80-mph winds rip through Washington, DC, causing significant damage across metro
From FoxNews:

WASHINGTON – Severe storms on Saturday produced wind gusts of hurricane force around the District of Columbia, downing trees and leading to widespread power outages.

First responders were busy in the first hours after the storm responding to calls of trees on top of homes and cars and called the damage in some neighborhoods "significant."

Videos and photos from K Street in the heart of the district to neighborhoods in the sprawling suburbs of Maryland and Virginia showed nearly the same scenes – uprooted trees and snapped limbs nearly everywhere you turned.

I'll say it again: God is trying to get people's attention. Worldwide. This is a warning before He unleashes judgment.
Fear usually causes people to look for help. And human nature is such that when natural help fails they often search for some supernatural help. Thus the wise will pay attention and seek God. And those who do and repent will find Him very ready to forgive.
This is why the Bible says at least three times that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Yes, indeed it is. Therefore, as Psalm 128:1 states: "Blessed is every one who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways."
But time is running out. This age of grace that has lasted for roughly two thousand years is almost over. The signs are everywhere. Now is the time to repent and seek God: before His judgment is unleashed.
