Charlie Kirk shot at Utah Valley University.

But at the time, Saul approved of the stoning of Stephen, and went on to persecute the Church further until Jesus stopped him cold on the Damascus road. I'm dense this AM, not sure I'm picking up your point. Are you saying the attitude Stephen reflected as he was being stoned is what may convince the teeth-gnashers out there? l'm not sure I could muster that, unless maybe I also directly saw Heaven opened. I'd be fighting for my life! I agree tho that reflecting back hate does nothing helpful. We have to turn that anger into resolve to do what's right.

ETA:
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
No not my point, you aren't dense, I wasn't clear.

Simply that there may be "Pauls" out there whose consciences are going to work overtime to show them how wrong they were to rejoice at Charlie's death. How the very free speech the left claims to love, was one of the many reasons Kirk was murdered.

Those who are involved in grooming future murderers using school curriculum, teacher training at university etc NEED to be dealt with.

What I'm saying is that there are those on the left who might be starting the process of truth dismantling what they've been taught. Not everyone yelling about Charlie will end up staying like that.

Some will come round to understanding what Charlie stood for- not just free speech, but also Christ.

Like Paul- those ones (and like Paul they are few) need our prayers.

Those on the left aren't all bad anymore than those on the right are all good. I hate the polarization that is happening - but it's everywhere, and it's not just the States and not just with Charlie Kirk.

It's like a civil war, but over the whole globe. Hatred, a lack of civil discourse, resorting to violence against those perceived as "others".

Marxist LGBTQ Paramilitary Group in Utah Under Investigation by FBI Regarding Kirk Assassination as Group Leader’s Ties to State Department and United Nations are Revealed

A group under investigation by the FBI for having potential foreknowledge of Charlie Kirk’s assassination has a leader with some damning ties to both the federal government and the United Nations.

As The Gateway Pundit’s Cassandra MacDonald previously reported, The investigation into the assassination of Kirk has expanded to scrutinize pro-trans online communities to figure out if they helped him with the shooting — or at least heard it was going to happen.

One of the groups is a Marxist paramilitary organization called Armed Queers of Salt Lake City, which took down its Instagram after Kirk was killed.

In a video that has since been scrubbed, the leaders of the Armed Queers of Salt Lake City brag about a trip to communist Cuba in May of 2025, where they trained with militant Marxists to stage a “revolution in America” when they returned home. The leaders they met with boasted about being labeled “terrorists” by the United States.

Whether we like it or not, the first amendment protects free speech for all Americans.

*If anyone "speaks" in disagreement, its protected speech.
*If anyone "speaks" with joy over someone's death, it is morally wrong, but it is protected speech.

But when speech incites violence to harm others, or calls to k*ll anyone over differing views, this is not protected speech under the first amendment.
Incitement to violence, especially towards a people group, that is potentially carried out, is terrorism defined, and should not be tolerated.
Calls to k*ll anyone or people group that potentially leads to it being done, is murder and should not be tolerated.

Our constitution was framed from "unalienable rights from God". This includes free speech.
But, these rights are not to be abused and used for evil.

"Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God"
1 Peter 2:16

Our problem in this world is a Spiritual/spiritual battle between good and evil. They will call evil good and good evil. Satan uses people which are not saved to do evil things. Gods people will serve him and help others in need. They also show the fruit of the Spirit which unbelievers do not have because they are not born again of The Spirit.

When evil is being displayed, as believers who love what is good and hold to biblical Truth, it can be difficult to process evil in a positive way, especially when evil impacts us personally or those we love.
Our fallen nature wants to respond, sometimes with anger, and rejection of that evil.
God's Word reminds us

“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath"
Ephesians 4:26

This means its okay to be angry, but we need to deal with that anger, praying to God and not hold on to that anger lest it over take us, and may cause us to sin.

We should reject evil, and hold to what is good.

"The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate."
Proverbs 8:13

"Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good."
Romans 12:9

We need to pray for those doing evil.

“But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
28 bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.
29 To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either.
30 Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back.
31 And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.

32 “But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back.
35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.
36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful."
Luke 6:27-36

When Jesus was crucified,

"Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do...."
Luke 23:34

When Stephen was stoned for his faith,

"And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 56 Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep."
Acts 7:55-56

As difficult as it can be, we need to pray for those who practice evil. Pray that they repent and turn to Jesus for salvation. The blood of Jesus can wash away even the worst of sin. Anyone who repents and believes on Jesus can be saved. Saul who became Paul is a good example that anyone can come to Christ and be saved, even the worst sinner.

13 "although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.
15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. 16 However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. "
1 Timothy 1:13-16

We must hate evil, because God hates evil.
But we need to pray for every sinner to seek The Lord in repentance for their sins, and that they accept Jesus as their Savior and be transformed in the renewal of their minds, that they may also hate what is evil, and receive the goodness and love of God in their hearts.

This is not my opinion. This is what The Word of God teaches us.
Let us pray for a flood of new believers to come to faith, even out of the worst of the worst, in the short time that is left before God releases His wrath on an unrepented world.

Just to add. While we pray for those who do evil, we are reminded that God does not turn a blind eye on those who refuse to repent and turn away from evil
He does care when those who do evil against Him, or His saints, and He will take righteous action against those who do not repent and turn away from evil.

"The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen."
1 Timothy 4:18

"Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord"
Romans 12:19

"For the Lord loves justice; he will not forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off."

Watch: DA Reads Text Messages That Make Suspected Charlie Kirk Assassin's Motive Clear

The suspect in the death of Charlie Kirk revealed to his romantic partner that he shot Kirk, according to text messages read Tuesday by Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray.

“Robinson: Why did I do it?,” Gray read.
“Twiggs: Yeah.”

“Robinson: I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out. If I am able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left no evidence. Going to attempt to retrieve it again, hopefully they have moved on. I haven’t seen anything about them finding it.”

“Robinson’s mother explained that over the last year or so, Robinson had become more political and had started to lean more to the left, becoming more pro-gay and trans-rights oriented,” Gray said.

Newsweek reported that during the conversation, Robinson told his parents, “There is too much evil and the guy spreads too much hate,” speaking of Kirk.

Frank Turek was in the car with Charlie performing CPR on the way to the hospital.

This is a tear jerker, but it is the best tribute I have heard all week. Frank talks about his friendship with Charlie and then recounts the events of that day and shares what has happened since.

I was riveted from beginning to end
