What she described I would call a
Divine Appointment where God has arranged for someone to come into your life at just the right time that you need them to. I have experienced this many times mostly helping someone else, but the first few times God was reaching out to me by someone else.
One quick example of me helping someone else is this.
Just after I got saved an old girlfriend I had not communicated with in a few years gave me a call. Well one of the questions she asked as you might expect after not communicating for so long was "
What's new with you?". Well that was the perfect question for her to ask as I went on talking for about 15 minutes telling her about my new salvation and how real God was.
When I finally stopped talking and let her speak she said this is so weird. She said she just returned from a business trip staying in a hotel that had a bible next to her bed. It was opened to John 3:16 which
caught her eye for some reason. I then felt this very strong confirmation as to why she called me and said to her, "
Well you know why you called me don't you?". She replied with "
Yes I do and that is so weird". Shortly after that she accepted Jesus as he Savior. So she and I both knew that it was God that arranged this
Divine Appointment for her so she would know God is real.
I have had many other
Divine Appointments after that and just love it when that happens. While I know for sure that God is real, it still feels wonderful when I know I am doing something in his will. It usually causes me to become somewhat emotional and tear up. Now I am always looking for
Divine Appointments and not just considering them to be a coincidence. Maybe some of you have had them and have not given God the credit. When you give God the credit he will use you in his will much more often.
