Federal Headship and Original Sin

Sorry, Quantrill, I don't understand your argument. It stands to reason that the ones who need to be saved are the lost. If they weren't lost, they wouldn't need to be saved. Now, since the Bible concludes all human beings under the penalty of sin, then it follows that all must be lost, and, if so, all need to be saved.

All human beings are fallen and under the penalty of sin. But only those that are of God are the lost. Lost speaks to previous ownership. (Luke 15:6) (Luke 15:8) Note that the sheep was still a sheep though lost. ('I have found my sheep which was lost') And the coin would be found. ('till she find it')

Just because all need to be saved doesn't mean they are all lost. All are on the road to hell. But all are not lost.

No, I haven't read it. I will though. I do hold to 'original sin' and 'federal headship'. But I reject the idea that we are born-again first and then believe. And I reject the 'limited atonement' doctrine.

The atonement, the blood of Christ, is not limited in it's capacity to save, for Christ died for all. It is limited in it's application to only those who believe.

I did read through it and I believe we agree more than disagree there.

I have never held that we have 'free' will. But we do have a will, which must be exercised.

And I think we may differ some on 'election'.
