Happy Thusday,
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
King James Version
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Losing your mate after 55 years, is hard and painful. Sadness doesn't just disappear. Yet God reminds that although saved people pass away just like unsaved people, if our loved one is saved and we are saved, we will be united again. We will be together and we will talk again. We are not a people without hope. There will be times we will feel broken, but God is an expert on putting broken pieces back together.
Maranatha,
Betty
Rough time Betty! Praying for you and the family!September 1, 2025
Monday,
Four years ago today, my son Jeff passed away. A little over two weeks ago my husband passed away,
Needless to say, I am having trouble sleeping. Not only does my heart break for me but for Jeff’s sweet wife, Sarah, and his six-year-old daughter, Savannah.
This will be a hard day for the whole family. We do have joy in that we will see them both again in Heaven.
Yet for today we will grieve their loss and draw closer to God for peace and comfort.
Maranatha,
Betty
Amen to this, Betty.September 11, 2025
Happy Thursday,
A New Season
As many of you know, I often suffer from insomnia. I came across a video on YouTube the other night about change. He said that he did not know who the video was for but it was about changes in a person’s life. The last year and half, my life has taken on many changes and losses.
He talked about how changes bring on a new Season in our lives. That we should not concentrate on the losses but look at our life as a new beginning. I took this video to heart.
I am praying that God will continue to use me for His glory. I am praying that all the changes will bring a new and stronger relationship with me and God.
Change is hard but when we surrender to God, God can use loss to make us spiritually stronger. Instead of growing bitter we can grow more compassionate towards others who are also struggling.
There is no doubt that the world is growing more evil. The devil can see that his time is coming to an end. We must not give in to fear. God is still in control. We can still put our complete trust in our Heavenly Father. This is not the time to neglect our prayer and Scripture reading.
Maranatha,
Betty
Oh Betty!Last year I told hubby that I had cried the night before, because I was missing our son who had passed away. Hubby told me to wake him up next time and we could cry together.
Tonight I am crying because hubby has passed away. There is no one to comfort me now,
Daily Prayer for September 24 CHRISTOPH FRIEDRICH BLUMHARDT “Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. John 12:24–25, NIV Dear Father in heaven, we long to be your children and to grow closer and closer to eternal life with all its goodness and truth. In your love to us your children, bless us as we walk on earth under great stress and temptation. Keep us from going astray, and let what you have placed in our hearts grow toward perfection, to your glory and your honor. May our hearts always know the joy that our struggle and suffering are not in vain, that if we are faithful, we may bring forth the fruit of righteousness. Amen” |

I watched Charlie Kirk’s Memorial Service. It was a blessing to see so many different speakers, speak about how to obtain salvation and how very important salvation is to each person. Salvation determines where we will spend eternity.
The devil sought to silence Mr. Kirk, but in his death, he reached so many people after his death. God took a tragedy and turned into a Revival. Glory to God.
