Oh yea, this makes perfect sense to me. I test drove a Tesla many years ago when they were first introduced. The car was extremely heavy and handled poorly. So yes, the extra weight will wear out tires sooner. Also if you get enough EV cars and trucks in the upper floors of a parking garage, that can cause a collapse due to too much weight. Those electric vehicles are and always were a very poor idea.
