U.S. Sends Nimitz, Destroyers, and Refueling Fleet Toward Middle East as Israel-Iran War Intensifies

The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, along with several Navy destroyers, and a surge of military air refueling planes are heading toward the Middle East as Washington strengthens its military posture amid the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.

The Nimitz canceled a scheduled port call in Vietnam and on Monday was transiting the Malacca Strait toward the Indian Ocean, according to Marine Traffic, a ship-tracking site.

President Donald Trump has maintained that the United States will not enter the war between Israel and Iran unless directly attacked. However, he has warned Tehran, “If we are attacked, you will be hit with the full force of the U.S. military.”

The U.S. military has already played a role in defending Israel during this latest flare-up. American air defense systems, including Navy destroyers and ground-based interceptors, helped Israel repel waves of Iranian ballistic missiles launched over the weekend in retaliation for Israeli strikes on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure and senior military leaders.

Fueling speculation of a large-scale U.S. operation, aviation watchers reported that 28 U.S. military refueling planes–often used to support strategic bombers–took off simultaneously from the United States on Monday morning. While some suggested the activity could be linked to a U.S.-Finland military exercise beginning today, experts noted that the aircraft were headed east, toward the Middle East, not north toward Europe.

Online observers and bloggers specializing in military affairs described the scale of refueling operations as highly unusual, prompting theories that the U.S. is preparing for significant action in support of its regional allies.

The Pentagon is also repositioning assets. The Navy destroyer USS Thomas Hudner, equipped to defend against ballistic missiles, is moving from the western Mediterranean toward the eastern Mediterranean. A second destroyer has been ordered to advance and stand ready if needed.

While the USS Carl Vinson remains in the Arabian Sea, the Nimitz could soon join U.S. forces in the Middle East. The USS George Washington, having recently departed Japan, is another potential reinforcement.

This latest buildup recalls U.S. actions following the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attacks on Israel, when President Joe Biden surged forces to the region to deter Hezbollah and Iran. Since then, U.S. warships have repeatedly intercepted missiles fired at Israel, including during major Iranian barrages.

As tensions soar, all eyes are on Washington’s next move as it weighs deterrence and defense amid one of the most dangerous escalations in the region in years.

Does anyone else see this as Tucker Carlson putting words in Ted Cruz’s mouth? It’s a brief preview of an interview where he is trying to basically persuade the public to think our Senators know nothing about Iran.

Yes, Tucker was putting words in Ted Cruz's mouth. But Ted appeared poorly prepared for the interview. The promotional clip was exactly that-- a promotional clip. Don't take it as anything more than that.

However, we are heading into dangerous waters occasioned by the problems with Iran and the need to fix them quickly, either indirectly or (hopefully not) directly. And the danger we face is due to two things, as you'll see.

The first is the transmission of truth during open hostilities. 2500 years ago the Greek dramatist Aeschylus said, "In war, the first casualty is truth," a statement that has been proven over and over and over. And for the past couple or three centuries the mass media have been the main reason that statement is still accurate. The reasons for this all have to do with keeping the public engaged in support for whatever the rulers of the nation are engaged in. As Samuel Johnson wrote back in 1758: "...among the calamities of war may be jointly numbered the diminution of the love of truth, by the falsehoods which interest dictates and credulity encourages."

The second is the state of the MSM. Unfortunately for us, we currently have a complicating factor: namely a mainstream media that is, by and large, sold out to one political faction in America and who is more interested in promoting that political point of view than informing the country, protecting its citizens, or seeking the truth.

Combine those two things and it will be very hard to determine the actual truth of anything from day to day as events unfold. Eventually the truth will out as the historians do their work in the decades to come. But for us now we need to trust that God will help us understand what is really going on and simply trust Him when we can't.

Started by whom you would suspect in the Republican ranks: Thomas Massie, with all of the usual Democrats signing on. I understand their point of view, and believe their positions are genuine. But I also believe they are genuinely wrong. Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons is a very real and extremely dangerous threat to the entire world. And even America's physical isolation by means of two oceans cannot protect it from Iran, a country whose leadership calls America the "Great Satan" and has sworn oaths to destroy her along with the "Little Satan", Israel.
I like Massie. He seems like a stand up politician. He did not go along with "also" sending money to Israel a while back. Which kind of makes sense that we should not. They have their own money though. From what I understand we send $1 billion a year to Israel and Egypt as part of a negotiation way back when they were fighting each other. That kind of makes sense to me. But we send a lot more than that to Israel from what I understand. I don't like Massie to contrast Trump. But sometimes I believe that can be healthy. To me at times Trump can be more of a centrist.

However, on the issue of Iran, I agree pastor. I'm not sure what is worse, that we have reps that would appose that, or the fact that they would not be able to articulate the broader picture as to why. Its like its hidden in the back pocket for some reason. Almost like we got used to partial reasoning as though it were whole. So yeah I agree the concern over Iran nuke potential (especially after Obama gave them so much cash) should be on some sober radar. We are not in Kansas anymore. Amen. Blessings :)

Well, brother, we can read into events and words all that we like. The result is more likely ideas that are heavily colored by our own individual points of view rather than by objective reality.

Personally, I believe we should take Mike Huckabee's words at face value. Knowing his genuine Christian walk, I believe his words are coming from his heart and accurately express his view of the president. And, for the record, I agree with him.
For sure pastor. I would agree with you brother. It is a beautiful sentiment from Mke. Likely the most sober counsel Trump might get, amen. By my montage of words was not meant to downplay what Huckabee said. It just that there is a lot of noise concerning Trump. A lot...lol. And hearing the signal distinguished from the noise is precious and priceless actually. In my mention of an American echoing sentiments out of Israel, I would see them as quite priceless even more. Like something even Israel might say if not under partial hardening. Amen.

I mention what I do with the noise factor because there can be varying views from readers and posters in our forum. At the end of the day, as the dust of noise may clear, there is a signal coming out of Israel, Mike, saying one of the most profound things that could be mentioned along the course of any US presidential administration. 👍

Great to see you about sister. From what i understand about Tucker:

  • Correct on dissing George W's War on Terror
  • Correct on Jan 6th
  • Correct on Ukraine War
  • Correct on many conservative fronts

  • Incorrect on his defense of Andrew Tate (but likely correct about woke European majestrates version of Tate)
  • Incorrect on supporting Doug Wilson and Christian Nationalism
  • Incorrect about highlighting Israel as problematic over Gaza
  • Incorrect on advancing John Rich post tribulation rapture view

I think there is a lot to like about Tucker. But from what I have seen he gets things pretty wrong too. The narrative I would understand Tucker to go after in the Iran affair is concern over the military industrail complex power over media narratives. Since he had changed his take on George W War on Terror from supporting to being shocked into reality over it being a staged escalation. So it would make sense Tucker might have concern on any front involving what to him might look neocon-ish.

In general, I would see this kind of discussion healthy for America to have. There are a lot of variables and moving parts. As a side note, I think it would make sense that a deflated Iran (which is the way it looks things to be going) would "soon-later" to shift power mobility to Russia...for their sense of payback. Some believe Tucker might be controlled opposition. I would just see him as a guy with his own views. Some helpful, some not so much. Thanks for sharing the video. It is a rare capture for sure. Blessings.

Candace brings it up

First of all, I love Candace. I don't track with her on a number of issues. <mod snip> I also respect her stance against Macron. And all that drama.

Candace also supports deeply Andrew Tate. Likely because of her husbands friendship with him. But her interview on that was lacking discretion I believe. Tate is a good social media position against week leftist feminisation of men and countries. There is respect there. But to me Tate really did seem to downplay some of his earlier antics demonstrating the general character of the man. I just see something like Tate as a fixing of anything, similar as problematic in how the left also montra us against real masculinity as though that too was toxic masculinity. And I don't say that leaning left at all. To me liking a Tate pasture of manhood is to me a similar problem we find in the authoritarian church trends in America. Where I would not see that from a leftist sense of "They are just toxic." Expressing that with a limp wrist while saying it. But more like, "Authoritain churches are cowards. Using God to bully the public. Its just sick."

But I would see Candace as a social artifcat of our day. Because she is so well outspoken in ways the country does need to hear. Not everything. But it does need a voice like hers in the mix. She leans Catholic and would downplay dispensational views on Israel. So I'm sure those views plays into her bias. Candace has a very large following, and for the most part I think for good and healthy reason. But there is a bit of toxicity to her overall media genre. Even so, I love a fighter. And beautifully so that she is. I was hoping during the 2020 election they would have gotten rid of Mike Pence and get Candace as VP. That would have been pretty cool. She would redefine that office...lol. That's for sure.

. . . . .

As for Tulsi, well, I did kind of get the feel at times years ago that even though she had some chops, she always came across in ways like a girl scout. Kind of naive in some ways. But I loved her outspokenness on many issues including Syria. In part, psychological since she was a defender of Assad, it would be easy to feed her gummy bear Intel matching. I'm not sure what to think of Assad. But France faked discovering nerve gas to pin it on Assad to justify bombings during Trump 45. I tend to believe Tusli might have been right about Assad. Isis came from our beloved Obama. And Bush brought us Desert Storm. So it just seems natural that Tulsi would believe spies telling her Iran was not building nukes. I would feel after that they'd say, "Can we offer you cookies and milk, Tusli?"

In a situation like this I believe it is good to be reminded that when Trump came in as 45, he would not be briefed by Intel. Because he knew they were deep state. There to throw him off his game. I believe instead he got his Intel from the military. "Spies" is pretty general. And likely influenced by legacy deep state generations of influence. It might be that Iran, like Ukraine, is a deep state money laundering operation. And the regime in power there, as deep state (globalist) puppets. That would make a lot of sense of why Obama sent them what was it $100 billion in cash on pallets. Untraceable and a favorite pass time for American politics would be to send pork money overseas to launder it back to themselves. In that sense it would make a lot of sense how Iran could be a globalist money laundering center.

We know North Korea was taunted by CIA and globalist operatives because North Korea hated dealing with Pompoe. And would not trust the USA because of our famed passtime of regime change. Probably why North Korea liked Trump, because he was not going to just kill and replace a government he did not like. So I would say putting the pieces together slowly is likely perhaps a reasonable approach here.

<mod snip>

Aside from a middle east war I believe will not be what occurs, I think and recommend checking Candace out frequently. For what she is, America does benefit greatly from her free-range voice and passion. And when she is right, she is "scary" right. And since she can be and has been, she will on be, on some issues forthcoming. I don't believe one of those being the middle east and Trump. But she has a voice at the table that is important. Bless her heart for standing down Ben Shaprio and the Daily Wire. America needs that kind of backbone. Amen. Hope this is somewhat consideration worthy. Always a pleasure to check out your posts dear sister. Blessings.

Fascinating hisotry.

  • Massachusetss Bay Colony Charter 1629 -- granted significant self governing rights
  • Massachusetss Charter 1691 -- merged with Plymouth colony charter
  • the Glorious Revolution (in England) 1668 -- shifting power from sole monarchy to parliament share
  • the Boston Massacre 1770
  • the first continental Congress 1774
  • the split of rule king George III and parliament led to this conclusion:
Ultimately, a Lack of Consensus:
The conflict ultimately led to war, as neither the King nor Parliament were able to find a satisfactory way to address the colonists' grievances and maintain British control,
Thank you so much Teren, I loved your entire post :book:

:thankyou:

She’s very compromised at times. I watched her years ago when Dennis Prager was featuring her and her manner of truthfulness with a frank delivery has not grown in a good way. She started out with some humility but grew into a steely over-confident self promoter.
Candace and Tucker both appear anti Israel, and I would not give either one even a few minutes of my time listening to them blather on, reaching their goal of self promotion in lieu of facts.

Just listened to Amir's latest update and he believes that the B 52s are definitely loaded and either enroute or about to be. Yes, I'm well aware that sometimes he is wrong but just updating on what he has said.
We are fortunate to have Amir, one of our own, at ground zero Israel. Amen. One of our own 🙏 Although I have tended to visit Amir takes as the Christian perspective coming from Israel (as I am more familiar with his ministry) more so than other Israeli takes, there is perhaps a helpful augment channel that might be of interest as well. It's called: The Israel Guys on YouTube.

THEIR THEME
This is our primary channel on YouTube where you can find insightful commentary from a Biblical perspective all about the land and people of Israel. Welcome to The Israel Guys Media, where our passion for Israel runs deep and our commitment to sharing the true and authentic stories of the Holy Land knows no bounds! The Israel Guys is a pro-Israel media initiative started by HaYovel, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing Christian volunteers from around the world Israel to serve, bless, and strengthen the Jewish people.

I would think our military is positioning themselves and are ready and just waiting for the Commander in Chief to give them the order to begin attacks and is why there's been an increased deployment of more ships and aircraft to the ME over the past couple of days
