Interesting video from MonkeyWerx today

When Stuff Gets Crazy LOOK UP! Maranatha!
Staff member
I've started watching MonkeyWerx on the recommendation of Pete Garcia a few months back. I don't understand half of what he's talking about - I think military people would understand it but today I DID understand it.

He was talking about ships and troops building up in Japan and Taiwan as well as areas near Russia and of course the Middle East. special attention to the choke points around the world including the Panama Canal which China tried to take over a few years back. I'm still concerned about how much they've been able to move into the major ports in Los Angeles and Vancouver Canada.

It was interesting to see that side of things although I'm still not sure of the implications of what I think he said. I don't understand enough of that side of things- how good is he in his analysis from you veterans here?

I've seen a few of his vids, he does a lot of military stuff and also does some on the conspiracies of the elites

I'm also wondering that when China does decide to get involved in Taiwan, whether that will temporarily cause distractions on what is going on in the middle east ?

Or maybe the other way around . . . it may be that while US, etc. are eyeball-deep in alligators in the Middle East that China takes advantage, and Russia USSR takes advantage.

Wonder if openly stated political considerations for stopping shipments to Israel is to cover-up concerns about military weakness/stretched too thin, production shortfalls/issues, or dwindling stockpiles?

FWIW, I don't know anything about MonkeyWerx, so will have to look at it before I comment.

I would not put a lot of stock in what that man says. He tries to come off as a military expert but never made it more than a few years in the service if I am correct. He comes from the QAnon times and was all big in making a name for himself selling his so called expertise to feed the QAnon junkies on fear <mod delete> and Trump worship. Once Trump turned and walked away from the 2020 election and did nothing to fight the theft he was left with no place to go. After a short while a lot of Christian nationalist started showing up so he claimed to have been saved( maybe yes, maybe no) and started connecting up with many of the lay ministers all over YT. Once he found he had a new following which he lost a massive number after Biden took office and he lost a large part of his YT income he had to find a new base to suck money out of.

He made his claim to fame in the Trump days supposedly tracking flights to Gitmo like they probably had swamp dwellers on there going to military tribunal. Sadly the QAnon fanatics ate his stuff because any large movement was always we were going to war or the Feds were going after the swamp folks. Never was some large movement of transport a simple rotation troops from the US to out of the country which is an on going occurence for several decades now. Also when say one of the dooms day birds or a B1 was up it was never a test flight after maintenance it was always the government spying on us or we were going to war.

He is typical of the old rag newspapers of old that always sensationalized their head lines to sell more papers as none of his predictions have ever come true.

As for build up in Japan with the Navy that has more to do with ships sent to train and work more closely with the Japanese Navy something they only started recently but do heavily now. As for other troop movements in and out of Japan, Okinawa, and South Korea those are regular occurrences. When I first got to Japan in early '77 we had a home based pair of squadrons and a detachment that never left. By the end of 1978 the Marine Corps had started up the idea of instead of shipping only troops out of country shipping entire squadrons so they would be better practice for a time of war. So since that time the Marine Corps has rotated squadrons from NC, SC, west coast, and Hawaii. Those that came from the east coast stayed for a year and those from the west coast and Hawaii stayed for 6 months. They still do that to some degree as my old base has been home for F18s, F35s and V22 Ospreys. Also there have been some changes to the Navy as they shut down their facilities at Atsugi outside of Tokyo and moved their planes down to my old base Iwakuni. So my old base is no longer a single Marine Air Station but a joint base set up with both Navy and Marine planes and the always Japanese subsearcher planes.

How do I know he is blowing smoke? Easy my Dad was retire USAF. Post WWII as a crew chief they often flew around the country, stay a few days here or there and then back home. They also did that out of the country to Europe as well. Some flights were training flights for new crew members others were just long haul test hops after major maintenance. Also as I was in logistics and responsible for something called NORS parts those thing that kept a plane on the ground I had to call around the world to locate parts that were needed and arranged to have them shipped to us in Japan. They would travel on transports that were always moving all manner of goods such as food for the cafeterias on base to personal supplies(uniforms and equipment) to plane parts for use ground equipment parts for the Army in South Korea and helicopter parts for the Marines in Okinawa. Those flights are regular flights that happen several times a week going into and out of various places. Yet when he sees them he always claims they are up to some kind of worrisome activity. I know of these many regular flights because in the military if you wish to travel on leave and don't want to pay for air fare you can fly Space A(available), something I did quite a bit when I was in active service and something I did more when I was in the reserves. Every flight I few on was either a medical aircraft or a transport or a tanker with the refuel tanks removed and configured as a transport. So if I look at the ADS-b online map and see a typical refuel type plane say a KC135 or a KC10 I have no way of know if it is doing transport work, refueling work, or post maintenance test hop and neither does he as he is located in Texas and such flights happen all over the US especially where pilots train to become pilots as they need to be able to do inflight refueling.

Seriously, if you want to buy into his malarky that is ok but if you are looking for honest information stay away from him. He is not about truth, he is about making money of YT and selling his merch because he has no day job that I have ever seen since the days of QAnon.

Thank you. I appreciate that.

FWIW I don't buy into any one particular point of view, and I'm a skeptic at the best of times. I like multiple sources of information. I think he and several others like him add value and an interesting take on things and the only thing I'm not skeptical of is the Bible.

I do give credence to some of his info while other things it's interesting to hear but the jury is out so to speak. Like the other sources I listen to. Including people I disagree with because I don't like living in an echo chamber of opinions. I listen to Calvinists occasionally for example because they can have some really good reasons why apostasy is happening even if I don't agree with their theology one bit.

It is helpful to know what others think about things even if it's only to understand why I disagree with them more fully. When I rebut an opinion from others, I often learn more about why I have the opinion I hold and it's value.

It's like a good coffee blend. From more than one source to create a well rounded brew. speaking of which my 3rd and final cup is ready.

Your call. As I said he is a big fake. I did a lot of research on him some years back. He is good with words and reading his bio sounds like he might know what he is talking about but when I dug I was able to see he worded things without saying them directly so people would likely think he was more than he was. It all started with his old QAnon days avatar of him dressed up like he was some kind of Special Forces guy. But a closer look show he had civilian gear on, civilian clothes and only his hair cut was done to mimic a number of pictures of actual SF guys. He is what many vets call stolen valor people. But hey your call. I just warn people so they don't get caught up in is lies.

I just wish people would stop sensationalizing stuff, blowing stuff all out of proportion, scaring people, and just tell the truth. And be clear about what is fact, what is conjecture, what is analysis, and what is editorial. And be clear about what they don't know. Especially if it might be important and helpful to clarify or explain what they said.

It is the nature of the evil world we live in. Even people we might consider good which none of us fall into the trap never seeing the harm they do. Some don't care as they are about the fame and fortune. It has become a common theme among online presences these days.

We need to be discerning and avoid sensationalism. I find fault in both the creator and the viewer. We get to choose what we watch and listen to. The more we're in the Word, the faster we'll see what's hyped up and what's Truth.

I agree. That said, I would rather have a full range of opinion and input --even though some may be false-- and use my intelligence under the guidance of the Holy Spirit to discern what is correct, then to have the material censored. Censorship is far too dangerous. I trust God to guide me.

Exactly! Censorship is too dangerous and a slippery slope that will ultimately lead to Christians being censored.

Not censoring just warning of false teachers and prophets in a sense. Just like I would warn people about Joel Osteen as a false teacher. I am just warning that his so called expertise on military aircraft is not what he claims it to be as well as pointing out how he ended up with a number of lay Christian ministers on YT. He is playing to a crowd for the sake of money not unlike the likes of Osteen or Benny Hinn or Kenneth Copeland. Anybody can watch what ever they want. I am just giving a heads up that what you see is not necessarily what you are getting. I am only the messenger.

Warnings are good. I wanted a military take, preferably from more than one military person. A fact based critique. I appreciate that aspect very much. I had already discounted some of his stuff as hyperbole, but other things I waited to see if they were true and they were. So he's a mixed bag as it were. Like a lot of information out there- it needs discernment. Or as the old saying goes, even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

The concern with shipping was based on choke points - which is something I am aware of as a long term Chinese strategy with ports. I don't know if you are aware that China has been buying up ports around the globe (a recent attempt in Israel actually) which relates to it's long term economic strategy under the Belt and Road initiative. It has military aspects. They were involved in a lot of Panama stuff (I picked this up 2 decades ago in fact) and when Monkey mentioned it, it clicked with stuff I already knew.

His observations simply lined up with things I've been paying attention to for decades.

His point in the video I watched back last spring was simply about the naval buildup around the Chinese waters on all sides as the aggression by China towards Taiwan was spiking at the time. And the speed at which ships from the east coast of the US to the west could move if China pulled a stunt in the Panama.

I don't see him as a false prophet, or any kind of prophet. I didn't watch him during the worst of the QAnon years. In fact I was dismayed at people I thought were discerning (and who still are good) falling for some of the QAnon stuff without realizing it was propaganda from the same globalists who had infiltrated the Left, only this was their way of controlling the narrative on the Right. If I were to toss out everyone I caught swallowing a Q lie from that time, it might be slim pickings now. Hopefully they've learned from the evils of Q.

However as to his motives whether after money, fame etc I will NOT judge because those are in the heart and between him and God. I don't know if his salvation is true or not, anymore than I can tell anyone's salvation. That remains between him and God. I'm not his judge nor will I try.

What I usually do when listening to someone is try to get where they are coming from- world view, theological foundations and their ability to balance things out. Then I'm more able to judge whether their passion for a secret hidden Antarctic base for aliens taking over the planet is coming from bad science, a passion for Xfiles, a theologically "diverse" point of view, psychiatric disorders or just an addiction to crackpot YTubers. Hopefully you aren't passionately attached to secret Antarctic bases or I've really blown it now!

I slowly build a case for or against someone based on past performance and measurable stuff. By measurable I mean if they make Biblical claims, how do those claims stack up with scripture. If they make geopolitical claims, how do those claims stack up with the evidence.

First of all, I am very familiar with what is going on with China and the west and SW Pacific. Hopefully I am headed to my retirement home there next year. Additionally I have children of very close friends in both Okinawa and South Korea so I watch that like a hawk. I am also quite familiar with China's attempt to pull of a US spread of their bases around the world and there attempt at full control of the Panama Canal.

As for MonkeyWerx he was originally under the name of milspecops Monkey. That was along side his avatar image at that time as seen still on his GAB page. MilSpecOpsMonkey (@MilspecOpsMonkey) · Gab.com. In this he is dressed similar to a more familiar image seen on the internet seen here, https://us-browse.startpage.com/av/...dc8cddde0e9b251cc8ead320f9f2895dfed365c1b3f68

From early on the first thing that caught my eye was his avatar. It was familiar and I traced it to the second image I linked. Looking closely at his avatar I realize all the gear he is wearing is civilian versions of popular military gear and he was holding pistol with shot gun shells in the shell loops. Such things are common by those doing role playing things and dressing up for it. Next came his chosen name milspec ops Monkey. So I am very familiar with the term milspec as I was a logistic man in the military and research parts often times I needed to know the milspec or military specifications of a part. But for the non military the see things differently. The see the mil and the spec but don't realize they go together. What they are familiar spec ops meaning special operations as in SEALs, Green Beret, and Delta types. I Sent the picture of his avatar to a man I once worked for an actual Green Beret from Vietnam days. He confirmed that the gear was not real military and the guy in the picture looked like a dufus. When I started digging into him and trying to match things to his bio I was finding that things did not match up. His claims while at times were not false in fact there was a lot of exaggeration going on, like a garbage man calling himself a sanitation engineer. Then there was the fact that when QAnon dried up he dumped his channels from that time where he went by the name milspec Ops Monkey and changed over to MonkeyWerx. I did another check at that time and found many former military lambasting him. Some of them I reached out to and asked their work in the service so I could likely know if what they were saying was legit and matched to what I already found out. About 85% were legit because talkign with vets we tend to know who is real and who is not, who is honest about their work in the service and who is fudging because their job does not sound glamorous.

Lastly it was his insistence on using a lot of military lingo instead of common terms, something fakers tend to do a lot to sound like they are more than they are. Generally most vets I know and know me we rarely use military lingo in our discussions except if we are talking about some piece of equipment for which there is no normal word in plain English for that. So there were a lot of signs he was nothing of what he implied with his internet name and his old avatar. He is basically a faker who lives off what he makes on YT, Patreon, and his merch store. Knowing a little of how much time it takes to put a decent YT video out it became obvious that he like so many others out there he spends more time in front of a camera and a computer than he does actually doing what he implies he is familiar with. Like so many others looking for their niche some being citizen journalist one who comes to mind is a guy by the name of Marfoogle they often create stories out of thin air based on something they generally have no idea what it is.

But what was really bad was when he changed over and was fast to connect up with a bunch of lay ministers with YT channels, people he probably met via QAnon. Prior to that he appeared to have no interest in the things of God and suddenly when Christian Nationalism started to grow he was all over it because he had lost so many followers following the fall of the QAnon site. Hence my much disdain for his stolen valor which is basically saying he is a liar and then the sudden getting religion because he had lost a lot of income after QAnon I am extremely leary as to what his motives really are. Mainly because he blows a lot of smoke when talking about is "sitrep" another military term meant to make him sound important, and what planes that can be seen on ADS-B trackign sites or the paid for apps he uses. They mean absolutely very little to the reality of what they are doing. While it does appear he may have spent a little time in the AF I am farily confident he was not air crew nor did any flying.

As for Antarctica and secret bases there no I am not a fanatic that there are secret bases there. There are scientific out post set up by several countries where various professors and scientist go during the Antarctic summer to do their studies. This I know is legit because I met one of the Coast Guard officers of one their cutters that take those people down to Antarctica when my son was still in middle school. Turns out that CG officer had a daughter in the same school as my son. So that is real but there are not secret bases and no Adm. Byrd did not go down into some kind of whole in the ground leading to some kind of inner earth. So McMurdo station is real, it does exist but it is no secret. Yes I do chase a lot of conspiracy theories but not because I believe them but because they have become so prevalent on the internet in various platforms that I also used to hear from young people in my office before I retired. Those always made for interesting reading but also interesting understanding of how easy people are deceived these days via the internet. Sadly I had some older folk that fell for a lot of that stuff as well. But it explained the mindset of various groups.

We are definitely in the time Jesus warned us of not to allow ourselves to be deceived and that deception is rampant in the world. Shoot at the time of QAnon it got so bad there QAnon people in Japan and several European countries that thougth Trump was the world's savior. It was insane how much that stuff spread all over the world and still does for other conspiracy theories still out there. This is also why so many people even young people who are considered tech savvy get caught up in scams on the internet. They don't have any real discernment and don't realize there are some very mean and nasty people out there who would sell their mother for a few coins.

Finally since the word censorship has been brought up. I am not about censoring anyone. I really don't care who watches who, who follows who. I only, if I see a name of a really bad faker sound the warning. After that I have done my job, I was on the wall and warned of the danger. The rest is up to those talking about this faker or that faker. I am not in this world to save anyone but I can warn when the wolf shows up all nicely dressed up looking like the sheep that it is not what it claims to be.

Thank you for taking the time to share the backstory leading to your concern. It helps to be warned.
