Hamas accepts Trump peace plan ending 2 years of war

Andy C

Well-known
Hamas has agreed to a peace deal pushed by President Donald Trump to end the war in Gaza and return the hostages, two years after the terrorist network attacked Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, sparking not only the bloodiest day for Jews since the Holocaust, but a deadly war and a humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

Trump took to Truth Social on Wednesday to make the announcement: "I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have both signed off on the first Phase of our Peace Plan. This means that ALL of the Hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw their Troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a Strong, Durable, and Everlasting Peace. All Parties will be treated fairly! This is a GREAT Day for the Arab and Muslim World, Israel, all surrounding Nations, and the United States of America, and we thank the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, who worked with us to make this Historic and Unprecedented Event happen. BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS!"

Shortly after Trump's announcement, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office put out a statement from the Israeli leader that said, "With God's help we will bring them all home."

To secure the release of the hostages this is probably the only option. To think peace will come because of this is not realistic. We can only hope and pray. There have multiple offers of peace over the years, Israel has given in time after time hoping for peace and gotten nothing except more terrorism. I want to be optimistic but...

Officials in Israel confirmed on Thursday that an international task force led by Israel will be established in order to locate the bodies of hostages who are not found in the coming days as part of the ceasefire agreement.

The force will be established in cooperation with the United States, Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, the Red Cross, and other parties. However, the goal is clear: to return as many deceased hostages as possible to Israel, together with the living hostages, within 72 hours.

A source familiar with the details explained the need for such a force and told i24NEWS that "it will provide heavy equipment if it turns out, for example, that there is a need to dig and demolish buildings in order to reach the bodies of casualties."

The identification of the deceased hostages will, as of now, rely on the Abu Kabir Institute of Forensic Medicine, as was done in previous releases, and if necessary, they will be transferred to the Shura camp.

Praying for the living hostages to be released without further delay!

And the identification of the deceased, hoping and praying that problems such as happened with the mother of the 2 little boys isn't repeated, where they sent the body of a Gazan woman in her place, only releasing the real body reluctantly when their deception was uncovered by Israeli forensics.

According to what I am reading and watching on I-24 all living hostages are to be returned by Sunday evening. I pray we at least get that accomplished before this goes south. The bodies of the Sinwar brothers will NOT be handed over to Hamas. Barghouti will not be released.

Israel is preparing for receiving 20 living hostages.
I hate what I am typing right now...Hostage release is now Monday or Tuesday...Not Sunday evening as originally reported by I-24 news.

US President Donald Trump held a Cabinet meeting today (Thursday) following the signing of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Hamas terrorist organization that will see all of the remaining hostages released by early next week.

At the start of the Cabinet meeting, Trump addressed the ceasefire agreement. "As you know, last night we reached a momentous breakthrough in the Middle East ... we ended the war in Gaza, and on a much bigger basis, created peace."

"We secured the release of all of the remaining hostages, and they should be released on Monday or Tuesday," he added. "Getting them is a complicated process - I'd rather not tell you what they have to do to get them."

Difficult to find much. Israeli Times reports that five Hamas members attacked an Israeli like outpost trying to kidnap an Israeli soldier and Israel went after them killing three....... two others escaped. That little tidbit is all I could find. Meanwhile, everything else is still touting Trump's ceasefire????????

Its Trumps plan that Israel agreed to. So its really Israels ceasefire, not Trump. We dont have troops there, nor do we control troops. Hamas has no real battlefield communication, and some isolated fighters may not have a clue as to the ceasefire.
