Charlie Kirk shot at Utah Valley University.

Charlie Kirk’s Pastor: ‘His Life Was Secured Eternally by His Savior Jesus Christ’

Charlie Kirk’s belief in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior allowed him to “face every threat with courage because he didn’t fear death,” his pastor and friend, Rob McCoy, said after the 31-year-old Turning Point USA founder was assassinated on Wednesday.

“My friend Charlie Kirk was murdered today by a coward. His life will be remembered for many wonderful things,” said McCoy, who is co-chair of TPUSA Faith. “He built it all with the power of the spoken word. He never used violence but was threatened every day with violence by those who couldn’t contend with logic and truth and now they have done to my friend what evil always does; it takes away life. ”

“Charlie did not die however but instead he has begun to truly live. His life was secured eternally by His Savior Jesus Christ. This truth allowed Charlie to face every threat with courage because he didn’t fear death,” he continued, according to a statement posted by journalist Megan Basham. “All evil knows is death and they derive power from death. Charlie lived for life and will be remembered for this.”

“My heart is broken for his family; His wife Erika and his two precious children,” the Godspeak Calvary Chapel pastor said. “Evil has not prevailed and it will not win.”

Pastors, Evangelical leaders react to the killing of Charlie Kirk:

Franklin Graham
"What a tragedy. It has been announced that Charlie Kirk has died after being shot during an event at Utah Valley University today. This young man loved his country and invested his time and energy in trying to make it the best it could be. He stood boldly for conservative values and defended free speech for all of us," he wrote.

Greg Laurie

Pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship in California and Hawaii mourned the loss of Kirk and hailed his courage and "unwavering voice for biblical truth." He also reminded believers of the assurance of salvation and that those who put their faith in Christ will one day be reunited with their loved ones.

I know he is with Jesus and having the best time. I’m still angry at how the shooter isn’t caught and how the media and countless celebrities have gotten away with lying, defamation, and evil comments promoting violence against Christians and anyone who opposes the Satanic Agendas in this nation.

That is what boils my blood. They just continue to work for Satan and get away with it in this life. I know there is judgement coming but in the meantime it is hard waiting for that to happen.

Woke up sad this morning about this.
Honestly this has renewed my love and compassion for those mixed up in NAR.
I used to be mixed up in that before I knew better. I became indifferent and annoyed toward them once I knew better. But who am I?
I will say from personal experience that the vast majority of these brethren are in error (yes, some are in grievous error) and misled (yes, some terribly misled) but are genuinely saved, sincere Christians who love Jesus.

Charlie knows his error now. Its swallowed up by Christ Jesus.
The Lord is much more merciful than we are.
Infinitely so.

Even the liberal people are unsympathetic toward the conservative movement that I see everyday are paying attention to yesterday’s occurrence and are watching the news on Kirk’s death. They know that this is tragically wrong. 🥲
There are youngsters on TikTok who are celebrating his death and laughing about it. They are so depraved, it’s scary. Just think how this world will be after the Restrainer leaves. Unchecked evil. So scary.

The truth is we are a nation split spiritually now, and split nearly equally. Followers of baal and followers of the One True God. These forces cannot coexist in the same space. We are therefore locked in spiritual conflict.

I told my wife last night that I am ready for us to move to the "New World"... but there is no new America to move to, to start a new God based settlement. There is no where left to run on this earth to start over.

I do not know how we solve this on the earth by human means. His wisdom is far above our wisdom. He is making it clear Jesus is our ONLY hope. ... but we all know that, and the other side wants us deed. Heaven help us. Oh Lord hear the cries of your children longing for You.

We were told the times would be perilous, and like the days of Noah. It's important we don't lose heart, don't dwell in anger, but push forward in love with the joy of the Lord. The battle IS spiritual, and those who would hate the good, who mock and call evil good are also deceived victims of the enemy. The victory is already won in Christ, and there are glorious days ahead.

I caught the news late yesterday afternoon and went to bed in tearful prayers for him and his family.

The truth is we are a nation split spiritually now, and split nearly equally. Followers of baal and followers of the One True God. These forces cannot coexist in the same space. We are therefore locked in spiritual conflict.
Yesterday this became painfully evident. It is sad that common decency is gone.
