Is the RAPTURE Really This Month? The Bible’s Timeline Is Shocking

It'd be nice if the Rapture was this fall. Or the next second or minute or day or week or month or year. I've been waiting for most of my life. 55 years ago next Friday my mother died. I was 14.

A little before she died she took me aside and explained the Rapture again, pointing to 1 Thess 4:13-18 So I think I've been expecting the Rapture for just over 55 years now.

From that time forward I've been looking for and expecting the Rapture. She explained it could be at any moment. She explained that I was to live each day as if I had to prepare for a lifetime here on earth, but to ALSO live each day expecting the Rapture at any moment.

She gave me a bible, and a copy of Hal Lindsay's Late Great Planet Earth that summer and I clung to the hope of the Rapture in the months of grief to follow. The Blessed Hope.

Time passed, but I kept looking forward to the Rapture.

I still cling to it. I still look forward to it. There's been more than one person shake the Christian world with a date that seemed like a sure thing. But the day after each of these dates came and went. Each time I'd hope they were right ---but part of me said --Just wait on the Lord. His timing is perfect.

This last January one of my nephews phoned to tell me he gave his heart to the Lord and he and his wife are living for Christ.

I've been praying for him (and his 5 siblings) since they were born (actually as soon as my sister told me she was expecting again). He just turned 38 or 39 so I've been praying for his salvation for almost 40 years.

I'm sure glad the Lord allowed him to come to salvation in January. Still praying for the others.

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.


One day soon I'll be reunited with George and my mother when the Lord comes for us and till then I'll keep praying for those beloved ones who are still lost. One more day, one more chance.

I'm sick and tired of this world and it's sin. I miss George dreadfully! But I'm hopeful to see a few more saved before we go up.

Any minute now.... till then I'll work and pray to see another one or more saved.

Jesus said its natural unconverted mankind that does look to a sign before they believe or exercise "faith" Hearing the understanding coming from God as it is written (sola scriptura).

The last chapter in the book of prophecy (Revelation) in the first verse it sets the interpreting key .

Not only did he send it but he signified it .called Hidden Manna in 2:17. The language or tongue of parables Hiding the understnding from Satan who is not subject to salvation. It's a wonder to him that he will never know the end of

Why wonder when Christ has given us his living abiding word in its entirety?

The first three parables using the word "thousand" to represent an unknown set the stage the other three in chapter 20 of Revelation. The spiritual unseen does not become the literal seen in Revelation.

In that way parables do not change the simplicity of the gospel (Christ saves sinners pouring out his spirit life in jeopardy of his own Spirt on dying flesh but do enrich like honey

As one day not is one day .

Many times, in parables the word "thousand" is used to define an unknown. No signs were given to wonder after.

So my point being that we are now given more insight than ever before as to when the Rapture will be. Not the day or hour, but the season. We are now in the season! I think most mature Christians believe that.

So am I making the case that we will get Raptured this September? No, that is not what I am saying. What I am saying is that even though there have been many, many predictions as to when the Rapture would happen in the past that have failed, we were not in the season at that time. So the chances of us knowing when the Rapture will be now that we are in the season are much, much greater. So to me there is a very good chance that the Rapture will happen this September.

Should this be the case, I believe we will become more assured of this every day from now on. So I would suggest that we should just be open to and aware of what God might be telling or showing us. In other words, what is God telling or showing you personally? We should not be relying only on videos or what others have to say. What is God telling or showing you? I say this as God will not force you to believe, you must be open to his leading.

Sure what you stated could be argued but what I am saying is to let God show you personally, just like how you got saved. You were open to God and then he showed you he was real. I submit that the same is true with when the Rapture will be. If you are open to it, God will show you. He has shown many Christians already. He has not shown me for sure that this September is the time, but has led me to see some things that make me believe that it is likely.

So what I say to everyone, is to trust God to let you know personally what is true regarding the Rapture and when it might be. The same way we should be trusting God for his leading in everything in our lives. The Bible states many, many times not to trust man. Is does not say not to listen to what men have to say, just not to trust them to be 100 percent correct. God is the only one that can give us absolute truth!

Let me just go on record and say I do believe that the Rapture will happen this year.

Not because of what anyone else says, but between the signs which we are told to look for which are all around us and just a feeling that I have. Now of course what I believe could be wrong, so I am not trying to convince anyone else to believe it. However if someone does already believe it like some other Christians I know, I just want them to know I believe it also.

I don't believe it as a fact though. So everyone please take what I have said with a grain of salt. Case in point, I just renewed my car registration yesterday for two years. Why not just one? Because as I have stated while I believe the Rapture will happen this year, I am not positive that it will.

I know you aren’t setting a date. I do think many others before thought they were in the season just like we might be convinced we are too.

I would love to be raptured today, but I’m also expecting we only know so much of prophecy and could end up seeing more in the years to come that never would have made sense to us today. In hindsight, we would all say “Of course we weren’t in the season like we thought, duh! Now we are!” Lol

I understand where you are coming from and it is a good point that you make. However I never said that we should go outside of God's Word. In fact, I have stressed that same point you are making myself!

What does God's Word say about the Rapture? It says we should watch which is just what I do. I am not at all suggesting that anyone should just go by whatever feelings they have. To be clear, when I say let God speak to you personally I am not saying a voice in your head. God mostly speaks to us through the Bible. When I say personally, I am just saying not to just listen to any Tom, Dick and Harry for our beliefs, as we cannot trust man.

That we really don't know. We do know the shepherds were in the fields at night, typically the shepherds would not be in the fields at night in winter so there is a definite possibility that his birth was actually in September on one of the fall feasts.
The following is from Google but I have heard and read it elsewhere for many years.

I love this post for a few reasons. First, that just because the Bible does not state the birthdate of Jesus does not mean He was not born on a Jewish Holy Day. I agree with that. But since it is not made clear, if true, it may not have helpful insight for us even if we knew. Otherwise it would have been made clear, I believe. However, on that note there is something else related. Michael Heiser. Now, for the record, I have liked Heiser not for what he is known for. But for his views on the following:

• The bronze serpent on the pole
• Naaman the leper
• The birth date of Christ

The last being the most potentially sketchy. But fascinating to consider none the less. But before I present that, I would like to say that the things I don't concur with regarding Heiser, are the following:

Although I would say what I liked about what he is known for is that he did demonstrate that church fathers were divided over whether or not to include the book of Enoch into the canon. There was disagreement. But it was not contentious. Perhaps a lesson for our day.

Regarding the birth of Jesus, Heiser did a video about the potential birth date of Christ. He uses ancient Israeli concept of Mazzarot (not astrology but a form of archaic astronomy), to consider the birth date of Jesus. Although I am not overly confident this is correct, I found it fascinating that Heiser uses Revelation 12 to do so to consider the birth date of Christ. Correlating in my mind the church rapture with Rev 12 (which Heiser does not do, nor does he have a position on the Rev 12 sign as a rapture consideration--In fact, he would tie Rev 12 to the old testament and be much more inclined to side with those who view it as analogy proper and not literal and possibly not all that prophetic). So yeah, it is an odd mix by which I use Heiser here...lol.

Another reason I like your post is how you view that we did come to celebrate Jesus birthday as Dec 25th. That historically, the church barrowed a pagan day and swapped it out. Likely (mine) as a way to evangelize. Why I find this rendering helpful is because we kind of have almost an opposite trajectory today in how we view holidays or the kind of tension we exercise concerning the influence of the occult. It is very popular today to look at many events as attesting to paganism. We see for example the UN's interest in Mother Earth Day. Or their take on the 10 commandments as 10 principles. Or, for example, the Statue of Liberty being a pagan goddess. Or America founded upon Freemasonry. No doubt there are some connotations that relate. But from some extensive research, it would almost seem that Christendom is on a "crusade" to prove all things demonic. Similar, in my estimation, in how the Jehovah's Witnesses for similar reasons won't celebrate holidays and birthdays. So it is just really refreshing to be reminded in our day that there was a Christian heartbeat once upon a time that would not be spooked by what the pagans are doing, but use it for evangelism. Which is closer in ways in which I would see how as believers we have overcome the world. Amen.

For the most part I agree with how you have shared here. But the question does arise: "If the spirit brought you to consider Sept 23/24 as a potential rapture time, and it turns out not to be, what is it that the spirit has led you to, then, though?" I don't mean that as a way to quench the spirit. My answer might be different than your answer on that. But the way I would answer something like that would be: "If the spirit led me to consider something that ultimately did not occur, it might be my sense upon why I might have seen things in this way or that way to mean the rapture will happen." Whereas, there may be things the spirit allows us to see about something but for other reasons than what we might give it.

For example brother, I do believe that 2017 was the Rev 12 sign. Now of course I could be mistaken. And I am fluid in that view being incorrect. But I really have not seen anything to discredit that view though I have diligently sought for that. But what we have seen since seems to give us rather plenty of reasons that it certainly might have been. One tell, in my estimation, back in the day was that Answers In Genesis came against the Rev 12 sign as being what occured in 2017. It is not their coming against it that was a tell. It was the arguments they used to disprove it. Which to me amounted to high school level arguments that are used in the flesh to defend young and inexperienced ego. It was at that time that I first started to consider how Laodicean like the church proper in our day might be. That such learned and devoted men would lose sight of their calling, and allow some self importance of their ministry to define themselves. It was actually quite a creepy experience...lol.

That in and of itself does not mean that Answers In Genesis were necessarily wrong. They could be right even having horrific logic. But it made me go: "Hmmm, could it be in our age that the church can tend to be a bit full of itself?" lol. And then the last 8 years occured where we see that sense very pungently alive in so many theaters of our day. But I bring all that drama up to underscore that even though I thought I would be raptured on 9-23-2017, and wasn't, that I believe the spirit was allowing me to see quite a bit more.

• That the Book or Revelation is Likely Written in Modular Narrative (a writing style that did not come into existence until the 1800s)

I could go on, but I think that kind of makes the point in what way I might answer something like I am asking of you. But those are my ways to process. You said a lot which for me is a bit confusing. Not at all saying what you stated was in itself confusing, it was just somewhat confusing to me. So I will just try my best to respond to what you asked at the end.

Let me first tell you what I experienced when the Rapture did not happen in 2024. At that time I was dealing with a good friend that desperately needed hope as she was severely depressed! I mean she could hardly even get out of bed. When her and I discussed the Rapture and the signs, we both thought the Rapture would happen some time that year which gave her and I a lot of hope At that time while I was not severely depressed, the hope of the Rapture that year helped me find at least some joy.

So when the Rapture did not happen I was disappointed, but not depressed. You see the thought that it would, had kept me positive all that year which was a good thing. So I ended up just hoping it would be the next year. My good friend that was so depressed said the same thing, which was maybe next year. What is my point? I believe God allowed me (not told me) to believe what I did to help both my friend and I make it through 2024 without being too depressed. Remember at that time Biden was president! LOL!

So back to your question. Even if the Rapture does not happen in September I have learned a lot from the video I posted and will just look for the Rapture in the near future.

Date setting in the sense that the rapture is definitely going to happen on a certain date has never been my thing and I have been watching for 60+ years. Still I do like looking at high watch days or this or that might be a good possibility because it gives hope and encouragement. If the date goes by, no big let down, just continuing to look up and watch.

Jesus compared the signs in Matthew 24 to a woman's labor pains and we all know that once true labor begins, the pains come more closely together and are stronger. Those things He mentioned in Matthew 24 are definitely coming very closely together and more strongly such as more severe earthquakes, famines, wars and the like. Because of these things, I like the video Goodboy posted as it is encouraging. Maybe the date will just go by, if so, I will just keep trusting and waiting for my Lord Jesus.

I did a wordstudy on watchman, watcher in scripture and made some interesting connections.

The prophet is a watchman over Israel for my God....

Hosea 9:8


A watchman on the wall in Israel typically was to warn of incoming danger to a nation. Spiritually, a watchman of Israel announced or shared God's Word with the nation.

Could it be that the Church functions as a watchman of sorts through the sharing the Word of prophecy, that is the Words of Jesus from scripture as warning to the World?

The Church, sharing what she sees clearly in God's Word in regards to the impending judgement to come and the need to repent now and place faith in Jesus for salvation from that judgement?

The Church clearly sees what the world is either refusing to believe or fully comprehend.

Therefore the Church is not in the dark but when judgement starts as Revelation describes, the world will be taken by surprise.

Until then, is not the Church reflecting Jesus' light in the World and in a sense acting as watchmen to warn and share how to be saved through faith in Jesus?

Jesus compared the signs in Matthew 24 to a woman's labor pains and we all know that once true labor begins, the pains come more closely together and are stronger. Those things He mentioned in Matthew 24 are definitely coming very closely together and more strongly such as more severe earthquakes, famines, wars and the like. Because of these things, I like the video Goodboy posted as it is encouraging. Maybe the date will just go by, if so, I will just keep trusting and waiting for my Lord Jesus.

I could not have stated what you did quite as well, but it is exactly my thoughts. All of the Rapture expectations over the last 40 years or so have just kept me hoping. When one fails I place my hope on the next one. I have never changed my life because I expected the Rapture to happen or because the Rapture did not happen when I hoped.

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
