin travelled to the northern city of Severodvinsk to view the vessels, the Krasnoyarsk and Emperor Alexander the Third, at the Sevmash shipbuilding yard.

Putin said both nuclear-powered vessels would soon take up duty in the Pacific, emphasising that they were part of two separate series of submarines that Russia is rolling out.

"We will quantitatively strengthen the combat readiness of the Russian Navy, our naval power in the Arctic, the Far East, the Black Sea, the Baltic Sea, and the Caspian Sea - the most important strategic areas of the world's oceans," he said, flanked by officials and naval officers on an outdoor stage with snowflakes fluttering in the air.

He's doing a lot of bluffing/intimidation tactics recently , i wonder when he might decide to follow through with his threats

I can sadly imagine it now , has the **** off while the song "What a man" is playing in the background LOL
I don't know why????
But suddenly I saw him as a male version of "Bo Derek" at the beach...🤣🤣🤣
If you know which movie I am referring to 🤣🤣
I don't even remember that movie other than the beach scene with that woman running slow motion on the beach with all those beads in her braided hair and saw Putin's face on her body..🤣🤣

Isn't it interesting how so many nations are beating the wardrums, and speaking "big words"?
They show their big BIG muscles, yet, they don't follow up on it.
Russia, Iran, Turkey, and their proxies Hezbollah, Houthies, etc. etc., they are all chomping at the bit.

BUT

Something (someOne) is holding them back until the appointed time.
Soon and soon, my brothers and sisters! :rapture:

He is running for re-election this coming year. Maybe he's sprucing up his "image" for the votes? Phffth 😆🤣
My hunch was correct. He IS "sprucing up his image for re-election" with showing off his nukes.
I Saw this article this morning....

"Putin's purpose served by nuclear warnings as he bids for new term"

The prospect of six more years in power for Russian President Vladimir Putin is likely to mean no let-up in nuclear tensions with the United States, as time runs out on the last remaining treaty that limits the number of warheads each side can deploy.

Putin has boasted since launching his 2022 invasion of Ukraine that Russia has the world's most advanced nuclear arms and said it could wipe out any aggressor.

On Monday, three days after announcing he would stand for re-election in March, he presided at a flag-raising ceremony for two new submarines including the Emperor Alexander III, which last month tested a nuclear-capable Bulava intercontinental ballistic missile.
