Carney's Liberals win Canada election, will form minority government, CTV says

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's Liberals retained power in the country's election on Monday, but CTV News predicted they would fall short of the majority government he had wanted to help him negotiate tariffs with US President Donald Trump.

The Liberals were leading or elected in 156 districts, followed by the Conservatives with 145, according to CTV.

The westernmost province of British Columbia, where polls closed last, could decide whether Liberals fall short of a majority government.

This is obviously NOT what I'd hoped for.

Waking up losing my country to outside forces beyond my control.

The attack on Canada excused as "trolling" even when it's repeated, even when Trump denies it as trolling, and even when he explains on American FOX news exactly how he plans to accomplish it. (I gave links to that in other threads)

The undeniable evidence that he is going thru with his stated objectives to destroy Canada politically and financially, so he can annex us. He said in that interview that was why he disliked Poilievre (our Conservative candidate) and favoured Carney.

It's ironic that he says he wants to replace our armed forces with his own so that we won't have to spend money defending ourselves. When he is actually the current biggest existential threat to Canada losing it's sovereignty. Yes there are others, but he is the biggest one right now that is trying to destroy us as a country.

Tariffs are excusable. Tearing up the trade agreement he negotiated and called the greatest trade agreement ever in his first term, that too can be excused.

BUT Trump's continual interference in our election and desire to remove us as a nation are NOT! Most normal countries view that as a declaration of intention to war.

He was at it again yesterday as Canada went to the polls.

It is the reason the election went the way it did. Before Trump started the 51st state stuff, Poilievre was in a comfortable lead. That immediately flipped to Carney who as a WEF international banker was viewed as the obvious choice, even for Canadians who had been going to vote Conservative. Exit polls painted the same picture. Canadians who are angry with what Trudeau did, and want a change, set that need aside in order to counter the threat to our nation from President Trump.

We didn't use the voting machines. It was all done the old fashioned way and the counting is not yet over- it was still going on when I checked. It looks like a majority govt for the Liberals under Carney, without any voting machine tampering. They realized they didn't even need to cheat. Just play on Trump's 51st State comments. That did it.

Trump explaining that he wants us to lose our national status and become a mere state (province) under his control is the same as if Britain woke up and decided one day that America still belonged to them, and 1776 was just a stroke of the pen, that should be reversed.

Think how you would feel if that happened, and Britain was 10 times your population size.

I've struggled a lot with forgiveness for that, and for the interference in our elections that has thrown us into the arms of the WEF, globalist cabal, and the leftists.

But I've noticed that first I have to acknowledge the reality of what has been done, and the reality that God has allowed it. Before I can forgive, I have to realize and admit what has happened.

I am a Christian first. A Canadian second. That gives me some perspective, but I still find my self walking thru grief, tremendous anger and struggling to forgive.

This is no joke, and today I wake up to the fact that Carney is going to pivot towards the EU, The Commonwealth, and The Francophonie.

So I need to forgive Trump for the irreparable harm he has done to Canada in throwing the election to the left, to someone worse than Trudeau.

Carney is already pivoting to create an anti US trading bloc within the G7, talking about cancelling the remainder of the F22's he ordered from the US in favour of Swedish Gripens, and working closely with Britain to integrate our armed forces with them and with whatever the EU comes up with in lieu of NATO.

We will be moving away from trade with the US, apart from contractual obligations with NORAD, any F22's or other armaments we've already paid for etc. When NATO starts to dissolve as the US moves away from that - we will be going with Europe. it will take time but this process is already underway, in the short time Carney was the appointed, not elected Prime Minister. Now that he is elected, that process will go faster.

I'm working on the anger, bitterness, and unforgiveness that I'm dealing with.

Like I said above, think how you'd feel if Britain was 10x your size, and strength and woke up one day to tell you that 1776 was just a stroke of the pen, an artificial border, and that this should be reversed. Then went about making that happen.

Putting God first. Letting HIM place the leader in control of Canada that GOD decides we require.

At the end of the day, Trump is a tool in God's Hands. God and God alone determines who wins, who loses and what happens. The enemy tries to stay in control, but he is on a leash and this ugly nasty picture will someday be replaced by King Jesus, ruling from Jerusalem. That is my country, that is my King.

That is my future. Forgiveness isn't a feeling, it's an active choice, and I choose forgiveness. But just in case you think it's easy, it's not. And it's moment by moment.

I dont blame Trump at all. The people of Canada had a choice and they chose the far left.

That, or there was enough voting fraud to give it to the libtard. I suspect that much of Canada has the same problems with voter fraud that we have in the USA.

If I understand correctly, the Canadian govmint wouldn't have the authority to fold the Provinces into the USA. Each individual province would have to make that decision and could decide that on their own whether the Canadian govmint approves or not. The Territories, on the other hand, are at the mercy of the Canadian govmint.

Yes I agree with the second part.

As I said, think how you'd feel if Britain said that about America and was 10x your size and strength. You'd be a bit choked too.

If Trump had kept his mouth shut, there was a running chance that our Conservatives would have won. But as I also said, God is the one who ultimately determines our leaders.

I feel you Margery, our elections are this Saturday and we are most likely going to retain Albanese.

At the moment our country is going crazy because the Indigenous Aboriginals had a welcome top country message at each ANZAC ceremony (Australia and New Zealand's version of Veteran's day) .

Our veterans fired up and say why are we being "welcomed" into our own country that we were born in and went to war for whic i 100% agree with them !!

praying for you guys, I noticed you are up for elections a little before I took my digital detox, no glowing screens, no news break. I saw some indicators of the problems.

Agree with your vets! A friend of ours from NZ, now with the Lord, had many a pithy remark about just that very situation. Hah, just thought she and George must have had a nice meet and greet up there, when he died. Sonja was a beloved friend of us both.

Really hear you. We know this is not our real home and have confident hope in our eternal future, but while we are here our hearts grieve at the suffering with current events we're in the midst of.

Choosing to forgive in the midst of such powerful, overwhelming, and all over the place emotions over the difficulty we see coming is hard. It's hard to peel the eyes off the problem to the One Who's the solution at times!

Boy, the books of Jeremiah, Ezekial, Habakkuk, etc. become even more relevant in terms of their shock, grief and dismay, don't they?

You put into words a very similar situation of mine many years back when a smooth talking leader came into power here. People around me didn't see it yet but I knew from my research that our country was in real, serious trouble. I was reeling inside trying to reconcile how we had gotten to that point. And I couldn't talk to anyone because everyone around me was infatuated.

Our hearts just break as we watch things unfold. We sigh and weep for the people we care about, our countries that stray further and further from God, and how our countries are undermined and pillaged in various ways. It's so heavy, disheartening at times.

Thank God He's bigger than even this and has an eternal plan. Yes, we know it but our hearts are overwhelmed in processing events sometimes.

This was where I asked God if He would remove the weight I couldn't bear, that He would diminish the emotions that were too much for me..... that He would instead encourage me somehow, give me His perspective, align me with His plans in the midst of what He's permitted.

By His grace, He did, by His power He comforted and helped me out of the deep mud. I know He will for you too, dear sister, and I know you know this but want to say it anyways....because sometimes we need the comfort of that friend to say it sometimes.

You know, Margery, last week (very busy and under the weather) you very much came to mind and I decided that perhaps you needed some extra prayer.... God knew you would need some prayer support and tapped the shoulder. So, know that God knows what you're going through, He cares and He got supportive prayer going on your behalf.

Continuing in prayer for you and all others here and the church at large.

Thank you for sharing all of this. Appreciate reading your raw perspective coming from Canada. I can’t for the life of me understand why he spoke such provocations the day before the election.
