Actress Kristen Stewart Suggests Americans Stop Buying Burgers During Daytime to Protest Crackdown on Illegal Immigrants

Well-known
Actress Kristen Stewart is suggesting that Americans stop buying burgers during the daytime in order to protest the crackdown on illegal immigrants.

After being asked, “What would break your heart if it disappeared from LA?” the Twilightstar replied, “immigrants,” before offering the public a lengthy word-salad that contained a bizarre suggestion for protesting the United States’ crackdown on illegal immigration.

“I, I can’t stand the idea that the dismantling of the culture that did have a hand in, like, making me who I am, which is so meaningless in the face of people’s lives being, like, completely unearthed, uprooted, destroyed, like, just the, this is, this is, like, not who we are,” Stewart continued.

“So, like, where I’m from, I don’t identify with that right now. And so like, I, I, I, I, I definitely am dying every day thinking, so do we make movies about this? Do we throw all of our money at it?” the Snow White and the Huntsman star added.

Stewart went on to suggest that perhaps refraining from buying burgers during the daytime could be a way to protest the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration.

:ahaha:

🍔 🍔 🍔 :tap:

Here, they're adding a rectangular red sticker with the word "ICE" in white letters under the word "STOP" on stop signs :headbang:

These are professionally printed and neatly applied, so one could at first glance, think for a moment that the road or public works department were warning people of ice in the area. Worst case, an immigrant sees it, doesn't realize it's protest instead of safety, and sits extra long at an intersection to be extra safe. Many immigrant drivers are inexperienced driving in ice and snow and are terrified. Some Women, who had never been allowed to drive before getting to the U.S., sometimes appear absolutely petrified.

She's probably after some free publicity - the sillier the better because the whole point is to get people talking, mentioning her name whether in derision like we are here, or in support. Either way she wins some headlines which are the breath of life in Hollywood. I think she's trying to give her career a boost.

I'm really not sure who she even is.
Not surprised. You're not missing much.

For anyone who wonders who on earth she is, or what Twilight was about: Twilight was written over 20 years ago now, and the movies came out a few years after, which would be about the time Kristen starred in the movie franchise of that name. She got typecast and then she was involved in a very public scandal. (I read the series years later)

I can't remember if Twilight began the Vampire craze or if Buffy the Vampire Slayer did, but either which way vampires were popular then. Pop Culture. And Twilight adds a Mormon propaganda twist.

Twilight books came first and were a popular series with teenage girls, written by a devout Mormon, it's teen romance with vampires and werewolves combined with abstinence before marriage and a prolife stance - quite a mixture. Our daughter was in her late teens at the time. She wasn't attracted to it thankfully. Popular even in Christian circles due to the abstinence and prolife messages. Problematic in the very Mormon roles for men and women. The movies followed quickly.

Mormon themes weigh down the story, with the tribe of "good" vampires led by a Joseph Smith type (even cast as a lookalike in the movies) versus the obvious "evil" Italian vampires with mafia style values - a subtle slam at Catholics. Other parts of the story involve more traditional Christians - an Anglican priest- as bad guys. Good people in the series range from the very Mormon seeming tribe of "good" vampires, to the native Indian spirituality werewolves and agnostic humans. Evolution is mentioned in a positive way. Stalking, gaslighting and lying are "ok" because the hero does that to "protect" his human girlfriend or show his devotion.

A really good ex Mormon critic that I like went thru the series explaining exactly why this was Mormon propaganda. Glenn Beck promoted the books when they first came out. He's a Mormon too. Of course. That is when I first heard of the series. The writer of the books was heavily involved in the movies which is why they managed to weave in the Joseph Smith casting and other Mormon tidbits.

It's bad when the werewolves are the only semi sane ones in the bunch. NOT one I'd recommend for teenagers. Let alone Christian teens.

All in all Kristen might have done better to stay away from the series. It hasn't aged well. Nor has her ability to talk coherently. I don't blame her for grasping at cheeseburger boycotts to save her career.

Thanks! I am aware of the book series, being it's a subgenre of the romance industry.

Never read them or saw the movies. so didn't know her.
