Erika Kirk has been named CEO of the Turning Point organization. Considering she has two very young children, I'm saddened by this. If Charlie was the family man he's been made out to be, I think he'd be saddened by this as well. I think it would have been the better road for Erika to devote herself to raising her children.

For my time starting out was post Vietnam and basic rifleman qualification was limited to fixed targets at only 300 yards. I never got to shoot anything other than that in the military save one time in the Army Reserves with various pop up targets at various ranges. Still nothing past 300 yards given the weapons we were to use, the M16.

From what I could find, in the event of his death, Charlie wanted her to takeover. Who knows how active she will be on a daily basis, but Im quite sure she wants to make sure Turning point moves forward in the direction Charlie wanted.

I thought about putting this on the Sports page, but I didn't want that page to become political.

I've always thought Pat McAfee was a clown, much more suited to be an announcer for a WWE event than on ESPN's College Gameday. But his response to Charlie Kirks death has changed my opinion of him. Knowing what kind of man he is somehow makes his theatrics more tolerable. Here is his quote:

Charlie Kirk, a name synonymous with having the courage to speak what you believe and seek/welcome conversations with those whom you disagree with.I’m not a political person but I am a proud American citizen and today was startling, saddening, and maddening all at the same time.. This morning I had a similar pleasant surprise.

A podcast that I follow by a married couple who are non-religious Jews and are experts in evolutionary biology (I believe God spoke creation into existence in six literal days and I’ve prayed for them for years) surprised me. They are candid about their atheism. I followed them and other experts during the covid 19 non-sense, along with Dr. Peter McCullough, etc. Anyhow, they encountered Charle Kirk as they were major players when Bobbie Kennedy was listening to Charlie Kirk’s invitation that RFK Jr. join MAGA.

They did a podcast tribute to Charlie Kirk that moved me to tears.

If I ever win the hearts of hardened atheists like Charlie Kirk won theirs, my highest aim of spiritual maturity will have been achieved.

The upcoming memorial honoring the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk in Arizona will have Super Bowl-level security, according to officials familiar with the matter.

“The U.S. Secret Service has been designated as the Federal Coordinator for this effort. Our teams are already on the ground in Phoenix and Glendale, working side-by-side with state, local, and federal partners,” special agent in charge of Secret Service’s Phoenix field office, William Mack, said Thursday in a statement to The Hill’s sister network, NewsNation. “Together, we are fully committed to ensuring that these solemn events receive the comprehensive protection and support they require.”

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has designated the forthcoming funeral and memorial service a “Special Event Assessment Rating (SEAR) Level 1 event,” a senior DHS official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said on Thursday.

“This designation is reserved for events of the highest national significance and enables the federal government to provide the full range of law enforcement and security resources necessary to support local officials in ensuring a safe and successful event,” the official added.

I am hoping that its filled with a lot of that and not so much "ra-ra" political talk. TPUSA is filled with many Catholics and mormons who add works to the gospel.
Maybe God will put a muzzle on all that and let the truth shine through.
What a monumental moment to waste if it just turns into a big GOP stump speech.

Keep in mind Charlie was not a pastor, but in his short life, and certainly after his death, his impact worldwide is likely greater than the majority of Pastors.

GOP is made up of many religions. Hopefully, those who are not a Christian will soon see the Light.

I am listening to the pre speakers at Charlie's Memorial...around 2:50 PM Eastern... This feels like the revival I experienced in the USA in the late 60s and early 70s... only Bigger, much BIGGER!
I also got the feeling God is giving one last chance for all of us... the line not "is being drawn"... it "has been drawn."

The world is being told that the mess the world is in is of satanic origin... His Gospel is being preached to the whole world... world wide we are being forced to choose our side. ... we know how this ends...
