Kristi Noem ousted from Homeland Security post amid recent turmoil

Kristi Noem, the former South Dakota congresswoman and governor who has led President Donald Trump’s Department of Homeland Security thus far in his second term, was ousted from her position on Wednesday.

President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that he will nominate Sen. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., to replace Noem, effective March 31.

"The current Secretary, Kristi Noem, who has served us well, and has had numerous and spectacular results (especially on the Border!), will be moving to be Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas, our new Security Initiative in the Western Hemisphere we are announcing on Saturday in Doral, Florida. I thank Kristi for her service at ‘Homeland.’"

Trump said Mullin has done a "tremendous job" in Congress and cited his resume as a former undefeated MMA fighter.

This shield of the Americas sounds interesting. Look forward to hearing more about it.

Sounds like Noem was removed for a $200,000,000 advertising campaign in which she featured majorly. Even as gov'ner she liked to flaunt herself. She made the mistake of indicating that Trump had directly approved it during Congressional testimony when he hadn't...

It sounds like Trump knew and was of no concern regarding the Cory Lewandowski rumors.....I find it gross and immoral but do suppose perhaps that it wasn't a part of the reason.

This may sound silly, but i think it is likely because it was revealed publicly that Trump did not approve. He can't let that be something others think he is ok with.

His cabinet on some levels is concerning. Noem doing that ad could not stop looking at herself in the mirror. And Bondi demonstrated in her hearing that she is kind of spoiled brat attitude. The scriptures told us lovers of self in the end. Those two examples are pretty dang loud. We can see from the craze online, how there is a trend on tiktok for example to really be into one's own beauty. Like off the charts where using the phone for selfies entertains them about themselves. That should kind of seal the deal as to the age we are in....lol.

Its sadder to see it in government where they are suppose to be about others. But they just can't take their eyes off of themselves....lol. I voted for Trump 3 times. I think his policies (for the most part) are better for the country. But it is kind of fun to consider the poetry here. I hope some can see and maybe even enjoy the irony. But Trump is kind of known as being the man most in love with himself poster child. Becomes president of the US. And even in being the most exaggerated version of lover of self, still manages to have policies that perform better and help a country improve over that other party.

From what i have seen over the years, Trump does deeply care about the country. His vision may be clouded. Sometimes i wonder if he is Israel first. Likely he sees putting Israel first as putting America first when looking at how that plays out in social theater. But still, kind of really awkward looking to me. But we kind of have the man most in love with himself leading the most powerful country in world history...and in many instances helping the world.

"Mirror Mirror on the wall, who is the one most in love with himself that fair to help the world best, most of all?"

"Why of course you Sir Trump, of course"

...pssst....I have a secret...come closer...."Trumps mirror is rigged." :p
